Week 1
Form: he,she,it + v +s Use: You can use it in present actions happening one after another. In general (regulary, often, never) Bush This is my dog Bush, he is a Dachshund. He plays a lot with plastic bottles. But the best part is how much I love him. I still remeber the day I adopted him, he runs into my arms and since that moment we knew real love exists. Adopt, don’t buy, believe me your dog knows how much you love him and he will always stay grateful with you, no matter what, he loves you.
Simple Present is a very simple verb tense, but we need to be careful with the use of the “S” in the verbs.
I feel myself prepared to use Simple Present with much more confidence. Now I am able to understand it better.
Week 1 Form: form of “be” + verb -ing
Use: You can use it also for several actions happening at the same time. Right Now
Speech My name is María López and I’m part of “Safe some Paws” association. We are working very hard to avoid animal abuse in the country but we need your help. You must start to see the reality we live in, dear president, you are talking too much about the animal abuse law but you are not working on it. Please help us to end up with the Animal Abuse in Costa Rica.
Present Progressive is a simple verb tense if you know how to use it. We need to be careful with the verbs that we can’t use with the –ing form.
Right now I feel much more comfortable when I need to write or talk using Present Progressive. I need to be careful with some verbs but I’m glad to understand it.
Week 1 Form: irregular verbs and regular verbs -ed Use: You can use it in a new action or after another action.

This is such a simple verb tense. The hardest part is to learn the irregular verbs.
Now I understand a lot of new irregular verbs I didn’t know at the beginning of the course.
Week 1
Form: past form of “be” + verb (-ing) Use: You can use it in an action that is already in progress or in an action at the same time.
Robbery Victim I was working at “Importadora Monge” when two guys were looking the store very mysterious so I decided to call the cops. Unfortunately it was very late, they were disconnecting all the telephone lines. I was crying a lot, they assaulted the store. They took my celphone and my wallet. Everything was very fast, I just remeber I was calling the cops very nervous.
This verb tense for me is not very difficult but we must be careful with the use of the past of “be”.
Now I know when I can use this verb tense to make a different and unique work.
Week 2
Form: has/have + past participle Use: You use it to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now.
Song: "The Only Exception“ by Paramore And we've got to find other ways to make it alone.
This verb tense is very simple but it is important to practice the past participle form.
And I've always lived like this. And up until now I have sworn to myself. I've got a tight grip on reality.
I love the way now I can use this verb tense very often, we can find it in a lot of songs so we can practice it a lot.
Week 2
Form: will + be + infinitive + ing Use: You use it in an action that is going on at a certain time in the future or in an action that is sure to happen in the near future
Love Letter I will be waiting you all day and all night because even you will be looking around for the love of your life God has the perfect plan for both of us. Dear my love I will be loving you until the end of the world. Your eyes will be shining under the stars all the nights of our lives.
This verb tense is very easy but be careful with the use of the verb in the –ing form. Not all the verbs can use -ing
Now that I understand better the Future Progressive I can use it much better when I talk.
Week 3
Form: had + past participle Use: You can express the idea that something occurred before another action in the past. It can also show that something happened before a specific time in the past.
Travel Experience
I had traveled to Paris a couple years ago where there was no terrorism. I had experienced a lot of awesome cultures exchange. The China Culture is one of the best ones ever. If you hadn’t booked a place to visit this vacations, I recomend you Dubai.
For me the hardest part is to learn the verbs in the past participle form, they are a lot.
Now I know more verbs in past participle so I’m able to do different sentences, more complete sentences.
Week 3
Form: had been + present participle Use: You can use it to show that something started in the past and continued up until another time in the past.
Resignation Letter
Dear boss I want to say you a couple of things. First of all I had been working extra hours and you don’t pay me. You had been looking me not in a humble way and I feel uncomfortable with your attitude. So I had been thinking this a lot and I want to renounce.
Past Perfect Progressive depends on the way you use the present participle so be careful with the use of it.ccc
For me using this verb tense was very difficult but now I feel myself prepared to use ir more.
Week 3
Form: will have + past participle Use: It has two different forms: "will have done" and "be going to have done."
Future Goals Im going to live in the USA for 3 year and I am going to have perfected my English by the time I come back. I will have visited a lot of different states by the time my mother come and visit me to the USA.
This verb tense is a little bit difficult. We can use it with “will” or with “be going to” so we need to be careful with this use.
Right now is very different from the beginning of the course. At the beginning I used to forget the different forms of use but now I can use them often.
Week 3
Form: will have been + present participle Use: It has two different forms: "will have been doing " and "be going to have been doing."
Date Disaster
I can’t believe I will have been waiting about 2 hours until you arrive to our date. I am going to have been looking for another boyfriend if you keep doing this to me, its not funny.
This verb tense is a little bit difficult. We can use it with “will have been” or with “have been going to” so we need to be careful with this use.
I need to practice a little bit more but compared to the beginning of the course now I feel much confidence using it.
Week 4 Use: It is a statement followed by a mini-question. We use tag questions to ask for confirmation. They mean something like: "Is that right?" or "Do you agree?"

