Maria Selkou was born in Athens, Greece. She is a graduate of Architecture (Diploma) in National Technical University of Athens where she studied during the period 2003-2009. Her diploma project involved the design of two parallel routes along the seaside border of Vouliagmeni and the design of a floating theatre. During her final years in Architecture in Athens, at the period 2008-2009 she has worked as a trainee architect at the Workshop Dionisis Sotovikis. She currently runs her MSc in Architecture, Urbanism and Building sciences at TU Delft. Her final graduation project with the title “A new railway station in Koog-Zaandijk and the redevelopment of the station area” concentrates on the design of a hybrid railway station in the Netherlands. The station design forms part of an urban plan with the aim of densification around the railway station areas. Her main interests include photography, furniture, object and graphic design.
