WePhoto Landcapes Vol. 8 Dear all, I am very proud to present this collection of some of the best works in Landscapes under our banner that is fondly called - The Series. Since 2014 when WePhoto Group was founded we have come this far out of sheer passion for photography. Over the time, thanks to the continuous help and support of many likeminded colleagues who the group draws strengths from, that today we have created multiple platforms and thematic pages to represent the various genres in photography. Today WePhoto group has the widest presence across Facebook representing almost every possible genre of photography. As of date there are 12 thematic pages, with picture boards on Pinterest, a dedicated web portal and more than 80 books published on issuu.com. This annual collection called - The Series - is made of eBooks each belonging to a specific photographic genre, and includes the artwork of several great authors from Italy and abroad. The one in your hands is the eighth thematic book dedicated to Landscapes Photography. Apart from the e-version these publications are available in the form of coffee table books as well. Gratitude Special thanks to Francesco Marinaro, Chief of WePhoto Landscape Page, who helped me select images, contact authors and collect material from them. They are always available coordinating in the back office. Thanks to all the authors who have made this volume into such a wonderful collection with their contribution. Thanks to our staff too, which is constantly managing and taking care of the group with its 12 thematic pages and online magazines. Thanks to my admin colleagues for their patient dedication. All this time that I remain away from the routine management of our network, they are the ones who take care of everything at the groups. I have no words to express my gratitude for the wonderful work they do every day with great passion and commitment. WePhoto Network the Founder Mario BunÄ?uga

Landscapes One may be curious why a 100 people sitting at the edge with cameras in their hands would love clicking the same sunset that occurs almost every next day. Will all their images not look the same once finished? Well, one possible reason could be that nature is as dynamic as it is static. So every day brings new opportunities within the same canvas. There is abundant beauty in nature and you will always feel like belonging to it no matter how long you continue looking at it. But the reason that comes to my mind and I strongly agree with is that it brings about a strong emotion in you. You can pick a part of the spectacle, recreate it your way and you become the owner of your own little universe. You could do the same with a painting with even more freedom and control but in photos you are appreciating the real world that you live in. The pleasure of actually having been there to witness it is as real as the scene before you. The air, the fragrance, the color and the touch is more than the worth of effort that goes into reaching there and taking your photo. Money can buy you acres of land but here the whole planet is yours. You add or avoid elements, shift angles and choose your points of view to make your compositions unique, something more than a record shot, something no words can describe. Such is the collection we present before you that will make you feel as if you actually were there and you will love watching it as much as we did making it. Mario BunÄ?uga April 2018

BENEDETTO FERLITO Aci Catena, Italia flickr.com/photos/123729421@N02/ 500px.com/benedettoferlito www.nikonschool.it/life/scogliere.php

When I look for a composition, I dwell on a distant point. Once the point has been zeroed in, I install the tripod on the ground, put a filter on the lens and get ready for the composition that I will be able to capture through a long exposure. The sea is untamed and every now and then some waves try to wet my camera. But I do not fear the weather.

There are photographers who love the calm sea, waves sloping gently and the clear crystalline water reaching for the white sandy beaches.. And then there are those who prefer stormy seas with huge animated waves, the water threatening to engulf everything that dares to control it. Imagine you are standing on top of an inaccessible cliff looking towards the incredible expanse of the sea whose huge waves crash against the rocks below. I find myself here, with the storm, at every twilight of all the new days, documenting the beauty of these immortal cliffs and plains. 10

ELLE LIN Hong Kong, China www.facebook.com/et.lin.31

My name is Elle Lin and I am from Hong Kong. I started photography a few years ago. I like traveling and hiking too, and therefore, landscape photography happens to be one of my favorite subjects.

This collection is from Switzerland that I had visited to go hiking in August a few years ago. Walking in the Morteratsch Glacier, Diavolezza, Piz Nair, Mannlichen, Lauterbrunnen, Jungfrau, Interlaken etc made me feel as if I was in a paradise of the planet Earth. You all are welcome to join me on this trip! 22

JENNY CAMERON Higlands, Scotland

500px.com/jennycameron2 facebook.com/JennyCameronPhotog jennycameron.blog

Jenny Cameron is a Fine Art and  Landscape Photographer living the dream in the Scottish Highlands with her Husband and two dogs. Her passion for the wilderness began from a love of travel & outdoor life. Sadly Jenny was diagnosed with a rare bone disease a few years ago in her hip called Avascular Necrosis. This put an end to her mountain adventures ( hiking, winter climbing, skiing, backpacking to name a few). She spiraled into a dark space for a short while but thankfully found her solace in landscape photography and her journey began in October 2015 never looking back

Jenny exhibited her work in Power of Women Gallery, Trenton, New Jersey, in February and April 2016, followed by an exhibition at the All Night Art Exhibition, again in Trenton. 2017 saw her getting published on the front cover of the prestigious Scottish Field Magazine in January, getting ten of her Scottish images published in two different Coffee Table style photo books in February, getting published in Black Magazine in April and her work ‘Altnaharra’ being chosen for an exhibition in England in July. In January2018, she was approached to be Haida Filters’ UK Official Photographer and in March 2018, she was invited to be the Featured Photographer of the Month with Photography Masterclass. Jenny continues

pushing the boundaries and

looks forward to the future. 46

LUCA VESCERA Siena, Italia facebook.com/vlucasi 500px.com/lucavescera instagram.com/lucavescera/

Born in 1962, I have always lived in Siena. I was taken aback by the charm of photography, and that made me purchase my first Reflex at the age of 15.

Since then it has been a love of my life, even though I switched from analog to digital with time. Having experimented with all the photographic genres it is with landscapes that I discovered my passion in. By all means I am a landscaper by choice. 58

MICHELE CUCINIELLO Latina, Italia 500px.com/mcuciniello flickr.com/photos/micuci

Having an avid passion for photography since my teenage years I started taking photographs with my father's old camera. Later on I moved over to an analogue camera and found my passion in developing films to suit my tastes. My initial shots represented my huge desire to capture everything that would fall before my camera. In my life I passed through a long period of darkness when I had locked the camera in a drawer, but that did not make me abandon the world of photography. Looking across the web for works of the great masters, I continued studying and improving my creativity.

Since past few years, thanks to my purchase of a digital camera, I have begun to take pictures again and now I live in the magical world of photography, which gives a sense of meaning to my life. I focus mainly on black and white images, unique expressions and capturing true emotions. From the initial days of my experiments with photography, I think I have matured with experience and age. My ever increasing passion for this wonderful art has enabled me to discover the world from different points of view, strengthening my belief that a good photograph may be hidden anywhere; you just need to notice it. 70

ROSSANO PERCOCO Cassano delle Murge, Italia nikonphotographers.it/rossanopercoco facebook.com/rossano.percoco 500px.com/rossanopercoco

For me photography is an expressive medium that allows us to communicate emotions, sensations and moods that our eyes see and our hearts feel. We are able to freeze everything in a single instant, the shot, which is immortalized and can evoke new emotions when looked at in the future. I love many genres, from portraits to the reportage, from glamor to fashion, thoughI specially like landscape photography. The latter improved even more when I learned new techniques and incorporated suggestions from the great landscape designer- Marco Carmassi.

In portraits, sunlight fascinates me. Manipulating the light and shadows helps me in expressing my emotions and getting closer to the subject’s feelings. I love black and white compositions. It has a language of its own and being more intense, it gives an opportunity to observe and compose a shot differently, relying much more on lights, shadows, lines and geometric aspects, expressing the most intimate and emotional part of oneself. Apart from my photography trysts, I have had many opportunities to teach photography at various places around my country. 82