Tag Questions are very simple, you just need to follow if is used with is, are,did,do… and ask it again at the end of the sentence .
I understand Tag Questions very good. I can use them often.
Week 5
Use: Correlative conjunctions are sort of like tag-team conjunctions. They come in pairs, and you have to use both of them in different places in a sentence to make them work. Some more pairs of correlative conjunctions:

I want either go to the cinema or stay at home watching Netflix. Going to the park isn’t as funny as going to the beach. I rather go and dance with my friends than stay at home. There are as many food as a lot of drinks for the party.
You need to be careful with the pair of correlative conjunctions, not all of them can be separated.
-as/as -such/that -scarcely/when -as many/as -no sooner/than -rather/than
I feel myself prepared now to use them more often, but I need to be careful with the use of them and how I can separated them.
Week 6
Gerunds The gerund is a noun derived from the verb.
The infinitive is the basic form of a verb.
Use: To express an action that happen right now.
Use: to reflect a wish or want.

Infinitives
Watching TV is one of my favorite activities when I’m at home. I love to dance in the parties. I love to cook deserts. I would love to visit Europe. Traveling is my favorite thing in the world. I love to sing even my voice is not the best one.
Gerunds and Infinitives are very simple,you need to be careful with the use of both of them.
I can use them almost in every conversation. They are very common in English. I will practice them more.
Week 7 Use: We use it when we want to talk about something that someone else did for us or for another person.

Causative verbs are not difficult, for me the hardest part of all are the past participle verbs. They are hard to learn.

Now I can use them in my conversations, they are not common in Spanish but they are very important in English.
Week 8
Is a verb plus a preposition or adverb which creates a meaning different from the original verb. Transitive

Can be followed by an object.
Cannot be followed by an object.

Phrasal Verbs are very difficult because there is a lot of them. The only “tip” you can have is start to learn all of them.

Now I know more Phrasal Verbs. At the beginning of the course I didn’t know a lor of them, now I can use more of them in my conversations.
Week 9-10 An adjective clause is simply a group of words with a subject and a verb that provide a description. Is used to describe a noun. Kinds of Adjective Clauses Non-Defining Clause
Defining Clause
1) Gives extra information about the noun.
1) Gives essential information about the noun.
3) Its separated by commas (,)
3) Its not separated by commas (,)
4) “That” is not usually used in this kind of context.

Justin Bieber, who is a singer, lives in Canada. Justin has a new girlfriend which follow s him everywhere. Justin is singing a new song called “Love Yourself” that Ed Sheeran wrote.
They are a little bit confusing, we need to be careful how we use the defining and non-defining clauses.
Now I know much better the different Adjective Clauses that exist. I want to improve my English using them more often.
Week 11
Form: Object + “to be” + past participle. Object + “to be” + past participle + by + subject. Is used when the focus is on the action.
Crime Scene The lady was found without vital signs by the criminologist.
The police will have been working in the case.
I was very confused with the passive voice but my teacher explain it again so I understood it. We must be careful with the use of the passive.
The phone was left next to the lady. The man was pushed against the wall. The psychopath would have been arrested by the local police.
Since my teacher explain me again the Passive Voice now I understand it much better, Im glad to use it correctly.
Week 12-13 They describe the result of something that might happen (in the present or future) or might have happened but didn't (in the past) . Zero

Conditionals are not very difficult but we must remember they are very different and try not to confuse them.
Now I can use them frequently without any problem. I practice more to avoid being confused.
Week 14
Direct
Indirect
Repeats, or quotes, the exact words spoken. When we use direct speech in writing, we place the words spoken between quotation marks (" ") and there is no change in these words. We may be reporting something that's being said NOW, or telling someone later about a previous conversation.
Is usually used to talk about the past, so we normally change the tense of the words spoken. We use reporting verbs like 'say', 'tell', 'ask', and we may use the word 'that' to introduce the reported words. Inverted commas are not used.
Gossip Time! Yesterday in IG a popstar was in a big problem: "I don't love my fans," Justin Bieber said. Justin said that he didn't love his fans but is this true? -------------------------------------Snapchat is crazy, a singer was very mad with his fans: "I never make mistakes," Johny Depp said. Johny said that he never made mistakes. But we know this is not true. He is accused of domestic abuse.
Direct and Indirect Speech is a little bit difficult, but this is about practice and practice.
Now I feel myself much prepared to used it when I talk and write works. If you practice more you learn more.
