Forward Why Am I Writing This eBook Letter? Dear Mr. Trump, I am writing this book in the form of a letter from a Canadian perspective because I have heard and seen enough from you. You sound so ignorant and act like such an American bully, exactly what’s ugly about so many Americans. In your first 300 days, you have destroyed everything that educated and civilized people have worked for all our lives. This has been tolerated by your Republican party because they have multiple hidden agendas at play: to continue to dumb down the masses and take control of the population to create a racist, totalitarian society that will only benefit the rich, like post imperial old Russia. During this period, Mr. Trump, you have tried to intimidate everyone you need to do business with, both at home and abroad. In Canada you have used the potential unilateral repeal of the NAFTA agreement as a main intimidation tool. You recently went just too far in saying that you would sacrifice Canada in your feud with North Korea and made reference to controlling the Canadian oil in the Arctic. Good luck with that. This ignorance of history, the facts of life and lack of respect for your most friendly neighbours from the north, just across the border, deserve a strong response and this is it. The language will be strong and clear. Even the poorly educated and those with reading issues and short attention spans, like you, will understand.

Just follow the bullet

points, or watch the videos or listen to the many recordings included. There is no excuse for not learning about us. I apologize in advance to my American friends and their many compatriots, living mostly along the coasts, who are educated and civilized.

Apparently, there are approximately

between 25 and 40 million “poorly educated Americans who blindly support you bigly. These are the ones who helped put you in the White House by believing all your bullshit, your empty promizes and lies. This book is aimed at them, even though they will never be able to read it because they are too poorly educated. However, they will eventually be able to watch the videos, listen to the audio reports or eventually buy the audio version or sign up for the basic reading skills course at the end of Chapter 6.

The book is organized in a manner to be informative without being overbearing. Designed to inform, educate and entertain, this effort was planned as an ebook from the beginning. In lieu of footnotes, it contains a lot of links for keeners and “fact checkers” who want to go deeper into a subject, but the story will hold together without the links. Over 200 years of history packed into 80 powerful and provocative pages. To avoid total personal biases, the links I have chosen feature the best of Canadian Journalism such as CBC Television and Radio, and MacLean Magazine, as well as, highly respected American journalists, commentators and educators. If this is all you learn about Canada and its relationship to America, you’ll sound like an expert. For you Mr. Trump, there will be Trump bullet points at the mid-point of the book and at the end. You’ll also find Professor Panzone relating interesting anecdotes about topics relevant to the chapter you’re reading.

Chapter 1 LET’S STRAIGHTEN OUT THE HISTORY BOOK Canada (Brains) Defeats USA (Brawn) In War Of 1812

I don’t want to go back too far, so I’m just starting with the war of 1812, when America had been a country since 1776 and Canada was still a British colony, your country tried to conquer that colony and failed because of a coalition of British, French and Native troops. Although clearly seen as underdogs, the French held against the Americans on Lake George while the local natives, led by Chief Joseph Brant helped General Brock and his British troops defeat the Americans at Niagara Falls by outwitting them. Smarts defeated the “bombs bursting in air”. Although Americans like to claim victory, those British and French territories became a unified and proud Canada in 1867. That’s 150 years ago. We did it without gun-toting Cowboys and Indian wars, without a Civil War and without Slavery. We were always more civilized. Apparently, it was worth the effort. Today, over $1 billion worth of trade crosses our shared border every day and we have Universal Medicare for all our citizens. Johns Hopkins University professor Eliot Cohen, a senior advizer to former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, wrote in his 2011 book Conquered Into Liberty that, “ultimately, Canada and Canadians won the War of 1812.” An interesting review can be found here:

Canada won the war of 1812 On this day in 1814, during the War of 1812 between the United States and England, British troops entered Washington, D.C. and burned the White House in retaliation for the American attack on the city of York in Ontario, Canada, in June 1812. We gained respect and eventually became best friends.

1.1 BACKGROUNDER – Earlier History So, Mr. Trump, I don’t want you to think that we had it easy, but we learned from early on that what we were doing here was important, worth fighting for and worth developing. We have not been without our own internal struggles on our way to nationhood. The Lachine Massacre For example, in 1689, on a quiet August 5 morning, an army of 1500 Iroquois natives crept into Lachine, a settlement on the island Montreal and massacred many of its inhabitants, took prisoners and burned down many buildings.

The natives were

unhappy about the equity of the fur trade and the infringement on their culture and territory.

Skirmishes lasted a long time and

culminated in the Lachine Massacre, when, prompted by the Brits who had just declared war against the French in Europe, the natives attacked the main trading post in Montreal. They were motivated because many years earlier the French had attacked and pillaged their villages. Get the details below along with wonderful related stories which will enrich your knowledge of that era. Until the battles were settled on the Plains of Abraham in 1759 and civilization began to take hold, we too had the French, the Brits and the natives fighting each other for control of New France. The Brits won but left the French with their religion, their language and their laws. That was a friendly deal that enabled the French to flourish and create the wonderful Province of Quebec, which a lot of Americans love to visit. The country took shape as a blend of Brits and Frenchmen worked together to forge Canada, a country of educated tough men and women and develop it coast to coast as one of the world’s most cherished nations. Even Americans would love to move here, if they could. Chapter 2 CANADA SAVED THE WORLD FROM NAZIS - 1917 The Battle Of Vimy Ridge 100 Years Ago

2.1 WHAT IT MEANT TO CANADA By the time the WWI, First World War, came around, Canada was ready to demonstrate that it “had arrived as a nation and was ready to help other countries fight for their freedom. And so it was that we sent troops to the French front. Our first mission was to do what the French and the Brits could not do. Having already lost 100,000 men, they sent the Canadians to see what they could do. It was historic and the recount of the battle is detailed below. 100 years ago, on April 9, 1917, thousands of young Canadians stormed Vimy Ridge in France, capturing it from the Germans. It was a defining moment in Canada's history. It was the first battle in which the Canadian Corps fought as a unit with an assignment that was all its own to carry out. It was the first fully Canadian victory in any war to that date. It proved to our General Currie that the Canadian Army would be very effective for the rest of the war and there are those who say it was the worst fear of German soldiers for the last 100 days of the war. This battle is usually seen as the watershed between Canada, the colony, and Canada, the nation. It severely tested the mettle of Canada as a nation because it brought to the fore the festering divisions between French and English Canada. Vimy gave Canadian soldiers the

6

opportunity to demonstrate decisively what was known all along–they were tough resilient and resourceful soldiers–a message not lost later on Hitler who had encountered Canadians at Ypres and hesitated with Operation Overlord when he realized the Southern coast of England was defended by the Canadian First Army, and not lost on Eisenhower when he chose that same army to liberate The Netherlands.

THE BATTLE AS RECOUNTED BY LIAM CROWLEIGH, IN A POST ON 10 Dec. 2016. “Officially the country of Canada was created on July 1, 1867 when the British North America Act was signed, but the Battle of Vimy Ridge, in 1917, in many ways represents the moment when Canada unofficially became a country on its own. Vimy Ridge was an area of high ground in the north of France near Arras that, for months, had been a sticking spot for the allies. The British and the French forces had repeatedly tried to take the ridge and failed with the loss of more than 100 thousand troops killed, with more wounded and MIA. Up until this point, Canadian troops had always been under the command of British officers. Their tactic had been a short artillery barrage followed by the standard frontal assault of soldiers charging across the no-man's-land towards the enemy machine guns. This was made more difficult because of the steep rize to the top of the hill where the Germans were situated. At Vimy it had always failed. Now for the first time, the Canadians were going to be tasked with taking the ridge – on their own. Led by Canadian General Arthur Currie, the battle was planned meticulously. They carefully measured the direction of enemy artillery fire and triangulated these to calculate where the German field guns were situated. They used aerial reconnaissance to build models of the exact layout of machine gun posts. Instead of just being riflemen, soldiers were given specialized tasks such as grenade throwers and trained over and over again for weeks until they were expert at it. They were trained how to outflank the machine gun posts instead of going straight at them. The artillery practiced what was called a 'rolling barrage' where the shells landed in a straight line across the front and then moved towards and then across the enemy positions at a walking pace just ahead of the following troops. Then when it came time for the attack, instead of an artillery barrage of just a few minutes or hours, the barrage lasted for a week, with emphasis on where the unseen enemy batteries and machine guns had been plotted. They used shells with a new kind of fuse that exploded as soon as it contacted anything instead of after it had buried itself in the ground. Then on April 9, the 4 Canadian divisions all attacked together for the first time and under their own leadership. These divisions were comprized of soldiers from every part of the country. As trained, they kept going even when their officers were killed, with sergeants and then corporals taking over. If all officers were killed, troops were trained to take their own initiative

instead of waiting for further instructions. Platoons stayed in contact with each other and completed the specific goals they had to accomplish. They kept on through snow and sleet, and after 3 days they'd captured all the objectives assigned. They had achieved the greatest single Allied advance on the Western Front to that point in the war, and under Canadian leadership. Because of the weather and their fierce bravery in not turning back, the Canadians were dubbed “storm troopers”, a name that is now used to describe the toughest of the tough. It wasn't without cost though. There were 3,598 fatalities and over 7,000 wounded. There were perhaps 20,000 casualties on the German side. The British general Julian Byng was promoted out of the corps and replaced with the Canadian Arthur Currie, who was awarded the highest honour for his leadership, the Victoria Cross. The Battle became known after as “the birth of a nation” because for the first time Canadians had all fought together, and achieved what no others had.”

FACEBOOK COMMENTS Joan S. 3,598 died! 7000 were injured. I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around this. I think of the raw courage it took to see this happening all around - in lousy, cold weather and thick, slippery mud - and to still push on! And to think that there are, now, no surviving members of our armed forces who were there! No one who was there to remember. So, it is up to us to keep the memories alive. It is up to us to make our world one where we don't have to send our young to war. It is our calling to strive for Peace. Simon B. Chapter 3 CANADA PLAYS KEY ROLE IN WWII

Who remembers Dieppe? Always send the Canadians on the most dangerous missions. It was one of our rare disasters. Twenty short years after WWI, dubbed the Great War, Europe again stood on the brink of a mighty upheaval in the summer of 1939.

Clouds of war were on the horizon, and

Canada would again be called into the fight. By the time WWII, the Second World War, ended six years later, more than 1.1 million Canadians and Newfoundlanders - from a population of about 11 million - would serve in the military. The human toll would be immense: 45,000 Canadian soldiers would die and another 54,000 would be wounded, all in an effort to help others. Their sacrifices at Dieppe, on the beaches of Normandy, and in the Italian campaign would help Canada emerge from the war years with a new-found clout and respect on the world stage. 9

3.1 DAWN OF WORLD WAR II The fighting began with the German attack on Poland early on Sept. 1, 1939. Britain and France declared war on Germany shortly after and, while Canada was not drawn in automatically, there were few doubts the country would follow suit a week later. Canada's military was ill-equipped at the war's outbreak, with a small army and outdated weaponry, but defences were quickly bolstered, and thousands of volunteers signed up for the overseas campaign. The first Canadian troops departed for Europe at the end of 1939 . Canadian pilots fought side-by-side with the British air force in repelling the German Luftwaffe's attacks on the U.K. in the summer of 1940. The Royal Canadian Air Force engaged in direct combat with enemy planes for the first time in the war. Repelled in the Battle of Britain, the Germans turned to night bombing of London and other cities. During the Blitz, which lasted until May 1941, the British buckled but did not break. Canada also waged war at sea, doing battle with German U-boats that were attacking convoy ships. The German boats even breached Canadian Waters, sinking 23 ships in the Battle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. More than 3,000 Canadian sailors and merchant seaman died in fighting on the Atlantic Ocean during the war years. The navy, which had just six destroyers and a few smaller ships when the war began, was among the world's largest military fleets by 1945. The end of the war produced a number of wonderful dramatic stories. This is a great one. A story of love and death and war. This is the story of what happened in the lives of two people over two historic days, exactly 72 years ago in Amsterdam. Canadian soldier Wilf Gildersleeve had been a radio signaler, starting in Sicily in 1943. During the liberation of Holland in 1945, he was a platoon commander in the Seaforth Highlanders. In 1945, Margriet Blaisse was a young women living in Amsterdam, next to the famous Vondelpark. This is their story in the days surrounding the liberation of Amsterdam in May 1945.

