UST Inter-building Skywalk
Design Philosophy “Designing Architecture that Co-Exist with Nature Symbiotically” Project Objectives: 1. To make architecture as a tool for climate adaptation; 2.To provide an elevated skywalk system that links the university‟s major building and emphasizes with its campuscape; and 3. To develop an original Thomasian skywalk model that can be recommended to University‟s future construction
Design concept: “Puzzle- connecting the pieces, connecting University of Santo Tomas. This structure will serve as a connection for students, faculty members & visitors. This bridge will serve as their way in times of disaster.”
OASIS-Cebu Orthopaedic Centre
Ground Floor Plan Design goal To raise the quality of medical centers in the Philippines and be internationally renowned as one of the best countries that provides excellent services and modern nature-oriented hospitals.
Project objectives To provide an orthopedic center that caters the needs of its patients in terms of procedures & rehabilitation. To set the standards in terms of design, and serve as a template for our local medical structures. To incorporate green architecture in the orthopedic center

DESIGN STRATEGY Cebu is known for their massive tropical climate. A place is considered tropical, when they only experience a small amount of rain yearly. To solve this matter in structures, it is highly recommended to install large windows with long eaves on top of them. This is to allow the wind to enter the building and at the same time control the sun rays. But today, due to climate change, weather can already go extreme. We can experience severe heat or even intensive rainfall without any advice from weather news. To take precaution, we can elevate the building higher than the usual prescribed elevation to prevent flood-water in entering the site during typhoons. For hot climate condition, there is an innovative solution for thisPutting courtyards and sky gardens. It has been scientifically proven that greeneries can reduce heat

EVOLUTION OF FORMS “This Orthopedic center will be the stairs of every patient towards healing. The main goal of the structure is to make the occupants feel the progress within their health status.
Front Elevation Design philosophy “First we shape our buildings; then they shape us” Wiston Churchill (1943) Upon observing our society, it is our structures that help see the progress that we‟ve undergone to. Buildings shape up through what we call self- realization. We learn to adopt according to the building‟s purpose & make us aware of our roles as humans. As architects it is their task to entice the senses of the occupants staying in the areas, and help them see their selves through the edifice‟s aesthetics.

Design Goal: “To instantly act in response to the calamity-striken areas by means of rapid construction of sturdy structures.” Design Objectives:
To design a learning facility that is community centred in terms of its easy access areas and large outdoor spaces. To design a learning facility that exhibits nature as its dominant feature, through the use of natural ventilations and earth– friendly materials To design a learning facility that can be easily constructed in times of calamity through ready to assembly walls, roof & windows using prefabricated materials

EVOLUTION OF FORMS “Holding hands It symbolizes hope for humanity. It depicts an act of love. It signifies unity. It is what this structure should stand for.”
TONGUE & GROOVE FOR PLYWOOD FLOORING The proper joining of bamboo is a way of strengthening the frame or the structural feature of the building.
