Mind-broadening events VisitAarhus Convention has as its main task to promote Ă…rhus & East Jutland as a convention, conference, incentives, and events destination. VisitAarhus Convention is a non-profit-making network consisting of approx. 45 enterprises throughout the region. We cooperate with hotels, conference venues, unconventional venues, restaurants, music venues, museums, theatres, team-building organisations, outdoor activity companies - and many others. Together with our partners, it is our task to offer individual, developmental, business-related and action-packed events in Ă…rhus & East Jutland.

The ARoS art museum is a spectacular image-and-events centre presenting art of the highest quality. It also boasts exceptional conference facilities which provide unique opportunities for combining business-related events with wonderful art experiences. If ”the good old days” are more to your liking you can add extra spice to your conference event by locating it in a reconstructed historical house in The Old Town, for example in the Helsingør Theatre, the Hobro Warehouse, or the Mintmaster’s Mansion. If your preference is for a location in the countryside you can find perfect peace and quiet at, for example, the ’Fuglsøcentret’ conference centre at the foot of the beautiful rolling hills of ‘Mols Bjerge’.

Explore Århus and East Jutland Århus is situated in the middle of the beautiful East Jutland area in the heart of Denmark. In East Jutland there are, among its many other attractions, the unique glacial landscapes - the rolling hills of the ‘Mols Bjerge’; the beautiful Silkeborg lakes; large areas of beautiful woodlands; the ‘Himmelbjerget’; miles of sandy bathing beaches; and the Bay of Århus which is the perfect spot for water casting, windsurfing, angling, jet-boating, etc. Århus – the ”capital” of East Jutland – was founded by the Vikings more than 1000 years ago. The city has approx. 300,000 inhabitants, including a student population of nearly 40,000. Århus is a thriving modern city where technology, knowledge, art, culture, history, and a vibrant city-life all co-exist.

If you want state-of-the art conference facilities, you will find 33 conference rooms at the Radisson SAS / Scandinavian Congress Center; superb auditoria and halls at Concert Hall Aarhus; conference rooms from another world at The Japanese Garden; or you can meet the past at Moesgaard Museum.

Unconventional conferences and events The venues, the things to do and see, and the events – of an unconventional nature of course – are all inspiring and challenging in Århus. In addition to stimulating all of the senses, a convention creates loyalty, team spirit, satisfaction and, not least, new energy. There are opportunities galore: diving with sharks; sightseeing from the back seat of a Harley Davidson; a company golf tournament; exploring the art museum; a banquet in a castle or an old mansion; conferencing in a turbine hall, an old equestrian hall, or a historical theatre – the only limits are set by your imagination.

”I was surprised by all the possibilities which the Århus area has to offer. I had always thought that Copenhagen had much more to offer, but I have to admit that Århus and East Jutland has just as much - for example - riding as a back-seat passenger on a Harley Davidson through Djursland and the beautiful rolling hills of the ‘Mols Bjerge’; a celebration in The Old Town, or at the ‘Turbinehallen’ event location, or at the Varna mansion, and so on and so on. In Århus and East Jutland, the only limits are set by your imagination.” Maria Rosenlind, Capgemini