3.2 “A DATE THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY” (FDR) So Mr. Trump, you think it might be fun to do war in the Pacific with North Korea. Think about it twice and listen to your Generals. And, to help you better visualize what it’s like, I invite you to view the Pearl Harbor Movie below. The surprize attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, which saw Japanese planes bomb the American naval fleet moored in Hawaii, drew the Allied forces into a Pacific theatre of war. You want to do that again? Haven’t you learned anything? You would just like to drop an atomic bomb, wouldn’t you? The war in the Pacific went on for 4 more years before Enola Gay visited Hiroshima to extract revenge. In the meantime, Canadian forces saw direct combat with the Japanese almost immediately in the Battle of Hong Kong, which began the day after Perl Harbor, on Dec. 8, 1941. The Canadians were all volunteers and far from battle-ready, having arrived just three weeks earlier. The colony of Hong Kong surrendered on Christmas Day, and the surviving Canadian, British and Indian soldiers became prisoners of war. The Japanese sent 1,685 captured Canadian soldiers to four prisoner of war camps. By the time Hong Kong was liberated in 1945, more than 550 of them had died. Watch: Full Director’s cut of the 2001 Pearl Harbor Movie with Ben Affleck. Time: 2hrs32min.

3.3 BLOODY DAY AT DIEPPE Behind enemy lines Full length movie 1hr. 45min. Gustave Bieler was recruited by the British secret service at the age of 38. He parachuted into occupied France in 1942 with the goal of blending into French society and wreaking havoc among the Germans. His daughter, Jacqueline Bieler, tells his story: Out of Night and Fog: The Story of Major Guy Bieler, Special Operations Executive. Fred Lagan also tells the story of Guy d'Artois, an SOE agent who also fought with the French resistance.

11

The raid on Dieppe in August 1942 was the Allies' first major combined operation of army, navy and air forces. It was seen as a test run for the eventual invasion of France — but became one of the darkest chapters in Canadian military history. Almost 5,000 soldiers and officers from the 2nd Canadian Division joined the fight. Problems began before the men even reached the shore when a German convoy learned of the attack. When the Allied forces hit the beach, they ran into a wall of machine-gun and mortar fire. Entire platoons were mowed down as they stepped out of their landing craft. An estimated 907 Canadians were killed, and 1,946 became prisoners of war. No major objectives were accomplished, but some later believed that valuable lessons were learned that would be later applied on the beaches of Normandy.

3.4 THE ITALIAN CAMPAIGN The invasion of Sicily in July 1943 was, at the time, the largest amphibious invasion in history. The Battle of Salerno video. The island fell quickly to the Allies, creating a base for an invasion of the Italian mainland. The government of Benito Mussolini fell just two weeks later, but the Germans swept into power, turning from Italian ally to occupier. After weeks of brutal fighting, sometimes hand-tohand combat, the Canadians pushed German forces back to the medieval town of Ortona, see map below. The Battle of Ortona. By the end of December 1943, the Germans were forced to retreat, a victory won at the cost of more than 1,300 Canadian casualties. At the height of the battle, 76,000 Canadian soldiers were fighting in Italy. They played a major role in the campaign's eventual success. You can get the details here. My dad was a musician (accordion) assigned to the Canadian Forage Caps, to entertain the troops after the victory in Ortona.

3.5 D-DAY TRIUMPH Operation Overlord, the long-planned Allied invasion also known as D-Day, brought the biggest armada in history to the shores of Normandy. Watch the award winning documentary here. Five heavily fortified beaches were attacked on June 6, 1944. Canadian responsibility centred on Juno beach. In the first six days of battle, about 3,000 Canadians were killed or wounded.

Yet Canadian infantry pressed on, moving inland to

capture enemy positions throughout June and July. The war's direction had been decisively turned in the Allies' favour.

3.6 LIBERATION OF HOLLAND After fighting key battles in Belgium and along the Rhine, the Allies began a final push to secure northwestern Europe and end the war. Canadian moved through The Netherlands in early April 1945. It quickly became clear however, that the dire hunger of Dutch citizens was a far more pressing need than driving out the Germans. Food drops for civilians were organized. From September 1944 to April 1945, the First Canadian Army fought German forces on the Scheldt estuary — opening the port of Antwerp for Allied use — and then cleared northern and western Netherlands of Germans, allowing food and other relief to reach millions of desperate people. The Germans refused to surrender without a fight, though, and the liberation of Holland wasn't complete until the German surrender in May. About 7,600 Canadian servicemen died while fighting in Holland. Because of Canada's role in liberation, a close affinity between the countries remains to this day. After the war, The Netherlands thanked Canada with a gift of 100,000 tulip bulbs and still sends Canada 20,000 bulbs annually. Click to check out related stories below.

3.7 VICTORY IN EUROPE

Remembering Canada’s Role in WWII via news stories. CBC Archives looks back at the celebrations marking the war's end in May 1945. 

'The time has come to be glad'. Legendary war reporter Matthew Halton reports on the German surrender. Audio.

Canada celebrates victory in Europe. This 25-minute radio clip takes listeners across the country to hear how people elsewhere are celebrating.

Revelry goes rancid in Halifax. Looking back at riots and looting in Halifax's downtown on VE-Day.

The news flash reached Canada at 9:36 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on May 7, 1945: "Germany has surrendered unconditionally." Celebrations in many places were already under way, after an Associated Press bulletin had announced the Allied victory earlier that morning. The following day, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill went on the air to declare "Victory in Europe Day," soon shortened to VE-Day. Official celebrations took place across Canada as jubilant crowds took to the streets in Toronto, Montreal and cities and towns all across the country. CBC Report In Halifax, the port city swelled by thousands of naval personnel, the revelry got out of hand. Mobs of sailors, fuelled by alcohol and tensions that had simmered during the war, smashed windows and looted stores in what become known at the VE-Day riots.

3.8 LEGACY OF WAR A new world emerged after the defeat of Japanese forces in the Pacific in August 1945. Canada would participate in the newly created United Nations and watch anxiously as Cold War tensions rose between East and West. Canadian forces had proved their courage and valour, to the world, on the battlefield and were afforded an expanded place in the new order. Memories of the soldiers' sacrifices have not dimmed with time, as evidenced when Canadian officials and other world leaders came back to the beaches of Normandy in June 2009 for the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landing. "Our veterans, ordinary Canadians who accomplished extraordinary things, represent the best of Canada," stated Veterans Affairs Minister Greg Thompson. He continued…

14

Said on the occasion. "The freedoms we enjoy today are because of them, and we owe it to them to remember." So, Mr. Trump, you can expect that Canadians will be able to defend themselves against you and, you can expect that help will come from everywhere in the world. We earned it.

15

Chapter 4 CANADA - A GREAT TEAM PLAYER IN WAR So, Mr. Trump, in case you didn’t know, championship teams are made up of strong team players. One-man teams never win championships. What does it mean to be a team player? It means that you’ll do all you can for the good of the team. Sometimes you take the lead and sometimes you follow suit. Team success is what matters. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t understand, because in you world, you must dominate every play, co-opt or receive the glory for its success, interpret its failure as fake success or just blame someone else. So, Mr. Trump, let me show you how Canada earned the admiration and respect of every country on the planet, except your version of America. Before I begin, let me say that you may have been right about NATO and the UN. They don’t do Canada nor the USA much good, except take our money. Trade is where it’s at nowadays. The world has changed a lot since WWII. European countries can easily defend themselves. The enemy has changed and our needs have changed.

I invite you to review Jack

Granatstein’s impressive Policy Paper on whether NATO is still useful for Canada. Some of his observations apply to the US also. (Jack L. Granatstein – CDFAI Distinguished Research Fellow March 2013) NATO: Is NATO still necessary for Canada?

4.1 KOREAN WAR After WWII, which ended in 1945, the US couldn’t wait to start another war. In case you forgot, Mr. Trump, the USA and its allies missed a great opportunity to expand on the friendship with Russia, achieved when Stalin collaborated with the allies to defeat Hitler and the German Nazi forces.

But, Stalin and Russia were committed to the Communist

philosophy and you let them go their own way, agreeing to disagree, creating a sort of “Cold War” between Russia and the US. As it turned out, Stalin, in an effort to increase his scope of influence beyond the counties already grouped under the Soviet Union umbrella, decided to back North Korea in its efforts to annex South Korea against its will. Even though South Korea was not a member of the United Nations (UN), it asked for help. Although the UN was just starting out at the time, it seized this opportunity to demonstrate its usefulness. Led by the famous General McArthur of the US, 21 other countries sent help. This was the first conflict of the Cold War.

16

As a team player, Canada sent 26,000 troops, 8 destroyers and a C-130 to provide transport, supply and logistics. The war was a tie. But, the UN forces made a name for themselves because until they took over, the South Korean side was losing. There was no winner, just a truce with

a large

demilitarized zone between the 2 countries. But the effort showed that The US and its allies were willing to send troops to stop the spread of Communism, and that Russia was equally committed to expand communism. Canada was such a team player that it stayed another 3 years as observers, under the UN Command.

4.2 THE KOREAN WAR NEVER ENDED On July 27, 1953, American Lieutenant General William Harrison, Jr . and North Korean General Nam Il signed the Korean Armistice Agreement, ending “all acts of armed force” in Korea, until both sides were able to find a “final peaceful settlement.” The agreement was notably not a peace treaty, but rather, a ceasefire. 64 years later, it seems we are no closer to a peaceful ending of the conflict. In fact, it’s ironical that you, Mr. Trump, come along, in 2017, with a trigger happy finger on one hand and a desire to “make nice” with Russia, the main backer of North Korea. It’s ironical that talk of a nuclear war with North Korea is in the air. You may not know this, Mr. Trump, but back in 1950, only 5 years after dropping an A Bomb on Hiroshima, the US was so enamored with the potential of this new weapon that it was ready to use one against China and Russia if they sent troops or bombers into Korea. As it is today, China and Russia are both collaborating with you to make peace with Kin Yong Un to reduce the North Korean threat. But unlike 1950, you made enemies of those who kept the US from dropping more A Bombs. I hope you smarten up. Canada remembers the Korean War The publication Defense One reported Sunday, Oct. 23, 2017, that the Air Force could soon put its fleet of B-52 bombers on “a readyto-fly posture” for the first time since 1991. The status means the planes would be loaded with nuclear bombs and parked on special runways, ready to take off on a moment’s notice.

Scary B-52s getting ready for nuclear war?

A spokesperson for Air Force Global Strike Command told VICE News on Monday the report is inaccurate. “We are not planning or preparing to put B-52s on alert,” the spokesperson said. Thank God.

17

4.3 NORTH KOREA In spite of all the bluffing from both sides, we don’t know very much about North Korea. Here are a few interesting rare photographs that will give you an idea of life there. Rare North Korea Photographs A Rare Look Inside North Korea.

NORTH KOREA PROVOKES WWIII: Fictional outcome if the status quo deteriorates. This is relevant to Canada because you are on record as stating that you are prepared to sacrifice Canada in such an escalation of hostilities. Does this mean that you expect North Korea to aim missiles on the west coast of Canada, just to show that they can hit the USA, if they wanted to? With friends like you, who needs enemies?

4.4 UNITED NATIONS PEACEKEEPING After demonstrating our courage and fierceness in key situations during the first two great wars, a strong support role in the Korean War and playing an important role during the Suez Canal crisis, Canada took a leadership role in working for peace. Canada’s Prime Minister and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Lester B. Pearson, is considered the Father of the UN Peacekeeping Missions; and Canada, for years, one of its prominent peacekeeping world powers. Most of our missions are listed in the following Wikipedia link. List of Canadian peacekeeping missions. Who can explain why Canada is not a member of the UN Security Council? Everything you need to know about the United Nations. Although peacekeeping is a very noble job, for the last 22 years, Canada’s participation in United Nations peacekeeping efforts has declined a lot, from 10% to 5% of deployed UN peacekeepers. This is mostly because we started to direct our participation to UN-sanctioned military operations through NATO, instead of through the UN.

18

Why is this happening, you say? Remember, Canada is a team player, part of NATO and the UN. And, you, the US, kept starting wars all over the Middle East. In 2002, your, then, president, George W. Bush, begged a large group of friendly countries to join in the formation of the Coalition of the Willing to fight what he called the Axis of Evil. More than 30 “responsible” countries were, eventually, conned into joining. Canada did not! But, ever the team player as it did before the Vietnam War, Canada played a key role behind the scenes.

Bush’s initial Coalition of the Willing included: Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom.

vs

Bush's "Axis Of Evil" comprised Iran, Iraq, and North Korea (red). "Beyond the Axis of Evil" comprised Cuba, Libya, and Syria (yellow). The United States is blue.

Although the UN peacekeepers still have some missions, no one is focused on peace anymore. There is no money in it. War is where it’s at and the US is the best at it. Mr. Trump, I need to mention your name periodically to remind you and my readers that I’m writing this HUGE letter to you. So, talking about wars, I know you know this because you are a big fan of Hitler. If there is anything you have read it’s his stuff. After WWI, he maintained that for the German economy to maintain its pace, it would need a war every 20 years. War is good for the economy. He was true to his word as he followed it up with WWII. Track the US. Starting in 1952-1954 with the Korean War, your wealthy class was so addicted to the profits from war that you didn’t even wait 20 years. Vietnam (1964-1974), Desert Storm (1992), Gulf War (2003), Afghan War (2006), and soon the cycle will start over again with a war against North Korea (2017). If that’s not enough, there are other places in line: Ukraine, Crimea. Libya, Philippines awaiting their turn. Russia, China, Saudi Arabia and the US are the instigators, proxy war funders. The others, like Canada, we all follow suit and join your misguided causes because we’re team players. We never stop to connect the dots that all connect to crude oil deposits. Much more on this later.

