WePhoto - 2016 - Reportage - Vol 3
WePhoto “The Series” Reportage Vol 3 Dear all, I am very proud to introduce the new collection “The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have launched the first eBook, including the photographic work of the 15 administrators, who at that time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Since then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Special edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calendars 2016. This new collection – The Series - is made of different eBooks, each one (or more than one if required) related to a specific photographic theme, including the artworks of several authors from Italy and abroad. This is the third eBook of the Ten line of this new collection and has been dedicated to Minimal Photography.
We are all so excited and happy to be able to collect such beautiful images and, most of all to be able to share them with a wide audience. Spread, share, recommend everyone to download eBooks from our webpages and links below. Also make sure to leave your feedback on the eStores – 5 stars comments would be great. RATE IT! You can really help us growing and sharing our beloved passion for photography! In this eBook you can also find the links to our Facebook Group. Come and join, invite friends to share and enjoy some of the best images from around the world!

PREMA MENEZES Bombay, India
www.instagram.com/bellenomade/ Premamenezes@gmail.com
Prema Menezes is a Paris based photographer who has lived in Australia, Dubai and India, where she graduated from Bombay’s prestigious Sir JJ School of Art. As a photographer and as a rover, she is fascinated by the constant spectacle offered by life and travel. She has travelled the world with her camera in her hand, striving to snatch, grab and arrest the images that she discovers along the way.
She advocates the idea that the brain and the eye are far more important than the camera, and hence works exclusively on smaller, lighter formats so that the fetters of equipment unburden her. She often just uses a point and shoot or phone camera, which she likes to think of, “as part of herself and an extension of her body”. In her own words she says, ‘I love the feeling of shooting this way. It’s pure freedom. It’s always with me, always in my hand, and allows me to focus on what’s in front of me, without the equipment being intrusive’. More often than not, her photos are real-life captured on film, where the subject and not the technique, is the strongest element of the picture. Prema says that art is everywhere and that you just have to be able to see it. She peers at the everyday and finds a soul hidden in there. Please see the following Instagram account for examples of Prema’s minimalist phone photography. https://www.instagram.com/bellenomade/ Prema Menezes 16th June 1964, Bombay - India Premamenezes@gmail.com 22

CLAUDIO TONIN Venezia, Italy
www.facebook.com/claudio.tonin.9 www.facebook.com/claudiotoninphoto/?fref=ts
“It’s just a short reportage about my Indonesian Overland Tour from Jakarta to Bali, driving so many hours in narrow and crowded roads, crossing cities and small villages, knowing the spirit so different from Muslim’s people of Jawa and Hinduists in Bali. Colours, voices, green terraced field of rice, their main food… everything will be always in my eyes and in my mind…” 34

ELLE LIN Hong Kong, China
www.facebook.com/et.lin.31
My name is Elle Lin. I am from Hong Kong. I started photography few years ago but I have a special passion in it.
Reportage photography is
one of my favorite subjects as it tells a story and reflects the real life of people in the society. I always wonder if poetic photo can also be found in reportage photography too. Recently, I visited a small fishing village in China. This pattern of the mudflat was full of dots, lines and graphic and makes the poetic reportage photos I desired. It is said that some of the places will soon be vanished due to the development. I am very happy I have recorded them. Hope you will enjoy my album. 46

MILENA MASINI Rimini, Italy
www.facebook.com/milena.masini.5 masinimile@tiscali.it
My name is Milena Masini and I was born in Rimini Italy in 1961‌ In my life I’m a phisycian with the passion for photography and travel. For me Photography as a still picture, a frame that allows me to fix the moment before that gates, to convey that emotion on paper, transforming it into an indelible memory. The shot, for me, is closely related to the journey: is the one that brings me unceasingly across continents to cross new boundaries, both the daily, and the meeting with the other, with the unknown next door: my reflex, therefore, is always with me, part of me, companion of life and faithful friend, memory of my memory. 58

VILI GOSNAK Tunis, Tunisia www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1525989413
Birth date: 30.06.1955 Place: Pula, Croatia Nationality: Slovene City of residence: Tunis, Tunisia
I first discovered street portraiture in Tunisia, where we can see such strong face expressions that are impossible to be ignored. Combined with different social layers, the society identification is more than obvious. I have strong personal conviction that it is very difficult to shoot expressions without knowing the population and their habits. We can be technically perfect shooting street in an unknown environment but hardly convincing from the human point of view. Better you know your subject, better street portrait could be achieved. When speaking about expressions, the spontaneity is more than recommended. Said that, I believe that there is almost no time to negotiate with the subject and asking for permission. 70

LUCIANA TRAPPOLINO Lecce, Italy
www.facebook.com/luciana.trappolino traluce64@gmail.com
He currently lives between Lecce and Taranto, where he carries out the work at a public company. As a child is inherent in her passion for photography. Become a photographer by vocation and lives permanently with his SLR for over thirty years. Winner of several photographic awards His photography is essentially a travel guide, an ethnic testimony of customs and traditions of other peoples, which in part, with the contamination of the Western world, you are losing. And the photograph, especially in this case, is an amazing tool of transmission of knowledge and historical record for future generations.
She loves to focus on the portrait, especially the spontaneous, arising from random encounters with people, trying to capture the beauty, the emotions, beyond the simple appearance. "Photography is to observe and tell the reality around us, capturing the beauty, with the eyes" “The artist offers us a collection of cosmopolitan pictures , urges us to delve into the soul of Africa in particular way , enriching us by sending in suggestions and , through its actions , messages. His sensitive look makes us share in the sorrow , patience, pride of an oppressed people , but proud , leading us to a journey of reflection . " Today there are not people who cry , the whole earth cries " . Luciana invites us to grasp its message , throws his stone , to come true the dream of the municipality exist , in view of a great hope , that of a " humanism " shareable. ( Expert and Consultant of Art , Silla Campanini ) 82
