Dear all, I am very proud to introduce the new collection “The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have launched the first eBook, including the photographic work of the 15 administrators, who at that time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Since then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Special edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calendars 2016. Every years we collect the BEST Author of WePhoto Group ia a series of eBooks related to a specific photographic theme, including the artworks of several authors from Italy and abroad. Portrait . Nulla di più “personale” di un ritratto. Una tecnica non facile, perchè il ritratto non deve essere solo “un immagine”. Deve cogliere l’Essenza dell’individuo ritratto. Sia una dolce fanciulla dagli occhi languidi, un Rude vecchio con la pelle segnata dal tempo, o un bimbo con gli occhi tristi, il Ritratto deve colpire, deve farti perdere in quello sguardo, dolce o smarrito, devi cogliere il sogno di quella dolce fanciulla, o il sapore amaro della sofferenza. Osservate a fondo questi occhi. Ognuno nasconde un profondo sentimento. . For us, the human beings, there could be nothing more ‘personal’ than a portrait. You look through a pair of eyes and you will find everyone hiding some deep emotions. Making of a portrait involves intricate techniques, observant eyes, and a creative mind because a portrait is not supposed to be just an image. It has to hold the essence of every individual personality. Whether it is a sweet girl with languid eyes, a rude old man with skin marked by time, or a child with sad eyes, their portrait has to strike the conscience of a viewer. It must make them lose their heart. Your job as the photographer is to seize the dream of that lovely girl or make the viewer feel the sourness of suffering. Mario Buncuga October 2016

All my life I have had a passion for photography. In front of the camera when I was younger and now behind it. In photography I can really do my thing, put my creativity to the best use especially with my eye for detail. And then the best results follow. I love to shoot people, common people and not just beautiful models. Every person has something beautiful inside... My name is Ed Peeters, Born in a small village in the south of the Netherlands called Meijel. Nowadays I live my life in Chitimba, Malawi. Where I own and run a Lodge/Campsite with the love of my life Carmen. Here in Africa is where I picked up my old hobby photography again. I am one of those people who feel like they just see things better and more clearly through the viewfinder of a camera. I enjoy taking pictures of People, Landscapes, Architecture, Nature, Wildlife and everything else that appears in front of my camera. Basically, I just love taking pictures. Mi chiamo Martina Ruffini, sono nata a La Spezia nel 1982. Mi sono avvicinata al mondo della fotografia quando avevo 18 anni, iniziando con un corso con la mia prima macchina fotografica analogica e successivamente sono passata al digitale. Da un paio d'anni mi dedico soprattutto ai ritratti ed in particolar modo al mondo femminile. Anche se può sembrare una contraddizione cerco sempre la parte piÚ spontanea delle persone che sto ritraendo cercando di costruire un feeling con chi ho davanti. Amo soprattutto il colore e alla base di ogni mio scatto c'è sempre un racconto da narrare.
My name is Martina Ruffini, I was born in La Spezia in 1982. I entered the world of photography when I was 18 years old, starting with a course in photography with my first film camera, subsequently going digital. For the past couple of years I have worked mainly in portraits and especially women. It may seem a contradiction though, but I always look for the most spontaneous of people that I'm portraying while trying to build a relationship with them. I love the use of colors and all my shoots always have a story to tell. 34

Nata nel 1974. Vivo e lavoro a Kariya -City , Aichi, in Giappone . Mi piace la pittura e fin dalla mia infanzia ed è stato il modo per me di esprimermi . Il tempo è passato ed oggi sono sposata ed ho 3 figlie ed il mio modo per auto esprimermi è cambiato, ora le mie tre figlie sono il centro della mia nuova espressivitò, attraverso la fotografia. Ho sempre in mente che la vita quotidiana e il dinamismo o il silenzio delle mie figlie sono anche una parte di una bella scena . Mi auguro che coloro che hanno visto le mie opere tornino iai dolci ricordi della loro infanzia e possano godere di sentimenti caldi e tranquilli.
Born in 1974. Live and work in Kariya-City,Aichi,Japan. I like painting since my childhood and it was the way for me to express myself. As time has passed to now where I get married and have 3 daughters, the self-expression method for me has been changed to taking photos of which works are based on scenes with my 3 daughters. I always take it in mind that daily lives and dynamism or silence of my daughters are also a part of a beautiful scene. I hope those who have seen my works recall their beautiful memory of their childhood and enjoy warm and peaceful feelings 46

Nella fotografia mi piace spaziare nei vari generi, ma è nel ritratto che trovo maggior soddisfazione, mi piace fotografare i volti e raccontare una storia che porti l’osservatore a entrare, anche solo per pochi istanti, nel mondo del soggetto, in una realtà diversa dalla propria, reale o costruita che sia. Fotografo preferibilmente a luce naturale e i miei soggetti sono per lo più gente comune, non abituata ai set fotografici, cerco sempre di creare un'intesa, una sorta di complicità che mi aiuta a tirar fuori da loro il meglio della loro personalità e presenza, perché per me siamo tutti fotogenici, basta saper cogliere l'attimo
In photography I like to range over in various genres, but it is in the portrait that I find more satisfaction, I like to photograph the faces and tell a story that leads the viewer to enter, even for a few moments, in the world of the subject, in a different reality from their, real or built it. I photograph preferably with natural light and my subjects are mostly ordinary people, not accustomed to photo shoots, I always try to create an understanding, a sort of complicity that helps me to draw out of them the best of their personality and presence, because for me we are all photogenic, just know how to catch the moment 58

Ho iniziato a fotografare fin da ragazzina, quando c'era solo l'analogico, prima con una compatta e poi con una Yashica. Con l'avvento del digitale ho ricominciato tutto daccapo, vedendo tutto in bw, persone comprese e da li il passo a comporre ritratti è stato facile; fluido oserei dire. La fotografia per me è una passione e un dialogo intimo.
I started taking pictures since I was a young girl when it used to be only analog cameras. I first began with a compact camera, and then purchased a Yashica. With the advent of digital photography, I started all over again, seeing everything in black and white. But by then one thing was common - I could understand people and that made the steps to compose my portraits easy... dare I say fluid! Photography for me is a passion and an intimate dialogue with myself and my viewers. 70

Sono attratto dalla natura umana, e questo ha suscitato d u e p a s s i o n i i n m e : f o t o g r a f i a e v i a g g i . Pianifico i miei viaggi cercando di raggiungere il “diverso” da me, di conoscere altre culture, di entrare in contatto con comunità che vivono ancora in aree isolate e che ancora mantengono intatto il loro antico stile di vita. Questo mi porta spesso in Africa e in Asia, terre abitate da persone orgogliose delle loro tradizioni, popoli privi di quasi tutto ma ancora in grado di accoglierti con gioia e genuino calore. Inutile negare che spesso queste tradizioni coinvolgono donne e bambini, assegnando loro ruoli pesanti e duri da accettare. Sono queste le persone che mi attraggono: volti pieni di umanità, ancora in grado di esprimere senza vergogna genuine emozioni. Volti che raccontano storie, e storie che amo fissare in una immagine.
I’m attracted by human nature, and this aroused in me two passions: photography and travel.
 I plan my trips trying to reach the different from me, to know other cultures, get in touch with communities still living in isolated areas and that still maintain intact their ancient lifestyle. This often leads me to Africa and Asia, lands populated by people proud of their traditions, peoples deprived of almost everything but still able to welcome you with joy and genuine warmth. Needless to deny that often these traditions involving women and children, assigning them roles heavy and hard to accept. These are the people that attract me, faces full of humanity, still able to express genuine emotions without shame. Faces that tell stories, and stories that I love to fix at a picture. 82