4.5 NORAD So, Mr. Trump, you may not think about these things but when you show signs of destroying everything around you and the world order at large, I’d like to remind you that there was a world before you and that huge efforts by the international world community went into shaping it into a thing of beauty. So, don’t think that we’ll let you get away with your petulant childish behaviour. Believe me. For example, consider NORAD. Do you even know what it is and what an important role it plays? Let me recap briefly for you, your followers and my readers. I’m spending a bit more time on this subject because it is in effect now. So, this is important “reading”. NORAD stands for North American Aerospace Defence Command. In 1958, after the Russians beat the US in the race to outer space, it became obvious that protecting ourselves just with walls wasn’t going to be enough. And, since Alaska and Canada are practically walking distance to Russia, the smart minds of the day agreed to work on this protection together. OFFICIALLY, The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is a bi-national military organization formally established in 1958 by Canada and the United States to monitor and defend North American airspace.

NORAD warns of attacks against North

America by aircraft, missiles or ‘space vehicles’ (e.g. satellites and space debris) by monitoring and tracking man-made objects in the aerospace domain. NORAD also provides surveillance and operational control of Canadian and U.S.

airspace.

When the Agreement was last

renewed in 2006, NORAD’s mission was expanded to include a, maritime warning mission. This will become more and more relevant with the development of Arctic oil fields and disputes over its sovereignty. Russia has been making big rumblings in recent years about owning or having control of the arctic.

So, North American protection is ever more

important. The NORAD agreement is one of the most important US/Canada agreements and as such, it is reviewed and updated regularly, so that we are ready for any surprize, especially from Russia and possibly North Korea by accident. Just in case you are planning to put a Russian in charge, you should know that it won’t be easy. The Commander of NORAD is appointed by, and is responsible to, both the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States. Although the Commander of NORAD may be either Canadian or American, traditionally, the Commander of NORAD is American, and the Deputy Commander, Canadian. NORAD Headquarters is located at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

4.6 CANADA-US DEFENCE RELATIONSHIP – Beyond Being A Good Team Player You may not know this, Mr. Trump, but Canada and the U.S. enjoy one of the most extensive and long-standing defence relationships in the world. The tradition of bilateral cooperation in the defence of North America dates back to the 1940 Ogdensburg Agreement and is a natural complement to the extensive geographic, political, economic, cultural and social ties that link our two countries. As you can see, Mr. Trump, there has been huge respect between our two countries, respect that has enabled us to do great things TOGETHER. Continued maintenance of such respect is essential to each other’s future success. There has to be a limit to the degree of affection you hold for Russia because they have nefarious plans. That’s why NORAD remains so relevant today. NORAD is a big deal because through this agreement, Canada gives up a bit of sovereignty by allowing the US to carry the main load of defending our borders. In return, Canada derives significant benefits from this relationship. Canada-U.S. defence cooperation has provided us with:    

enhanced protection from direct military attack insight into U.S. thinking on security matters, and influence over U.S. decisions where Canadian interests are involved valuable training and operational experience that helps not only in the defence of North America, but also in UN, NATO, and other multinational operations abroad preferential access to U.S. test facilities, which, along with research and development opportunities, have helped develop many technologies used by the Canadian Armed Forces, and defence development, production, and sharing agreements that stimulate Canada's research and development community and help support some 50,000 Canadian aerospace and defence jobs nation-wide.

Bottom line: Your friend Putin won’t be able to run rough shod over our arctic oil fields without a fight, unless you betray us. Just in case, we’re bulking up our military resources.

21

4.7 CANADA-U.S. COOPERATION: Responding to the New Threat to the Environment, Including You Let me remind you, Mr. Trump, that all these agreements and being a team player are good things, but, the Government of Canada has the fundamental responsibility to protect Canada and Canadians in an increasingly complex and uncertain environment. The past decade has seen significant and cumulative changes to the international security landscape, such as the emergence of global terrorism and the more recent aggressive military action by Russia in Eastern Europe. Russia is after control of the crude oil business and market access for it. Your favourable attitude toward Russia and your appointment of the EXXON CEO as your foreign affairs secretary is very troubling, especially when we analyze his secretive travel log and management style and his relationship with Russia, where he was decorated with the highest honor for a foreign civilian. You are adding to the increasingly complex nature of the threat to the environment, so, exploring ways to strengthen defence and security arrangements with the U.S., including an enhanced role for NORAD, is in Canada's interest. Again, in case you are not aware, Mr. Trump, NORAD is only an early warning system. Neither side can “scramble” aircrafts or missiles to defend against an attack. This is why after the events of September 11, 2001, Canada and the U.S. pursued a range of measures to enhance continental security cooperation, both at home and abroad. As part of its response, the U.S. established U.S. Northern Command (U.S. NORTHCOM), mandated to protect U.S. sovereignty, territory, the domestic population and critical defence infrastructure against external threats and aggression. They can send missiles to intercept in-coming attacks. In Canada, the Canadian Joint Operations Command – CJOC is responsible for Canada and its air and maritime approaches as a single operational theatre. This initiative places a greater emphasis on the defence of Canada and North America. As you can see this is serious business and both sides have their eyes on the ball.

4.8 CANADIAN PARTICIPATION IN NORAD We Pay Our Fair Share Canada contributes financial resources, physical assets and personnel to NORAD. Specifically, Canada's NORAD contribution includes Canadian Armed Forces personnel serving in NORADrelated activities in both the U.S. and Canada; fighter aircraft on alert status during normal operations; the operation and maintenance of the Canadian portion of the North Warning System – a chain of radar stations along the northern edge of North America; and, forward operating locations to support fighter operations in the North. NORAD provides the Government of Canada with the capability to exercise effective surveillance and operational control over Canadian airspace, a basic requirement for asserting national sovereignty. Given the size of Canada's airspace and our armed forces, bi-national aerospace warning and airspace defence cooperation through NORAD remains a cost22

effective means of meeting this critical objective. The Canadian and U.S. governments retain the final say on issues related to their own defence and can respond in a fashion that best serves their respective national interests. NORAD has served the citizens of Canada and the U.S. as the first line of defence against an air attack on their homelands since 1958. It has also acted as a clear deterrent to any aggressor through its air and maritime warning capabilities. Through outstanding, cooperation and cohesiveness between the two countries, NORAD has proven itself effective in its roles of “deterring, detecting and defending.” By continually adapting to the changing security environment, NORAD will continue to play an important role in the defence of North America. The text of the NORAD Accord can be found here.

4.9 CANADA, THE ARCTIC and NORAD: status quo or new ball game? The Arctic is one of those “out of sight, out of mind” thing. Sure NORAD is keeping an eye on it all the time, but the reasons for doing so have changed. Of course, a military threat from a foreign country is always possible, but the effects of global warming have introduced additional reasons to be vigilant. The warmer temperatures have attracted more marine traffic. For example, it’s a shorter route for oil tankers from Northern Europe to the Far East. The more hospitable climate is making natural resource exploration more attractive and cost effective, and, of course, a Canadian Arctic holiday is going to be the next big tourism attraction. With that in mind, NORAD needs to adjust its posture vis-a-vis the protection of North America. The link above is a great gateway to exploring this situation. The Gales Group has done a great job in clearly and concisely presenting their review in the International Journal. This paper reviews the challenges facing the Arctic, the perceived new urgency for attention, the command and control structures of NORAD, and NORAD's specific preoccupations in order to answer the question: does the Arctic represent status quo for NORAD or does NORAD need to fundamentally change, its approach to the North? This paper ultimately argues for the former.

4.10 VIETNAM So, Mr. Trump, you always like to say that the US doesn’t win anymore. Well, I’d like you to consider this article from Prager University on The Truth About The Vietnam War. As you see, the military won the war but the politicians lost it by NOT keeping their end of the bargain. You are not the first to renege on your deals. It’s the American way. To give you a timeline, the Vietnam situation was simply an evolution of WWII when Japan occupied the French colony of Indochina (today’s Vietnam, Laos, & Cambodia). During that time, in 1941, the US supported the Viet Minh communist movement (yes, you read that right) led by Ho Chi Minh to resist the Japanese. To make a long story short, after WWII, Ho Chi Minh took full control of Indochina. With the help of allies, including the US, the French tried to regain control of Indochina, at first, through negotiations, and later through battles. The end came in 1954, when the greatly overmatched French lost the last city, Dien Bien Phu. The Geneva Accord which followed, partitioned the country into North and South Vietnam. Communist in the North and non-communist in the south. This was supposed to be a temporary deal. The US had been friends with both sides. Unification looked doable. The plan was to unify North and South a couple of years later and hold elections to see who would govern the whole Vietnam. Of course, with opposing ideologies involved, it was never going to work. Ho Chi Minh, in the North, decided to go big and formally aligned himself with Communist China. While in the South, Eisenhower, who was President of the US at the time, had promised the South Vietnamese that the US would provide military assistance, if necessary, in their fight for survival and keep Communism from spreading further. For the next 10 years, Prime Minister Diem ruled South Vietnam but evolved into a nasty dictator. As we all know, opposition emerged and a National Liberation Front, supported by the Communists in the north, was created and guerrilla warfare was born. Although the US provided some military advisors to the South, the Diem Government had become so corrupt and opposition so severe that a CIA plot was devised to overthrow the government. Diem was killed only 3 weeks before the Kennedy assassination, in 1963. It was President Johnson who made the Vietnam war a reality. After visiting South Vietnam in 1964, he realized he needed an excuse to send troops and create a massive attack to obliterate the Communists of the North. The CIA created a fake Communist attack on the Americans in the Gulf of Tonkin and the rest is history. It did not work and 10 years later, after losing over 500,000 men and women, the US begged for mercy. 4.11 CANADA’S ROLE - Canada And The Vietnam War The Vietnam

War: Canada's Role,

Part

One.

Vietnam may

but Canada was heavily involved - for and against.

have

been

America's

Canada harboured roughly 30,000

American draft dodgers. But at the same time, about 30,000 Canadians volunteered to fight in Southeast Asia. That’s the official position. But you will get a different picture when you read the Wikipedia article above. Here is my take on it. You see, Mr. Trump, Canada was always a team player, always helping the US to be great. While pretending to be neutral in overseeing peace accords or negotiating agreements, we were always on your side. For example, Draft Dodgers are what we remember the most, as we took in tens of thousands of them, thus saving you the embarrassment of their protests or of having to deal with them, when you had big fish to fry in Vietnam. You, yourself, like many others with rich daddies, chose fake deferments to avoid the draft. Apparently, you had to take 5 of them. Uncle Sam really wanted you. It paid off, look where you are today. Anyways, half of them returned to the US after the war, when a special amnesty was declared for them. (A similar special amnesty for some undocumented immigrants would be very nice. Canada did not send troops until after the war. This was to help make sure the terms of the Paris Peace Accord were kept. We had done the same thing after the Geneva Accord in 1954, after Indochina fell to the Communists. But what caught my attention, in the article, is how smart we were in Canada during all this time. Not only did we provide secret messages to North Vietnam to discuss an honorable way out for you, we also sent humanitarian aid to South Vietnam under US direction, so that you’d look good. Is that a team player or what? The highlight for me was to see how our companies also knew how to profit from war. Did you know that while war was going on in South East Asia, Canadian companies exported military supplies and raw materials useful in the manufacture of ammunition, napalm and Agent Orange, to the United States. Trade between Canada and the US was blowing great guns, so to speak. We did not need NAFTA, back then. Look at this. The article says: "500 firms sold $2.5 billion of war materials (ammunition, napalm, aircraft engines and explosives) to the Pentagon. Another $10 billion in food, beverages, berets and boots for the troops was exported to the U.S., as well as nickel, copper, lead, oil, brass for shell casings, wiring, plate armour and military transport. In Canada unemployment fell to a record low level of 3.9%" By 1967, the Canadian government finally explained that all the unofficial trade that was going on was necessary and logical given the “high integration of our two economies”.

25

As the war escalated, relations between Canada and the United States deteriorated. On April 2, 1965, Pearson gave a speech at Temple University in the United States which, in the context of firm support for U.S. policy, called for a pause in the bombing of North Vietnam. In a perhaps apocryphal story, when a furious President Lyndon B. Johnson met with Pearson the next day, he grabbed the much smaller Canadian by his lapels and talked angrily with him for an hour. After this incident, the two men somehow found ways to resolve their differences over the war. -In fact, they both had further contacts, including twice in Canada.

