Can people go to mars and explore there? The people had so may questions that they wanted to find the answers to those questions. They did some researched some things about mars and agreed that they would have to build a rover to mars because mars is to dangerous for people to go there.

Curiosity’s Story • The people started making designs for building a rover to land on mars. The first rover was Viking 1. The second was Viking 2. The third was pathfinder. The fourth was polar lander. The fifth one was spirit. The sixth one was opportunity The seventh one was phoenix. The eighth one was science laboratory. Last but not least curiosity was launched to mars.

Curiosity’s Instruments • The rover Curiosity had instruments to explore. Curiosity instruments that the rover carried was a camera, infrared laser, on the rovers arm is a microscope, x-ray, spectrometer, and a drill.

Fun Facts about curiosity • “NASA's newest Mars rover is headed for the Red Planet, a 1-ton robotic beast that will take planetary exploration to the next level.” • “The car-size Curiosity rover is the centerpiece of NASA's $2.5 billion Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission, slated to blast off Saturday (Nov. 26) from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Curiosity's main goal is to assess whether the Red Planet is, or ever was, capable of supporting microbial life.” • • “The rover will employ 10 different science instruments to help it answer this question once it touches down on the Red Planet in August 2012. Here's a brief rundown of these instruments (and one more on the rover's heat shield):”

This is the people that control curiosity • The people that controlled the rover curiosity was mission control.

Geological features and weather patterns on mars. • Some of Curiosity's objectives were to find weather patterns so it know a safe place to land and find geological features to find water on mars.
