With each passing year WePhoto has grown into a strong community of zealous photographers, the fruits of imagination of which are on display at an annual exhibition that is a part of the week-long photo festival named - Dalmine Maggio Fotografia (Dalmine May Photography) - DMF18. This year’s WePhoto exhibition focuses on - Emotions. With a vast span of feelings that a living being possesses there is no dearth of emotions that can be captured and showcased. Images on display have frozen the expressions of the subjects; expressions that tell tales of happiness, love, sadness, pain, poverty, passion; tales that are unread and offer a glimpse into the mind and soul of people. As you would notice some photographs are able to invoke your emotions even without the presence of a single human being in the frame. And this aptly proves the power of this art that indiscernibly leaves a mark on our minds. Emotions is an exhibition of not just about our passion for photography but also of our love for people and how much each one of us holds inside. We are sure we will be able to showcase this through our gallery and through this meet our motive. WePhoto is a group created on Facebook as conceptualized by Mario Bunčuga in February 2014. It now has support of almost 19,000 photo enthusiasts who continuously enrich our groups, website and pages with their worthy images. These outfits are being administered by a group of passionate photographer admins who have dedicated themselves to development and growth of the parent group WePhoto along with 12 thematic pages, pinboards, web portal along with the publishing house. WePhoto takes credit of the publication of more than 75 widely acclaimed eBooks and coffee table books already, containing the handpicked images of some of the best photographers. These images are easy to browse and share for free and available at ssuu.com/mario.buncuga. Visit us on: facebook.com/groups/WePhotos/ wephotogroup.eu/portal/ 8

Anne Launcelot Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

CAPITOLO 3

The world is her canvas; the camera is her brush. Anne lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a self-taught photographer who received her first camera as a 15th birthday present from her father. Anne is captivated by the diversity of cultures and is inspired by people and the themes of every day life. She is naturally attracted to color, texture and light and these elements provide a rich backdrop for her subjects. Combining her two passions, photography and travel, Anne has a greater appreciation for the world around her. A photograph has the ability to capture emotion in the fraction of a second. Anne wants to draw the viewer in and evoke in them an emotion by telling a story about life and the human condition through her photographic imagery. Anne has exhibited in group shows in USA, Italy, Denmark, China and across Canada and has had many successful solo exhibitions in Nova Scotia. She has had photographs chosen for publication and her work is part of the permanent collection of the Art Bank of Nova Scotia, The Canadian Foundation for Chinese Heritage Preservation, Toronto, and the Photography Museum of Lishui, China. The present collection is drawn from her series - On the train in Bangladesh. www.annelauncelott.com instagram.com/stally49/ Twitter:Anne Launcelott 12

Francesco Marinaro Taranto, Italia

CAPITOLO 4

A graduate in Accounting and a public employee, I am also a photo amateur since time of the film. Photography is a starting point for me to develop cultural and topical projects, rather than a point of end in itself. I find the training fundamental and I do not hesitate to travel from Taranto, to go anywhere across the country to attend a course or a workshop. I believe the development of digital negative in the software is fundamental and I regularly use the most advanced software available for my photo editing. With a group of friends, we have established a cultural association that uses photography to promote the province and its cultural and historical resources. In my experience as an amateur photographer, I have always placed man at the center of my attention rather than the technological novelty as per photographic yardstick.

CAPITOLO 5

At the age of 10, when I picked up my father Felice's Nikon for the first time, he told me: “Luca, whatever happens to the device, it will happen to you! Since then, this mysterious instrument has helped me crystallize forever all such instants of my life and things around it; has been a traveling companion to me; and even today, when I am working as Insurance Inspector at the age of 46, is always by my side. I love the details in macro photography, the subtle conceptuality of minimalism, the bright window to the world in the shape of landscapes and everything else that I have not even experienced. I dedicate my collection to my son Paolo, my parents and all of my friends who continuously encourage me to perform even better in the times to come. www.facebook.com/lucarluccio www.instagram.com/carluccio.luca/ www.lucacarluccio.it 22

CAPITOLO 6

Luciana Trappolino is an Italian photographer living between Lecce and Taranto. She was born in Orvieto in 1964. She has been into photography for the past 30 years and the camera is her constant companion. An avid traveler, her photographs depict the culture and uncontaminated conditions of the places she visits. Photography is a mode through which she can seize any moment and aspires to make it enduring for the coming generations. Her favorite is portraiture, which she prefers to make through random encounters and spontaneous interactions with people. The unplanned scenarios allow her to capture the beauty and emotions behind people’s general appearances. She has been a recipient of many photography awards due to her sensitive portrayal of people and places. She believes that Photography is to observe and tell the reality around us, capturing the beauty through the lens. CAPITOLO 8

I believe we photographers have a role to play -the role of documenting the world around us and creating art out of this. My interests lie quite much in creating art rather than presenting what is visible to the eyes. Whether to portray emotions in people, capture landscapes or document monuments and architecture my idea has been to find angles and perspectives that have not been tried before. An accomplished educational entrepreneur by chance and an avid travel photographer by choice, I was born and raised in northern part of India. I learned to hold a camera at the age of 10, but started pursuing this hobby sincerely only 12 years back. Since then my efforts have been widely recognized through various forums and publications in India and abroad. I am involved as a coach, critic, tutor and blogger in photography. I travel enthusiastically across the globe, love a variety of food and talk to different people and if I could ever save time from all this, intend to write books on my travel experiences and on techniques I have learned to photograph and post process effectively.

Lou Casanova Mantova, Italia

CAPITOLO 9

Lou Casanova has a passion for photography and travels in his blood, but of a different kind. Unlike a normal tourist, he wants to know the place through its people, culture and lifestyle, by instituting a symbiosis between his camera that he calls his third eye, and the subjects he portrays out of their ordinary everyday life and tries to make it look extraordinary in his shots. From the age of twenty he has experimented with almost all the instruments evolving photography. From the days of analog to digital, and now moving back to film, he has covered street, landscapes, portraits and much more with the same curiosity as of the time when he started. He is omnivorous towards photography. Lou Casanova will make you travel with him interacting with the soul of every territory through his extraordinary street portraits and human landscapes belonging to the spatial features of that particular geography facebook.com/Luigi.Casanova.Lou www.luigicasanova.it 46

CAPITOLO 10

I am an amateur photographer yet passionate about this art. I studied Graphic Design when I was young and therefore I always searched for a way to bring photography and design together in my own way. I finally came across a certain technique that has helped me produce the desired outcomes. I don’t consider myself as a real Street Photographer but rather as a Café or Indoors photographer where I feel more at ease. I can walk hours in search of the right place that inspires me, particularly in a fewphenomenal cities that I have been to. I actually live in Geneva but I travel back and forth to Paris and Istanbul where I still have part of my family. I like visualizing other people’s work and sharing my own. I am a great believer in sincere feedbacks. It teaches me a lot. www.yonaelig.com yonaelig-photopaint.com 52