4.12 DESERT STORM IN 1992 To defend Saudi Arabia from Saddam, who was also after the crude-oil, only whets your own appetite for crude oil. In those days fossil fuels were still the most important. Renewable energy was just talk. During this quick blitz you discovered how easy it would be to capture all the oil in Iraq. But, as you know, that turned out to be way tougher than you expected. Although the USA was supposed to get crude oil in exchange for helping in the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, in the end, the USA came away with no financial compensation and even though you brought much of it home for future civilian use, the USA left a lot of its military rolling stock behind for the Iraqis to use in rebuilding their military. Surprize, surprize, they couldn’t keep it together. They still think in terms of tribes over there. The tribes in the coalition split up and took off with as much gear as they could. Some went on to form ISIS, a well-armed and well-managed group. And, because they still had all that crude oil, they funded themselves very well by selling it. Emboldened by this success, ISIS went on to conquer tons of territory, trying to recreate the empire of old, a giant Caliphate.

What was Canada’s Role in Desert Storm? Here we go again, helping out.

4.13 CANADA’S HELP DURING THE 9/11 ATTACK Mr. Trump, just so you know, it’s with sadness that I’m writing this segment today, Sept. 11, 2017. Although we all know how you saw, with your own eyes, people jumping off the crumbling twin towers of the World Trade Centre from your “balcony”, 4 miles away and Muslims celebrating as far as New Jersey, I can assure you that I actually saw the second plane hit, watching on my large screen TV in my living room 3,000 miles away, on the west coast. I bet you I saw more than you did.

I have

fond memories of those 2 impressive towers. the

day,

the

Back in

company

I

worked for used to take its corporate clients on a helicopter tour of Manhattan, passing between the World Trade Centre Towers, before landing at the UN Helicopter pad, where our corporate limos where waiting to take us for a night on the town. I participated on such tours. It was so impressive. Closing sales was a lot easier, the next day. However, Mr. Trump, I want to showcase this event in the context of being a team player. While everyone was in shock that someone had mounted such a clever attack on America, Canada moved instantaneously into action to help you. Hundreds of planes were being diverted to Canadian airports. A big city like Vancouver, BC and a small town like Gander, NL handled 8,000 and 7,000 thousand passengers respectively. Even you can take 60-seconds to look at this video, “A Friend In Need”, that shows an overview of the gratitude of Americans for what we, Canadians, did in your hour of need, FOR FREE - because we’re good neighbours, team players – something you wouldn’t understand. If your memory needs more refreshing, you can also listen to NBC’s Tom Brokaw recap how the little town of Gander, Newfoundland, helped the 7,000 Americans who landed there unexpectedly. 9/11-Tom Brokaw - Gander Newfoundland, Canada . 4.14 THE AFTERMATH: Who Was To Blame? Everyone was quick at pointing fingers because the “intelligence” community knew who the perpetrators were. The 19 terrorists, led by Osama Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda organization, were all Arabs. Check the list here. You, Americans, knew this was about to happen. You knew that all key Arabs had flown home the day before. These are the same bad guys who attacked the same buildings years earlier (1993). Almost 3,000 innocent people from 93 countries died that day. Canada lost 24 innocent people. While, today, as I watch the live commemorations of the event on all TV channels and see that the families of the lost ones have not forgotten them, I can’t help but be angry with you. You see, everyone has forgotten that the Saudis committed this act of aggression. What is maddening is that your first foreign trip was to Saudi Arabia, where they stoked your ego by entertaining you like royalty and by buying billions of dollars’ worth of American military equipment. These folks are our enemies. They still govern with a tribal system and the retrograde Sharia Law, where women are just chattels. In this day and age, they forbid them education, they can’t leave the palace without being accompanied by a male relative and get stoned if they fall in love with someone of their own choice. Saudi women are denied basic human rights. What you did with the Saudis on your recent trip is treason. Ponder that in one of your “Make America Great Again” proud moments. Did you know that Tel Aviv is just 900 miles up Route 65 from Riyadh. A map of the Middle East is attached, for your reference.

Chapter 5 NAFTA: NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT This is a hot topic these days. Much has been written by experts and more will follow as we begin to renegotiate the deal.

It’s an old one and things have changed.

So, it’s very

appropriate to do an in-depth review. For the purpose of this book, this is my simplistic perspective. Think about this. The American dollar is worth 30% more than the Canadian dollar. You “wanna” talk about an even playing field? Devalue your dollar, Mr. Trump. You are currently getting a 30% discount on everything you buy from Canada. And, you are complaining? Give me a break. We have to pay 30% more for everything we buy from the US or from any foreign country that bases its exports on the US dollar. So, when I import $10,000 of product from the US or China, I have to pay $13,000. Is that fair? When I go across the border to buy, cheese, milk or gas, I have to pay a 30% premium on those items. Not worth it. And, you want to add tariffs. You are so ignorant.

Well, I’m just talking like a

mom & pop operator. On a broad national scope,

it

makes sense

to

keep

our

Canadian dollar low because it makes our exports more attractive. Big exports mean lots of work for Canadians so we can afford all the expensive food imports from the USA, Mexico, Europe and the Far East. Not for long as we are negotiating trade agreements with everyone. In case you didn’t know, the Canadian surplus is due mostly to the energy sector because the US is not self- sufficient and imports tons of energy from Canada. You can’t exist without our energy. That’s why American companies like Kinder-Morgan have been buying our energy resource companies and that’s why you were eager to sign the pipeline deals that were already on your desk when you arrived for work on January 20, 2017. We’re such good neighbours, and you want to abuse us more. I don’t think so. For those who are interested, click here for details on the NAFTA Agreement.

29

For those who just want to know the real posture of the Americans vis-a-vis NAFTA, read what your Commerce Secretary and NAFTA negotiator had to say recently. He is way more realistic than you are, Mr. Trump. As for Canada, we welcome the NAFTA review so that we can make the logical adjustments necessary with changing times. As you know, we have done our homework and are ready for your team. Don’t expect pushovers.

5.1 CETA: Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with Europe You see Mr. Trump, Canada did not wait for you to come and save the world. The world is moving forward while you are taking the US backward. Good luck with that. We realized long ago that Canada was at the mercy of the US by virtue of being our largest trading partner. We knew that if a person like you came along, we’d be sunk. So we initiated trade deals with all the large trading blocks that have been forming around the globe.

The Europeans

understood this a long time ago when they formed the Common Market with 6 countries, in the 50s. By 1992, when forward thinking Bill Clinton came along and the Berlin wall had fallen, the Common Market included all the European countries. It was like the United States of Europe. They called it the European Union - a huge group so economically powerful that they developed their own currency – the EURO. Trade was no longer based on the American dollar. Today the EURO is more valuable than the US dollar. So you see, that’s a team to be with. The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free-trade agreement between Canada and the European Union. If enacted, the agreement will eliminate 98% of the tariffs between Canada and the EU. ... Justin Trudeau, Liberal Prime Minister of Canada, traveled to Brussels on October 30, 2016 to sign on behalf of Canada.

What’s in a name? How cheese became a wedge issue in the free-trade era. Discover the fascinating answer in this Globe & Mail article.

30

5.2 EUROPEAN UNION Just so you know, Mr. Trump, the CETA deal didn’t just pop up one day, out of the air. No, we’ve been working at it for years. Again, if you read this far, you know that we earned the respect of the world community by helping out mightily for the past 100 years in all the wars since WWI. As you saw, we created jobs and made money being a good neighbour to the world. Well, by 1976, the European Common Market, established in 1958 with 6 countries, had grown into the European Economic Community (EEC) and they made their first trade deal with an industrialized country outside Europe. Yes, you guessed it. CANADA. By 1992, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the EEC had finally achieved its 100 year old dream: the United States of Europe. They called it the European Union with the Euro as its own currency.

The Euro is now more powerful than the US

dollar. Over the years since, many agreements have been developed and by 2007, the Government of Canada, led by, then, Conservative leader Stephen Harper, began to put pressure on the EU and its member countries to negotiate a Canada-EU Free Trade Agreement which resulted in CETA, discussed earlier in 4.16.

5.3 WE’RE NOT DONE YET, MR.TRUMP! How about Canada joining the EU, becoming a full-fledged member? We share common culture, politics and language. Remember, Europeans were our first immigrants. We earned their respect and friendship. Apparently, we meet all the qualifications and then we would NOT need to rely only on the US for trade and security. You see the EU is already Canada’s second largest trading partner after the US. It’s a win-win. Doesn’t all this Canadian winning make you sick? And, you think you can win by making America a recluse to the world? Good luck with that. Read all about Canada and its European Union relations. LESSON FOR YOU MR. TRUMP: Just because the CETA deal was developed by a previous government that was of a different political persuasion, it didn’t mean that the new government should just junk it, like you are doing in the US. A good deal is a good deal and any good deal can be improved without junking it. There will always be things to iron out. We do it in a civilized friendly manner. By the way, how are you enjoying the big repeal behind closed doors?

31

5.4 TPP - Trans Pacific Partnership Are you still reading, Mr. Trump? This topic might have caught your attention. It’s one of the first silly things you did after you got sworn-in. Yes, you cancelled the US participation in this deal, even though the US had already agreed to it. You never read it. You have no idea what the benefits were for the US. Ah, but it was negotiated by the previous government, Obama’s government. Therefore it must be junked. Or, was it because you had already negotiated a secret deal with the Chinese government? Read on Mr. Trump!

Just so you know, here’s what you threw away. The TPP was a free trade agreement among 12 major Pacific based counties. Canada, USA, Mexico, Chile, Peru on our side and Japan, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia on the other side. These 12 countries represent 40% of the world GDP. It would be another great group with which to partner. What you missed is that the US was calling the shots. It wasn’t a great deal for everyone else. Who was missing in the deal? China and India. Even though these 2 countries would be able to enter later, the US would still be part of the deal, making it difficult for China to dominate the group.

32

5.5 TRAITOR IN CHIEF (TIC) But you, TRAITOR that you are, knew all this because you and Ivanka had been trying, unsuccessfully, for 10 years, to get Chinese approval for trademarks and patents for all sorts of things.

Ivanka, who deals extensively there, had

negotiated this strategy earlier. China was just waiting for you to come along and spoil it so that they can now enter the deal, without any US involvement and call all the shots. What did you get in return? You immediately received approval for 38 Chinese trademarks and Ivanka received 3 patents. No wonder you killed the TPP on your first day and met with the Premier XI of China the following week. Soon after, you met with Prime Minister Abe of Japan, the most important player in the TPP deal. So, now, you are free to make a side deal with Japan. To hell with the other countries involved in the TPP. I didn’t make this up. Check it out in the 3 articles below. 

5.6 CUFTA – Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement You see, Mr. Trump, while you’re throwing tantrums at your elected officials and making enemies of those who want to help you, we, Canadians, have been hard at work making our own deals. Since you want to be an isolationist, none include the USA. This new CUFTA deal with Ukraine is beautiful. As our negotiators put it: “CUFTA will support the economic reform and development efforts of the Government of Ukraine, strengthen the Canada-Ukraine partnership for peace and prosperity, and help pave the way for long-term security, stability, and broad-based economic development in Ukraine.” It went into effect just last August, while you were still denying your relations ships in that region. You can read the details below. CUFTA – Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement

The Art of the Deal

I am personally happy about it because I have fond memories of going to school and working with Canadians of Ukrainian origin. (1.2 million in Canada) I was lucky enough to play with a band that accompanied a Ukrainian folklore dance ensemble. We did concerts and weddings. Great days!

10 KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE FACTS: This is a great video presentation by Watch Mojo courtesy of PBS KEYSTONE PIPELINE EXPLAINED VIDEO, expertly done by Tom Foreman. Tom is so good at this. PROS & CONS: Presented just for you in 9 bullet points, Mr. Trump. You can view the details in the complete article below.

 What Are the PROS of the Keystone Pipeline? 1. The Keystone Pipeline can be a major job creation project. 2. The Keystone Pipeline can be a major economic contributor. 3. It would re-establish the Alberta oil sands sector for Canada. 4. It creates a reliable product for Gulf Coast refiners to process. 5. It makes the Canadian economy more efficient. 6. The amount of emissions added to the atmosphere from Keystone XL are negligible. 7. Pipeline transportation is safer than other methods. 8. It isn’t a full pipeline project. 9. It promotes US oil development in addition to supporting Canadian development.

35

 What Are the CONS of the Keystone Pipeline? 1. It would transport one of the most damaging forms of fossil fuels available to us. 2. The issues from DAPL are often associated with Keystone XL. 3. The interests which have been promoting Keystone have been cutting industry jobs. 4. Most support jobs for Keystone XL pay minimum wage. 5. It will still add more emissions to the atmosphere. 6. Tar sands oil has the potential to be highly corrosive. 7. More jobs could be created with sustainable investments. 8. It locks the United States into a contract that extracts oil from inefficient sources. After all the covfefe about this subject, (years of discussions), it makes no big difference to Canada. You’ll get the oil anyway, by train or by truck. We’ve been doing it this way already. But, you’ll look good to your Russian friends. The pipeline will be built with Russian steel. Oops! So much for buying American, eh? Did you notice how quickly you moved on the TPP, the China Trademark deal, the Japanese trade deal and the Keystone EX. You make it look like you were trying to establish a record. But, you were just fulfilling the promises you had made to your friends who put you in the White House. 5.8 PARIS CLIMATE ACCORD Believe it or not, Mr. Trump, I may be partly with you on this one, only because we should not be giving away gazillions to developing countries and their dictators to “help” them to “go green”. They’ll just pocket the money and buy themselves more toys, more trips to the UN and live large. But, I don’t agree with you when you say that climate change is a Chinese hoax, or that the science is fake, etc.

