Claudio Tonin nasce a Venezia nel 1957, grazie ai propri genitori, amanti dei viaggi, sin da ragazzo ha occasione di girare l'Europa. A 18 anni scopre la magia della camera oscura e, dal quel momento, inizia il suo amore per la fotografia, in particolare la fotografia di viaggio. Negli anni visita piÚ volte tutti i Paesi Europei e successivamente, spinto da una costante fame di conoscere ed esplorare, visita diversi altri Paesi extra-europei, tra i piÚ importanti: Stati Uniti, Cuba, Messico, Brasile, Sud Africa, India del Nord, Nord Africa, Tanzania e Kenya, Indonesia e Myanmar. Prossimi viaggi fotografici: Cambogia e Rajasthan. Da circa due anni ha deciso di crescere qualitativamente nella fotografia, passando ad attrezzature di fascia professionale e dedicando molto tempo all'apprendimento delle tecniche di post-produzione. Il suo genere preferito è la ritrattistica street, in particolare etnica. iv

Londra, una metropoli che è un crogiuolo di popoli e razze diversissime tra loro. Ho cercato di cogliere, con la mia fotocamera, le cose che mi hanno colpito, in una città che fotograficamente è stata ormai inflazionata. London, a city that is a melting pot of peoples and races different from each other. I tried to capture with my camera, the things that struck me, in a city that has been photographically now inflated.

Gente de mi Cuba Cuba, un luogo per molti di noi ancora mitico, il ricordo dei barbudos che sfilano per le strade de L’Avana vittoriosi, in mimetica verde... e nello stesso tempo luoghi dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato al 1959. Ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere bene Cuba e la sua gente, fin dal 1998 e ci sono ritornato nel 2014 proprio nei giorni della storica riapertura con gli Stati Uniti... questa é solo una carrellata di scene di vita quotidiana, della "Gente de mi Cuba". Cuba, a place for many of us still mythical, the memory of the victorious barbudos , parading through the streets of Havana, in green camouflage ... and at the same time places where time seems to stand still in 1959. I was lucky enough to know well Cuba and its people since 1998, and I’ve gone back there in 2014, during the days of the historic reopening with the United States ... this is just a series of scenes of everyday life , the “Gente de mi Cuba”

India India, un vero continente, in particolare il Rajasthan evoca nella nostra mente la terra dei Maharaja e dei regni principeschi situati ai limiti del deserto del Thar, dove i cammelli lasciano le loro impronte sulla sabbia e dove menestrelli e cantastorie ancora girano di villaggio in villaggio raccontando le storie degli antichi splendori. Varanasi, dove, malgrado le orde di turisti, si respira ancora il misticismo Hindu... e soprattutto la gente, i loro colori, profumi, odori e vivacitĂ . L'india Presenta una diversitĂ insolita nella sua globalitĂ : gente, tradizioni, cultura, costumi, musica, usanze, dialetti, cucina e geomorfologia. India... un Mondo dove ritornare mille volte. India, a real continent, particularly Rajasthan evokes in our minds the land of the Maharajas of princely kingdoms and located in the Thar desert limits, where camels leave their footprints in the sand and where minstrels and storytellers still run from village to village telling the stories of the ancient splendor. Varanasi, where, despite the hordes of tourists, you can still feel the Hindu mysticism ... and most people, their colors, scents, smells and liveliness. India has an unusual diversity in its totality: the people, traditions, culture, costumes, music, customs, dialects, cuisine and geomorphology. India ... a place to come back a thousand times.

Myanmar's monks
I monaci... ovvero l'altra faccia del Myanmar. La vita del Paese è permeata dalla loro presenza, colorata e serena. sono entrato in alcuni monasteri, sia maschili che femminili ed ho avuto il privilegio di poter riprendere questi giovani nei loro momenti di studio, svago e socializzazione. E' stata un esperienza bellissima. Monks ... that’s the other face of Myanmar. The life of the country is permeated by their presence, colorful and serene. I entered in some monasteries, both male and female and have had the privilege of being able to shoot these young people in their moments of study, recreation and socializing. It was such a beautiful experience.