Well, Mr. Trump, you’re all wet on this one. I think you know climate change is real because you said repeatedly during the campaign that you were very smart, one of the smartest ever. All you have to do is believe your own eyes, never mind advisers with personal agendas. For example, you drive a lot, right? Where do you think the car, bus or truck exhaust goes? Up in the air! You fly a lot, right? Do you ever look out the window? Have you ever seen the billows of dirty smoke climbing into the atmosphere to join the clouds? Have you ever wondered what is in that smoke and what happens to it? Do think it just vanishes into thin air? No, Donald, that smoke contains toxic carbons and other burned chemicals. It breaks down and its molecules join the molecules of oxygen and nitrogen in the clean air to create toxic air, which we breathe. In areas where there is a lot of manufacturing, the air contains so much of the crap from that smoke that it becomes too heavy to travel naturally and just sits there. There are places like China where this air is so thick that it’s like a thick fog. You can’t see where you are going and you can’t breathe without covering you mouth and nose. It’s like that all over the country. Besides the breathing part, the smoke is hot and it warms the air as it goes up and fills the clouds. As the air and the clouds move, they warm up the air wherever they go and drop warmer water wherever they rain. The air around our planet is carefully balanced depending on the distance from the sun. So, it’s warmer near the middle because it gets more sun most of the time. And, cooler near the top and bottom because those parts don’t see the sun as much. 37

Here’s the part you may not realize, Mr. Trump. A small increase of just 1 degree in global temperature will cause sea levels to rise 6 meters. Just imagine. If you do nothing to slow this down, Mar a Lago will be submerged. It won’t happen in your lifetime, so who gives a crap, eh? Global Temperature Increase of 1 Degree Caused Sea Level Rize of 6 Meters Let me give you an example that is closer to home. Los Angeles: when I first went there in 1988, was smog city. Today, the air is much cleaner. They did it by embracing climate change and did what they could to reduce emissions. California is the world leader in car pollution control. Check out the article below and think twice about what you are about to do to California.

Don’t be

vengeful. Help them continue to be the best in the world. You could be a hero there. Prove how smart you really are. You don’t need the Paris accord to be the best at climate issues. Lead by example. Invest in your own country. Export the technology all over the world. It will make jobs and money for everyone. The Coming Clean-Air War Between Trump and California The air you breathe is made up of lots of other things besides oxygen! Oxygen only makes up about 21% of air. About 78% of the air you breathe is made up of another gas called nitrogen. There are also tiny amounts of other gases like argon, carbon dioxide and methane. Trudeau tells Trump Canada is disappointed by withdrawal from Paris Climate Accord

5.9 THE 2nd TRUDEAU ERA Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister 2015 - … Well Mr. Trump, if you have read this far, you should have a better appreciation for Canada and Canadians. Although we are not perfect, we are very special and one of the most modern countries in the world. That’s why so many want to come here. So we choose immigrants carefully, even refugees. You did not invent “Extreme Vetting”. It’s not easy to get into the US either. Yes, we have to be vigilant. We can be tough without being mean. The election of Justin Trudeau was an amazing rebuke of the old conservative dark ways. “Sunny Ways”, he chanted while campaigning across the country, in 2 languages, if you please. He brings a confidence and fresh attitude that inspires all of us to achieve.

5.10 THE 1st TRUDEAU ERA Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Prime Minister 1968-1984 With a fresh red rose on his lapel every day and an irreverent and cocky personality, Pierre Elliott Trudeau quickly turned his entry into Federal politics into Trudeaumania, a national media phenomenon; much like you are doing today, Mr. Trump; except that he was actually smart, articulate and informed. He was a prominent lawyer, teaching constitutional law at the University of Montreal. He was well travelled, having spent some serious time in China and Europe, and was a member of The Club of Rome, a think tank whose mission is to develop a systematic approach to the design of public policy and influence governments to use the system. He did that alright, for more than 15 years and 4 re-elections. He was an amazing man, whether one liked his politics or not. Hundreds of books have been written about him. The Internet is full of stories and images. He will not be forgotten. His public persona was huge. He was fearless. In 1970, during the “October Crisis”, he proclaimed the War Measures Act to quell a rebellious group of separatists who had kidnapped government officials, including a Minister of the Government. Elliott Trudeau was extremely productive.

Pierre

He implemented official

bilingualism, the Patriation of the Constitution, and the establishment of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He retired of his own accord, after his mission was accomplished. His son Justin, the current Prime Minister of Canada will try to be equally productive. His pedigree is good and he is off to a great start. • I remember, during Trudeaumania in 1968, my wife and I went to see Pierre Elliott Trudeau at a rally in the parking lot of the Fairview Shopping Centre. There were thousands there. He won the election that year and became Prime Minister. • I had an actual “brush with fame” in 1977, when his office called to alert us that he was coming to visit our school with a CBC TV crew in tow. We went nuts in getting ready, but, alas, his schedule changed and he never came. It would have given us such a boost. I was m this professional sales training centre I had created a year earlier. We succeeded anyway.

• Straightening out the history book. Canada beat the US in the War of 1812. • Canada made a name for itself in WWI by breaching the Nazis at Vimy Ridge in 1917, where Canadian soldiers earned the name Storm Troopers. Toughest of soldiers. We still are.

• Canada played key role in WWII. We got in early in 1939 and fought on all fronts. “Took one for the team” at Dieppe and Saved the Dutch from starvation near the end

• Who can forget Canada’s help during the 9/11 attack? Another heroic day • Greatest American trading partner through NAFTA – billions every day • Canada saves your bacon every by sending you oil, fresh water, electric power, softwood lumber and with the Canadarm in your space program.

• Canada has Universal Health care and you can only wish you had it too • Canada deserves more respect from the USA. If you got this far you already know why. 41

Chapter 6 CANADA DESERVES MORE RESPECT FROM THE US

As you can see Mr. Trump, Canada deserves more respect from the US. Everyone else wants to do business with Canada on fair terms. Canada is one of the most desirable countries to trade with, to live in, move to or to visit. Canadians have a reputation as good people. Why do you `want to bully us? If you have read the foregoing, you know we won’t let you. So, I can sit here at my desk and rant all I want but I think you’ll better appreciate what I mean through the words and videos of people you know and respect. I am enlisting the help of one of our best news magazines: MacLean’s.

It’s a conservative

publication but unlike in the US, conservatives and liberals aren’t very far apart politically. We don’t actually view our press as right or left leaning in ideology. So, Mr. Trump, I invite you to read/view this easy discussion on how the American dream has moved north, to Canada, written by Scott Gilmore of MacLean’s. You can meet Scott Gilmore as he is interviewed by Fareed Zakaria on CNN - sure to capture your attention. The American dream has moved north to Canada by Scott Gilmore.

6.3 MACLEAN’S EDUCATION REPORT: RATING OUR SCHOOLS So, Mr. Trump, ever wonder why Canadian college sports teams aren’t as good as American teams? A couple or basic reasons come to mind: one is that academics rule. To get a degree, you need to take real courses and get a real education with which you can earn a living. No Trump Universities allowed here. All our schools are renowned. They are arguably affordable and produce the great proud Canadians that we are. MacLean’s Magazine is known for its Canadian Universities Annual Ranking. I invite you to review the most recent results and related articles to learn how the schools are ranked on an even playing field. A college degree isn’t the be-all and end-all of education. A degree is mandatory if you intend to pursue a professional career in Medicine, Research, Engineering, Law, Education, etc.

The Trades

While everyone is focused on a college education, there’s a whole world happening out there for most people. In my opinion, focus on “The Trades” is far more important if you want to have a shot at a good paying job and a nice middle-class life. This applies to both men and women. Think, we can’t import everything from China, India, Mexico and Europe. Who is going to make the food we eat, extract the oil/gas from the ground, or make wind turbines and solar panels? Who is going to build the houses we live in, the furniture, the appliances, etc? Who is going to fix anything that breaks? Who is going to work in all the infrastructure jobs that abound? And, with all the trade deals we have, who is going to make all the stuff we export? We already do billions of trade with you, the USA. You need to know how to do something if you are going to go out and start your own life. And, who knows? You may even have an opportunity to start your own business within one of the trades. You see, Mr. Trump, we have it covered. Check out what makes Canada and Canadians so good. Lots of practical information follows.

6.5 99 REASONS WHY IT’S BETTER TO BE A CANADIAN

You may be right, Mr. Trump. You’ll need to make America great again because you’ve lost it. Although it’s not easy to live next to a great cultural, military and economic superpower like the USA, that doesn’t mean that America is the best at everything. As you can see from a fairly recent (2013) report by Maclean’s, Canada’s premier magazine, they found many ways in which we are better off: from sports and sex to politics and entertainment - 99 ways, actually. The link above is a must read - fascinating, even for Canadians. I’m impressed!

Facebook Comments Barbara S. My pet peeve...reading the prices on magazines, the back of greeting cards, or any of the retail items at Starbucks...and having to pay the higher of the two! What would Trump say if the roles were reversed? Sharon H. Stop advertising this stuff, everyone will want to live here. Show pictures of snow storms and us all bundled up against howling winds and freezing cold… Brett M.P. I would absolutely agree with this article. I have spent the last two months away from Canada and I have never experienced such interest from young ambitious educated people from all over the world who want to make Canada their home or are at the least interested in traveling across Canada. The time is upon us as Canadians to showcase our country and realize that people from around the world are starting to pay close attention. We have very little to complain about and more energy is needed in positioning ourselves as a World-class destination. Carole P. I’m a Canadian living in USA and you don’t see old people working until they can’t, just to pay their medical insurance in Canada. In the USA you see this everywhere. I have 2 coworkers in their late 60s. They can’t stop working because they need money for insurances. Canada is a great country.

6.6 CANADA VIA VIDEOS

46

Chapter 7 ENOUGH ABOUT CANADA WHAT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR SUPPORTERS, MR. TRUMP? This video demonstrates how America is so screwed-up. These people actually represent your “core” electorate, the ones that elected you. Was the south always this ignorant? They have no idea what they are saying. The sad part is that they don’t know they are so ignorant. There are approximately 35 million of them, a number that matches your popularity level. How do you reprogram so many people? Oh, I see, you don’t. You just take away their healthcare. How did America get here? Read on, you’ll see why. So, Mr. Trump, with the help of US leadership, WWII came to an end and the world began a huge rebuilding program. I’m familiar with Canada and the US because I was there as a teenager in the early 50s and saw the whole thing with my own eyes. It was an amazing time. From my perspective in Montreal, Canada, everyone was so hopeful, working as hard as possible with great plans for the future. My family sponsored a large number of relatives from Italy. It wasn’t easy then either. We already had vetting back then. We didn’t have ISIS, we had Nazis and Communists. Immigration was usually handled by professionals: mostly lawyers and notaries. Everyone had to have a guaranteed job waiting. relatives

We took holidays in Old Orchard, Maine and Providence, Rhode Island, where we had relatives. That’s where I saw my first turnpike with tolls and my first drive-in theater. The beaches were full. I could feel success all around me. Nothing was impossible. some American channels from Burlington or Plattsburg and our Canadian channels also showed some US programs. For me, Father Knows Best was the one that “set the bar” by defining the model life to shoot for: the little suburban house with the white picket fence, a station wagon in the driveway, 2 polite kids and a stay at home mom greeting her husband with a nice cocktail when he returned from work. That’s what we used to call the “good old days”. Now we just refer to that time as “back in the day”. For those who don’t like to read, I’ve assembled a few videos that tell the whole story. Canadian culture experienced similar development during these times. I am focusing on American culture because I want you to learn what you and too many Americans seem to have forgotten or missed in school while growing up. If you want to be a great leader and earn the next face on Mount Rushmore, you’ll need to reprogram everyone, including yourself. To do this you must reset everyone to square one. I believe that starting in the 50s is the right place. It does not matter whether you have a lot of schooling or just a little. Everyone can see, hear and understand the recent wonderful videos presented by PBS, the Public Broadcasting Network, the same one you are trying to defund. Shame on you!

48

7.1 THE 1950'S: THE LIFE OF AN AVERAGE AMERICAN This is a story about Ronald Bellettiere, a Philadelphia man who lived in the fifties as a teenager and a young adult. He describes what life was like for most Americans (and Canadians), from advances in technology and social life to the sweeping paranoia of McCarthyism in the US (the hunt for suspected Communist supporters). Times haven’t changed much in this regard. Today we have ISIS supporters, Neo Nazis, home-grown terrorists and you. As you already know, you can’t please everyone. PBS Documentary - The 1950s - Segment 1 of 3 - Aug. 6, 2014 -23:25 min. PBS Documentary - The 1950s - Segment 2 of 3 Aug. 6, 2014 - 21:40 min PBS Documentary - The 1950s - Segment 3 of 3 - Aug. 6, 2014 -13.05 min. What happened, Mr.Trump? Everything was going so well. America was functioning on all cylinders. Great new roads and highways, great new infrastructure, great advancement in technology (Xerox, Kodak, Polaroid, Cinemascope), cars, education and training. What went wrong? Well, unfortunately, the 60s happened.

49

You see, Mr. Trump, during the 50s, the US had never stopped making war. Remember the ill-fated Korean War and the behind the scene involvement in South East Asia with Indochina? Well that did not turn out so well either. The Communists established great footing in North Vietnam anyway. By the mid-60s, the US was in the middle of a terrible fullblown war over there, sending troops upon troops to fight a war no one wanted to fight or knew how to fight, in the jungle.

It turned out to be a very depressing time.

It was

demoralizing, causing everyone to let their guard down. All the self-discipline went up in smoke. On one side, the Beatles arrived, defying our norms of decorum with their long hair, free love was unleashed, pot and hallucinogens (LSD) became common place and Woodstock wrapped it all together with a bow. Simultaneously “and at the same time”, huge protests against the war in Vietnam and Civil Rights marches disrupted civil order mightily. Lest we forget: the 60s also saw the assassination of President John F, Kennedy, his, then, Attorney General brother, Bobby Kennedy and Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. All the while, President Richard Nixon was well on his way to creating the Watergate scandal, which will turn out to have been small compared the one you have been creating. Imagine all that in one decade? Our world was never the same after that. America spent the 50s very busy building up the country, and the 60s, allowing some to take it down, while most were asleep at the switch. It makes for fascinating history. For those who don’t like to read, I’ve selected another wonderful PBS video that encapsulates the entire decade. We are still suffering from its side-effects. That’s when American progress slowed down dramatically and the dumbing down of America really began. We all lost sight of the “Father Knows Best” model. You’ll note, it will take 2 hours to cover this incredible period. PBS Doc.-The 1960s - Years That Shaped a Generation -May 12, 2012- 1hr 55min

7.2 THE SIDE-EFFECTS OF THE 60s How the Vietnam War affected America

You remember the 60’s, don’t you Mr. Trump? Remember all your draft calls? You were probably wise not to go. Americans were happy to leave the 60s and a bit more behind. The Vietnam War did not end until 1973 but the effects at home started to be felt long before. Until this war, the American economy was purring: low inflation, almost full employment and a good balance of trade with other countries. But America couldn’t leave well enough alone. It could not resist another war. It was obvious, soon after President Johnson jumped into Vietnam with both feet, in 1965, that the US could not afford the war. He was forced to rob from some of his important programs, such the Great Society, to pay for it. He replaced the “War on Poverty” at home with a war in a jungle, half way across the globe, where he helped to kill 2 million civilians and over 1 million Viet Cong soldiers while creating over 10 million refugees. He wasted $168 billion on that stupid war. And, America didn’t even win it and robbed thousands of young soldiers of a chance to become great productive Americans. What a shame! Thank God that the huge protests all over the country brought an end to the military draft and, eventually, an end to that miserable war. Apparently, you, Mr. Trump, can’t wait to start another war. You, who were too chicken to enter the draft – 5 deferments, was it? 51

In my opinion, 2 main things resulted from the ill-fated Vietnam war that are still evident today. 1. The US population lost confidence in its government and elected officials. Too many lies and cover ups. Remember Gulf of Tonkin (fake news) and (real news) Mai Lai, Kent State and Watergate? 2. The US became leery of starting another long-winded big war. This became known as the Vietnam Syndrome. That lasted for a few years. America declined fighting the Russians in Afghanistan and totally screwed up the Iran hostage crisis and the aftermath of Desert Storm. NOTE: By the end of 1970s, Vietnam Syndrome was no longer a medical term and it came to have a pure political meaning, coined by Henry Kissinger and popularized by Ronald Reagan to describe the U.S.’s reluctance to send troops into combat situations overseas. This happened because the U.S. was afraid that they would get bogged down in a “quagmire” again, like they did in Vietnam, and this would lead to a loss of support for the government. Obviously there is a right time to go fighting abroad and there is a right time to mind your own business. The Russians gave up in Afghanistan after 10 years. What made you think you could do better? You lost over 5000 soldiers for nothing. After 16 years, America (you) is currently losing that war. And, remember that it was the Canadian Ambassador who saved a number of American diplomats in the Iran Hostage Crisis. Except for Desert Storm in 1992, the US has done a miserable job of handling wars. Who knows what would have happened, after Desert Storm, if Bush senior had helped the Kurds against Saddam Hussein? Perhaps you should mind your own business and spend your money on roads, schools and Medicaid. Apparently, the Vietnam Syndrome is contagious to US Presidents. Regan carefully played behind the scene with the Nicaraguan situation, linking it to an illegal covert weapons trading operation, known as Iran Contra. But, this syndrome seems to afflict mostly Democrat Presidents. Carter was weak in the Iran hostage crisis. Clinton pulled out of Somalia, after the failed “Blackhawk Down” raid that killed 18 Americans in Mogadishu, leaving it as a failed state growing criminals and terrorists and he refused to intervene in Rwanda where over 800,000 citizens were assassinated in a genocide operation. Obama caught it also, as you remember his wishy washy approach in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and ISIS.

52

Now, you come along, Mr. Trump, appearing more decisive than previous Presidents but you are a bigger chicken than the others. You are such a coward that you surrendered your Commander in Chief responsibilities to your Secretary of Defense. Shame on you!

Do you remember these images?

53

7.3 THE CUMULATIVE EFFECT SINCE VIETNAM So Mr. Trump, ever wonder what happened to the “Father Knows Best” model? The Granddaddy of Motivational Literature, a masterpiece of personal achievement, Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” happened. Although written way back in 1937 at the time of FDR’s New Deal, it made a resurgence in the mid-sixties with the rise of multi-level/network marketing and Mutual Fund schemes such as Holiday Magic, Amway and IOS. Greed soon followed.

It replaced God.

Televangelists emerged, asking

viewers to send money in the name of God, but, really, it was to support their own lavish lifestyles. Remember James Bond’s “Goldfinger” who was trying to control all the gold in the world? He tried to rob Fort Knox. That’s where the US held all its gold reserves to support the value of its dollar. I’m sure you’ll understand my little story. Back then, in the 50s, we made something and sold it.

Nothing happened until someone sold something, which makes salesmen the most

important persons in any company. The company we worked for made profits from actual production of goods. Success translated directly to share value. Share value represented the total of all the assets owned by the company divided by the number of shares out. You could touch all of it. By the mid-eighties, schemes and scams flourished, especially where no goods changed hands. Remember Junk Bonds, where shares weren’t worth the paper they were printed on? Share value had no substance. Colorful history of the Vancouver Stock Exchange e.g. Back in the 80s, there were a lot of public mining companies that had essentially gone out of business. Some were suspended for non-payment of listing dues while others still traded for a penny or two. So, someone could buy up all the shares of such a public company for pennies, insert a new product, rename the company and promote it again to raize capital for the new venture. This still goes on today. But back then, the main objective was GREED, to raize the share value so that a private placement could be done at a high share price, beyond a penny or two. There were a lot of techniques for this. The favourite was to give a stock promoter a large block of shares to enable him to re-establish trading action. Eventually, the stock promoter and those who hired him, would sell their shares at the high point of the promotional push and then walk away, leaving the stock to fend for itself. With no one creating a market, the shares fell back down. And, all the new investors lost.

54

Profiting from lobbying and tax breaks.

55

7.4 THE RIZE OF “TREASON” IN AMERICA Money, truly, is the source of all evil. Greed kills. Money and greed too often lead to betrayal, which in my book is synonymous with treason. Although treason is usually associated with military matters of national security, you can commit treason by lying to your supporters only to get their votes and then do as you please after you win. You don’t have to be a professional politician to understand that. Definition from the US Constitution: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.” ARTICLE III, SECTION 3, CLAUSE 1 So, Mr. Trump, although no US president has ever been accused or convicted of treason, you are well on your way to be the first. Compared to your actions, Nixon’s Watergate, Regan’s Iran Contra scandal and Clinton’s impeachment were not as bad. Continue your covert friendship with the enemy (Russia) and you’ll fast-track yourself to the firing squad. Until that happens, continue with what you’ve been doing and you’ll get there just as quickly. You can’t lose! My advice is that you should read and understand the documents you are given to sign because your underlings are not doing you any favours. They are looking out for themselves and their agenda. For example, your Trumpcare program will kill millions of Americans during the next 10 years because your citizens won’t be able to get medical help when they need it. That is genocide. Instead of killing off a race or a tribe, you are killing off your poor and your seniors. It’s one sure way to purify the population. You want to implement this to save billions so you can pay for your stupid wall on the Mexican border, which will cost America 25 billion dollars. What do you need more? The unnecessary wall or saving the lives of millions of Americans? Genocide is treason. Bad results will happen to you if you keep giving tax breaks to the rich. They are already rich. They don’t need more tax breaks. They need to give back by building schools and hospitals instead of Country Clubs. Remember what the French did in a similar situation in 1789? During the reign of Louis XVI, France faced a major economic crisis, partially initiated by the cost of intervening in the American Revolution, and exacerbated by a regressive system of taxation. On May 5, 1789, the Estates-General of 1789 convened to deal with this issue. They were held back by archaic protocols and the conservatism of the Second Estate, which consisted of the nobility, only 2% of France's population at the time. On June 17, 1789, the Third Estate, with its representatives drawn from commoners, reconstituted

56

themselves as the National Assembly, a body whose purpose was the creation of a French constitution. The king initially opposed this development, but was forced to acknowledge the authority of the assembly, which subsequently renamed itself the National Constituent Assembly on 9 July. Storming the Bastille was the start of the French Revolution. For those who believe that history repeats itself, there is a scary similarity. Eventually the king, Louis the XVI, his wife, Marie Antoinette, and key activists of the Revolution like Maximillian Robespierre and all their cronies went to the guillotine. Today’s equivalent is you, Ivanka, Jared and Bannon. Although you survived your visit to Paris on Bastille Day, the 14th of July, the forces against you, at home, were hard at work. I’m sure you’ll feel the effects this fall. Pardon the pun. That’s the only thing you you’ll be allowed to pardon.     

Earlier in January, you approved the Keystone and the Dakota pipelines promising to use US steel pipe but you gave the contract to Russians. That’s treason. You approved the killing of defenseless hibernating bears in ALASKA. That’s treason. You approved the polluting of rivers and lakes for the sake of greed. That’s treason. You approved cutting back on meals for school kids and seniors. That’s treason. You are preparing to privatize National Parks and cut welfare. That’s treason.

Is there no end to your attack on America? Yes there is. When your supporters realize that there are no new jobs, that coal jobs are not coming back, that they can’t afford to go to the doctor, and that they are not getting rich, what do think they’ll do? They will physically fire you, the same way they fired one of your idols, Mussolini. Dismantling the American way of life is high treason. All your leaders and their helpers will suffer the same fate. On the 50th Anniversary of the Rosenbergs’ execution, their younger son reflected on the implications of their case. Read Robert Meeropol’s article “Treason and Patriotism in Today’s America ”, in the May 2003 issue of Jewish Currents

57

7.5 TO THE POORLY EDUCATED – This Book Is For You Mr. Trump, why do you love the poorly educated so much? Simple. They are easily impressed by charlatans like you and easily led off the cliff like lemmings. You knew this before you got started in politics. Let me share some key, true, verifiable facts that will please you because your allegations will be confirmed. “America needs to be made great again”. The operative word is AGAIN. Even your supporters will be dismayed to see how low you have sunk. To have let this happen is an act of treason. But, so many helped this dumbing down to take place. How did it happen? It’s a complete, coast-tocoast, disaster. Were you secretly taken over in a silent coup by Nazis who believe in a totalitarian state,.3 like your close friend, Bannon? That theory might explain the fact that the KKK and the white Supremacists have always remained strong. Remember, Governor Wallace, Nixon’s Pretorian Guards, Oklahoma, and now you. Below is a brief extract from Ray Williams who wrote a great article in Psychology Today, that fits so perfectly with this topic. IT’S YOUR NATIONAL REPORT CARD! WHAT A DISGRACE! INCONCEIVABLE! Although this report is 7 years old, things are even worse today. But you know that. 7.6 ANTI-INTELLECTUALISM AND THE "DUMBING DOWN" OF AMERICA by Ray Williams Wired for Success - Posted Jul 07, 2014 The article examines the rise of today’s "alternative facts," and opinions replacing science and real facts American school culture exalts the athlete and the good-looking cheerleader. Well-educated and intellectual students are commonly referred to in public schools and the media as "nerds," "dweebs," "dorks," and "geeks," and are relentlessly harassed and even assaulted by the more popular "jocks" for openly displaying any intellect. These anti-intellectual attitudes are not reflected in students in most European or Asian countries, whose educational levels have now equalled and will surpass that of the U.S. And most TV shows or movies such as The Big Bang Theory depict intellectuals as being geeks if not effeminate. Part of the reason for the rising antiintellectualism can be found in the declining state of education in the U.S. when compared to other advanced countries. For example, • After leading the world for decades in 25-34 year olds with university degrees, the U.S. is now in 12th place. The World Economic Forum ranked the U.S. 52nd among 139 nations, in the quality of its university math and science instruction, in 2010. Nearly 50% of all graduate students in the sciences in the U.S. are foreigners, most of whom return to their home countries. • The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs commissioned a civic education poll among public school students. A surprising 77% didn't know that George Washington was the first President; couldn't name Thomas Jefferson as the author of the Declaration of Independence; and only 2.8% of the students actually passed the citizenship test. The Goldwater Institute of Phoenix did the same survey and only 3.5% of students passed the civics test.

59

According to the National Research Council report, only 28% of high school science teachers consistently follow the National Research Council guidelines on teaching evolution, and 13% of those teachers explicitly advocate creationism or "intelligent design".

18% of Americans still believe that the sun revolves around the earth, according to a Gallup poll.

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities report on education shows that the U.S. ranks second among all nations in the proportion of the population aged 35-64 with a college degree, but 19th in the percentage of those aged 25-34 with an associate or high school diploma, which means that, for the first time, the educational attainment of young people will be lower than that of their parents.

74% of Republicans in the U.S. Senate and 53% in the House of Representatives deny the validity of climate change despite the findings of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and every other significant scientific organization in the world.

According to the 2009 National Assessment of Educational Progress, 68% of public school children in the U.S. do not read proficiently by the time they finish third grade. And the U.S. News & World reported that barely 50% of students are ready for college level reading when they graduate.

According to a 2006 survey by National Geographic-Roper, nearly half of Americans between ages of 18 and 24 do not think it necessary to know the location of other countries in which important news is being made. More than a third consider it "not at all important" to know a foreign language, and only 14 percent consider it "very important".

According to the National Endowment for the Arts report in 1982, 82% of college graduates read novels or poems for pleasure; two decades later only 67% did. And more than 40% of Americans under 44 did not read a single book, fiction or nonfiction, over the course of a year. The proportion of 17 year olds who read nothing (unless required by school) has doubled between 1984-2004.

Gallup released a poll indicating 42% of Americans still believe God created human beings in their present form, less than 10,000 years ago.

A 2008 University of Texas study found that 25% of public school biology teachers believe that humans and dinosaurs inhabited the earth simultaneously.

It’s clear that if you really want to make America great again, you’ll need to fix this. So far, you are making it worse. I believe it’s by design. Your audience is smarter than you think. Read the full report for “Anti-Intellectualism and the Dumbing Down of America”.

7.7 THE TEA PARTY, Where Do They Fit In?

We have all heard of the Republican Tea Party, mostly because of a few weird extremists who saw an opportunity to take advantage of the research above and the easily available money from wealthy Americans who were willing to sponsor the disruption of the American government system. By the way, that is treason also. Below are 2 articles that will provide a brief overview of this political phenomenon and surprize you as to the treasonous secret origins of this Tea Party. What exactly is the Tea Party? By Katie Connolly BBC News, Washington 16 September 2010 The Secret Origins of the Tea Party / Koch Brothers Adapted from Poison Tea: How Big Oil and Big Tobacco Invented the Tea Party and Captured the GOP, copyright Š 2016 by Jeff Nesbit. First hardcover edition published April 5, 2016, by St. Martin’s Press. All rights reserved.

61

About the members of the Tea Party Much has been made of the fact that most members of the Tea Party are poorly educated and thus poorly informed. Compared to whom? Some never had the opportunity to go to school beyond a few years, others never got the necessary incentive and attention to help them develop their knowledge and learning skills. But, there is one thing we have learned about the Tea Party members that we have observed is that they may be honest but lack common sense. These are 2 elements that you cannot teach. No matter how many college degrees you have, honesty and common sense were not included.

For those of you who don’t like

learning, you should know the following facts: It doesn’t matter where and when you left school. Kill the expression “finished school”. You are NOT finished yet. That’s why we fall behind. When you say “I finished school…”, you are telling your brain to shut down. Leaving elementary or high school early, for whatever reason, does not mean you have finished learning and are limited only by what you have learned.

No, that’s when your life learning begins.

Formal schooling is

important only because that’s how you acquire the elements that are necessary to continue learning, by yourself. The most important element is READING. You can’t learn much without decent reading skills. You can educate yourself on the Internet, if you know how to read. So I urge everyone to encourage everyone else to practice reading. The other main skills are: WRITING, ARITHMETIC and COMPUTER LITERACY. So, when you think about doctors, lawyers, engineers and teachers you should realize that there is no magic in it. They are like trades. A master electrician, plumber, carpenter or construction worker also possesses a ton of acquired knowledge from both reading and observing. The trick is in the most fundamental building block of learning: reading. You must make every effort to improve your reading skills. The first lesson: don’t worry if you start slowly. Reading is like a snowball. It gets easier to roll after you get started.

7.8 WHY IS READING IMPORTANT? From time to time, people have wondered why reading is important. There seem to be so many other things to do with one's time. Reading is important for a variety of reasons. We will look at some of those fundamental reasons below, but it is important to realize that struggling with vital reading skills is not a sign of low intelligence. For example, John Corcoran, who wrote The Teacher Who Couldn't Read, is a very intelligent man.

He

graduated from High School and College, became a popular High School teacher and later a successful business man, all without being able to read until the age of 48. Many highly intelligent people have struggled with reading; although, when properly taught, most people can learn to read easily and quickly.

62

Now, if a man like John Corcoran can succeed without reading, why is reading important? A person should really read Mr. Corcoran's story to get the feeling of shame, loneliness and fear that he experienced before he learned to read. He was able to succeed in spite of this major handicap because he was a man of intelligence, ability and determination. But, make no mistake; it was a handicap that made life harder and less enjoyable. AUDIO BOOK Story of the teacher who could not read

Illiterate adults can rewire their brains by learning to read (CBC Radio) Quirks and Quarks – June 17, 2017 – Bob McDonald Science Guy - 08:47 minutes Learning to read as an adult profoundly reorganizes the brain So Mr. Trump, you want to do something really important for your followers? You want to be a real leader? Try leading your followers into an education revolution. Urge them to take matters in their own hands and make themselves better, not to wait for promises from politicians but to improve themselves via the Internet. Since so many of them are not good readers, urge the more educated among them to organize small community groups and act as leaders and teachers to show them how to do it. Better still, create your own equivalent of JFK’s Peace Corp. Create Trump’s Teaching Corp, who, after suitable training, will go around the country to help and further organize the community groups and ensure that citizens are improving their fundamental skills. This is how you will improve the human stock of the nation and create a new level of worker who will be able to learn and perform the jobs of tomorrow. Without this, America will never be great again. You will always have this albatross around your neck, dragging down many of your other efforts.

63

I’ll give you an idea of what I mean. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. What you need to run this educational revolution is already available at the click of a button. The Internet is full of such materials. Here are 2 examples of basic reading programs: one is free and the other has nominal cost. You have a combination of benevolent work and free enterprise. Who can argue with that?

Chapter 8 US PRESIDENCY vs CANADIAN SYSTEM Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau’s speech on Canada Day 150, July 1, 2017

8.1 Canada's Parliamentary System vs US'sPresidential System by F. H. Buckley, George Mason University Here, Mr. Trump, is where it gets a bit more complicated. So, I’ve made it very simple: just the basic structural differences. Comparing the Canadian Parliamentary system to the American Presidential System is often described as “Responsible Government vs Separation of Power”. Although they are both supposed to be “responsible”, the Parliamentary system is considered, by most as being more efficient, accountable and transparent. However, it’s not important which is better. This is what you’ve got and it can work just as well if greed and self-interest were not the dominating factors. Let’s just compare the key elements, so that we all have the same info to start with. Essentially, we have similar systems, but we operate them differently. democracies, which means we elect our leaders. Legislative Level and Judiciary Level.

EXPLANATION a) In a parliamentary system, the Prime Minister requires the confidence of the legislature in order to stay in power, while in a presidential system, the President remains in power for a fixed period of time (four years). b) In a parliamentary system the leader of the party must win his seat in order to become Prime Minister. In a presidential system, the entire electorate votes directly for the President. c) In a parliamentary system the Prime Minister, as well as his cabinet, make up the executive. In a presidential system, the President is a one-person executive. d) In Canada the Prime Minister is simply an MP (Member of Parliament) who is named the leader of the party, yielding a situation in which there is no separation of powers. Whereas, in the presidential system, each level of government is separate, a phenomenon known as “separation of powers”. This phenomenon is created by the existence of separate elections for the President, the Senate and the Congress. e) Canada’s government is elected for a maximum of 5 years but a Prime Minister can call an election at any time before if defeated by a vote of non-confidence on extremely serious issues such as approving the annual budget or if the timing is good for a victory that would increase its majority. A Prime Minister and his party can be re-elected indefinitely. Your elected members are elected for fixed terms and your President can only be re-elected twice. f) Campaigning, in Canada, is only allowed for 5 weeks before the elections, unlike in the USA, where you are in constant campaigning mode, which explains why your government can’t get anything done. g) And, just so you know, in Canada, no one can vote without photo ID such as a Passport, a Valid Driver’s licence with photo or a Government issued Medical card. It has a photo also. If you had a universal medical system, everyone would have a photo ID and your voting system would run more smoothly and fairly. It may be time to re-evaluate your system.

CANADA’S POLITICAL LEADERS Our young political leaders bring a fresh new look and attitude to help shape the future of Canada. With such well educated, cultured and experienced leaders, the future of our country is very promising.

Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister, Liberal Party, age 45

Andrew Scheer, Leader, PC Party, age 38

Jagmeet Singh, Leader NDP Party, age 38.

Born on Christmas day 1971, he is the 23rd and current Prime Minister of Canada and leader of the Liberal Party. The second youngest Canadian Prime Minister after Joe Clark, he is also, as the eldest son of Pierre Trudeau, the first to be related to a previous holder of the post. After graduating, he worked as a teacher in Vancouver, British Columbia. First elected in 2008, he was appointed the Liberal Party's critic for youth and multiculturalism, citizenship and immigration, secondary education and youth and amateur sport. Trudeau won the leadership of the Liberal Party in April 2013 and victory in the 2015 federal election, moving the 3rd-placed Liberals from 36 seats to 184 seats, a record.

First elected as an MP in 2004 at age 25, he was Speaker of the House at 32. He is described as a Blue Tory, Scheer is a staunch opponent of a federal carbon tax[ and has stated that he would balance the federal budget within two years of forming a government. A social conservative, Scheer is a supporter of the pro-life movement and opposes the legalization of same-sex marriage.

He began as a criminal lawyer, entered provincial politics in 2011, where he stayed until now. Ideologically, Singh identifies as both a progressive and a social democrat. He advocates raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, decriminalizing personal possession of all drugs, and supports eliminating several tax deductions available to the highest income earners.

ABOUT OUR CONSTITUTIONS We both have a Constitution. Canada also has a Bill of Rights and Freedoms, which is the first part of our Constitution of 1982. Our document is very modern. Although your Constitution is a very solid document, you have to remember that it was written in 1776. The needs of the nation were very different then. Since you don’t care for it much, it would be a good idea to revisit yours and update it. It would provide for a more fair and honest government. Some of the changes should focus on limiting 1st amendment rights, immigration, racial equality, education, universal medical coverage and term limits for all elected officials.

68

Chapter 9 AMERICANS LIKE MEDICAL CARE FOR ALL One for All and All for One One of the main issues contributing to high medical insurance rates in America is the fact that too many young individuals don’t want to participate because they don’t expect to require medical services until they get sick or get are old. So, why pay for someone else’s health care in the meantime. Perhaps the American Health Care Plan would become more affordable, if it adopted the “All for one and one for all” slogan of Alexandre Dumas’ 3 Muketeers of old France.

So, Mr. Trump, here we are: Health Care, the huge albatross around your neck. (An albatross is a huge sea bird that brings bad luck to sailors) Remember the grade 9 poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Let me set the record straight. Americans have always been told that universal health care is a Socialist idea, part of a Communist system and therefore not good for them. Lies, fake news, that’s what that is. You already have it, but only for those over 65. You call it Medicaid. Why don’t you just extend it to everyone and be done with this subject. As a result, for example, 5,400 fewer babies would die in infancy, and you'd save about $1.3 trillion dollars in healthcare spending. Universal health care, done fairly, will enshrine you on Mount Rushmore because it will save millions and millions of lives and cause the economy to rise to the lofty numbers you always talk about. You see, Mr. Trump, all the countries that have high flying economies have universal health care.

69

For those of you who don’t like to read, I’ve selected a few American videos from Indiana U, (where Mr. Pence comes from), that discuss universal medical coverage. You’ll see that there is nothing Communist about it but your doctors, who will still remain independent, will have to take a bit less and your medicine providers, who have been gouging you for decades, will have to charge you the same as they charge in other countries. The medical insurance providers will reorganize their programs to provide services that complement the basic Medicaid program. And, many of your senators, like Mitch McConnell, who became rich after they were elected, won’t have to explain how that happened. The videos below compare the American health care system to the Canadian system. Dr. Carroll has done these comparisons for several of the most industrialized countries. The videos are available on You Tube. I hope you find these as illuminating as I did.  Why Are American Health Care Costs So High? – Aug.

20, 2013

Published on 20 Aug 2013 In this video, John Green discusses the complicated reasons why the United States spends so much more on health care than any other country in the world. Along the way, he reveals some surprising information, including the fact that Americans spend more of their tax dollars on public health care than people in Canada, the UK, or Australia. Who's at fault? Insurance companies? Drug companies? Malpractice lawyers? Hospitals? Or is it more complicated than a simple blame game? (Hint: It's that one.) For a much more thorough and unbiased examination of health care expenses in America, I recommend that you simply Google “Health Care in America”. You’ll find millions of articles.

70

The Affordable Care Act Five Years Later – March 24, 2015 John Green paused, five years after the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, to consider what was known, up to that point, about the law's effectiveness and repercussions. He also looked at health care in the United States more generally, and the limited scope of the Affordable Care Act, relative to the size of the overall health care system in the U.S.

Chapter 10 IMMIGRATION Mr.

Trump, you are having a hard time legislating your ideas because common sense and

politics don’t go together.

For example, does it make sense to deport 12 million

undocumented immigrants? Of course not, especially since most work, pay taxes, educate their kids, do jobs that Americans won’t do, (You know it, you use migrants at Mar a Lago and at your Trump Vineyard) Many even serve in the military and have become war heroes. These are not the ones you want to throw out. These are the keepers. So forget listening to those who want to deport everyone and start listening to those who have ideas on how to keep them.

It’s actually very simple and much more cost effective.

Read about it here: It’s

compulsory reading, if you are going to solve the immigration problem in your life time.

Does it cost more to keep unauthorized immigrants in the US or to deport them? 10.1 IMMIGRATION ALBATROSS Leaving immigration issues unresolved does not make it easier to govern. It will be another albatross around your neck. It will be in your face until you deal with it in a civilized way. Rescinding DACA, without a solution, will be your final downfall. You didn’t even have the balls to announce it yourself. You had you little racist Attorney General, Sessions, do it for you. (Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, does it get more racists sounding than that?) You’re such a coward that you made the announcement but gave a 6 month grace period for Congress to come up with emigration reform, knowing full-well they can’t do it. They are all talk. Why are you so cruel, vindictive and ignorant? Do you think that you can eventually exterminate all the illegal aliens and others that don’t look like you? You are on your way. I can see it in your actions. Your failure in handling the Puerto Rico hurricane Marie crisis will follow your presidency forever. The entire island was totally destroyed and you do not care. You tried to cover it up with the Tom Price crisis and tried to seize Facebook private info about its members. During the Houston hurricane Harvey/flood crisis, you sneaked-in an executive order allowing cities to buy military gear. We saw a test run of a city using military gear in Ferguson Missouri recently. That was just practice. Chicago will be the first big battleground. When we connect the dots, we can see why you have been courting the military and the police, since well before your candidacy. You do have a master plan - to turn the USA into a totalitarian state. Good luck with that! 72

Chapter 11 US - A Morally Bankrupt Country The US, Mr. Trump, was born morally bankrupt. Many of your founding fathers were morally reprehensible, owning hundreds of slaves and seizing huge land parcels for themselves. After 200 years you have yet to clean that swamp. You have always enjoyed keeping the masses misinformed, poorly educated and poorly served. This business of “…of the people, by the people and for the people” is bullshit. It is the land of the rich, by the rich and for the rich. The American people have been sold a “bill of goods” by your politicians for 2 centuries. Because of your military arsenal and your willingness to use it on the weak, you may be perceived as the most powerful country in the world but that’s it. measurement methods, the US ranks near the bottom of any list.

In most

Tens of millions of

Americans can’t read, write or count, or don’t have any job skills, they can’t work at anything significant. So, they can’t get jobs that pay well and don’t have access to any medical program to take care of themselves. In fact, you are the only country in the industrialized world without universal health care. What a shame! Yet, you still manage to consume a lot of goods, most of which are made in other countries where they can read, write, count, learn trades and professions, such as engineers and doctors. Who cares, you say? As long as those who finance the lawmakers keep control, nothing will change. Well Mr. Trump, so much for making America Great Again and your extreme campaign promises but not so much showing us how smart you are. I’ve put my opinion of the job you’ve been doing in my Chapter 11, on purpose, of course.

I thought you’d be very

comfortable there. We knew, before you got elected that you are a morally bankrupt person and, you were elected anyway, even though Hillary got 3 million more votes than you. So much for the vaunted Electoral College, eh? Referring to this group of idiots as a “College” is an insult to all those who took the trouble to go to school and learn something, unless they went to the fake “Trump University”. Anyway, your true colors have been showing ever since you took the “Oath” on January 20, 2017.

Although you appear to be a bumbling idiot because of your severe personality

disorders, bullies like you have been given superior conniving power, by mother nature, when it comes to self-preservation. I believe that you have always had outside help for your “success” and in selecting your cabinet.

73

It started a long time ago when your “brother by another mother”, Vladimir Putin, identified you as a potential Trojan Horse to help him take over the United States of America without firing a single shot. You see, you were trying to take over the world by putting your brand on anything you coveted. Your Trojan Horse was the Miss Universe Pageant, which enabled you to gain entry into any country with a repressed libido and an instinct for greed. Gaining the attention of the rich and powerful in Russia, after the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 90s, was easy. What are OLIGARCHS? In Russia, the rich and powerful are called Oligarchs. In America they are called the 1%. They include names like Koch, Icahn, Meredith, Goldman, Morgan, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Mellon, Walton, etc. You know who I mean. As usual, in Russia, the rich and powerful always take advantage of the poor. They did before Communism (Lenin), during Communism (Stalin) and after Communism (Putin). These leaders were all eager to find a vehicle with which they could launder their ill-gotten money, in huge amounts. Real Estate was the perfect vehicle, and businessmen like you, who have no borrowing credit and no scruples, the perfect accomplices.

MONEY LAUNDERING

Money laundering is the process of disguising the proceeds of crime and integrating them into the legitimate financial system. Before proceeds of crime are laundered, it is problematic for criminals to use the illicit money because they cannot explain where it came from and it is easier to trace it back to the crime.

Money launderers either come up with their own project or are invited to participate in someone else’s project. In your case, since you enjoy branding hotels, buildings and country clubs, those who need to clean their money come to you because it will all look and feel natural. You don’t need to put out any money. They finance the building by lending you the money as a mortgage. You build and promote the project and resell it at a substantial profit. You pay-off the mortgage and keep the profit. And, to make it all look normal, you contract to keep your name on the building, for an annual fee. Result: those who loaned you the money in the first place get paid back with clean money, American money. That’s money with international credibility. International trade is all based on the US dollar. Rubles only have value in Russia. When I buy product from China, I have to pay in American money. Your problem is not what you do with the money. The problem is that you are facilitating the conversion of illegally obtained money into legal money. That’s a crime and you know it. Of course, you probably have to share some of your profits with associates. These would be the crooks you grew-up with who opened a lot of doors for you. It was part of your father’s strategy in raising you. 74

CLEANING THE SWAMP BY PAYING BACK YOUR FRIENDS While campaigning, you gave the impression that you were the white knight in shining armor that was going to run all the crooks out of Washington. You said you were going to clean the “swamp”. You were going to put Hillary in jail, even for crimes she didn’t commit. You were going to improve the health of every citizen, you were going to create jobs by the millions, that these jobs would pay great salaries.

You

were going to take care of rebuilding the military and veteran’s lives. You were going to streamline the rules for starting a business and reduce taxes. You promised to lead by example: work hard, no holidays, no golfing, etc. - nose to the grindstone working for “The People”. You gave the impression that you would come at these issues from the people’s perspective. How gullible we all were. You did the exact opposite.

First, you decided NOT to divest yourself of any of your

businesses, as promised, or put them in a blind trust. Instead, you moved your family-run head office right into the White House, so that your family would be with you to help you run the government in a manner that benefits them and your political agenda. Since your family is not large enough to handle that job, you hired a cabinet. Some cabinet! What a swamp! You brought in Steve Bannon as your chief strategist – a man who believes in the “deconstruction of the administrative state”, meaning the system of taxes, regulations and trade pacts that the president says have stymied economic growth and infringed upon US sovereignty, will be changed or removed. The government will take care of the military and public safety, and for the rest, “you’re on your own”.

Steve Bannon Says Trump's Cabinet Picks Are Intended to ‘Deconstruct’ Regulation and Agencies To help you do this, Bannon has brought in a special team of rich traitors, individuals who believe the exact opposite of Obama’s administration, to undo everything Obama did, to undo any progress made by him.

75

For example, the day after the failed Trump Care, you signed an executive order that called for a review of the Clean Power Plan, an Obama-era policy that, though tied up in court challenges, would regulate fossil fuel emissions from energy plants.

His signature also

withdrew a moratorium on coal mining on US lands. More broadly, it urged federal agencies to "appropriately suspend, revise, or rescind those that unduly burden the development of domestic energy resources." House Republicans, on the same day, voted to repeal internet privacy protections pushed for by the Obama administration, and approved by the Federal Communications Commission, just before the 2016 election.

The regulations would have prohibited internet service

providers, like AT&T and Comcast, from sharing or selling users' personal data, including browsing history and geo-location, without their permission. Less privacy will translate to bigger profits for those businesses, that will now be able to offer outside businesses more detailed information about their users, creating a lucrative market for targeted advertising. Apparently, you are expected to sign this legislation, which has already been approved in the Senate.

BONUS UPDATE: Transportation Secretary Chao refuses to divest. Elaine Chao doesn’t want to fully divest. She doesn’t think she should have to. She resigned her position on all the boards except that of Vulcan Industries, the giant aggregate and road supplies company, but kept her stock options, despite selling all her other stocks. So here’s the question: Why would the Secretary of Transportation, who, if doing her job properly, will play a major role in any awarding of infrastructure contracts, refuse to divest herself from a major construction company? As they say, “follow the money.” The writing’s on the wall. Elaine Chao is following the lead of Donald Trump, and attempting to use her government position for private financial benefit. Mitch McConnell, as the Senate Majority Leader and her husband, is in charge of getting enough votes for it. This is your administration, Mr. Trump. It’s rotten from the head down. How can we reasonably expect any member of your cabinet or administration to divest and keep corruption out of our government, when you won’t? This is what you get when you appoint a “businessman”, with a record of cheating anybody he works with, to the highest office in the land. He’s not “draining the swamp.” He’s feeding the country to the swamp monsters.

Chapter 12 SOME SOLUTIONS TO CLEANING YOUR SWAMP

It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks. But, the solutions to your problems are simple. 

Resign and ask the military to void the last election and invoke a “war measures act” so that law and order can be restored everywhere and the swamp can be cleaned.

Arrest all traitors, those you hired and all the elected officials who became rich after being elected, years ago, like Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan. How did they get rich on a government paycheck?

Reprogram the poorly educated so that they can read for themselves, learn a skill and learn to think for themselves and reason things out.

Clean out the FBI. There are bad guys in there.

Invest majorly in infrastructure jobs. When people work they get out of your hair and don’t get in trouble so much.

Plan for Universal Medicare. This is probably the key to success.

Adjust the taxation program to be fairer for the poorer folks. The rich don’t need more tax breaks. They are rich already.

And, forget about building a plain wall on the Mexican border. The samples you revealed recently are a waste of public money - monuments to ignorance and lack of creativity. If you want to show-off American creativity, consider my Canadian idea below. Create border communities instead. American contactors are renowned for creating such communities. Imagine the jobs this could create? They’d have these built in no time. These communities could include veterans’ housing and medical facilities, security and emigration control centers, refuge centers, language schools and job skills training institutes, hospitals, research centers, recreation centers, resorts and hotels. That would be money well spent with no backlash. In fact, you could get private enterprise to build this. Perhaps you could joint venture with the Mexicans. NAFTA???
