Different Vision Italy West Europe is here. In this section of our serie, we have a lot of authors, and the majority are from Italy. So, we start just here, and we have a really GREAT numbers of Photographers. This is Volume one of five. The idea for this series was born looking at the myriad of wonderful images in Wephoto Group pages. Authors from all over the world, each with their own culture, traditions, a world view that, although globalization, has different colors regarding different areas So part of this series has the goal to explore every world’s Macro region, and offer a proof, a featuring, trying to figure out if and how traditions and culture can give a “Different Vision”.

This is our third edition from that series. The first, dedicated Asian Authors is available for download via Apple iBooks Store, Amazon Kindle Store and Lulu.com, as separately reported, the second (three volumes) are available for download at the same platforms (see at the end of the book) I would like to thank all the authors for their cooperation, patience and enthusiasm. Almost daily we did talk about the achievement of this book, how to select photos and so on, different countries, different cultures, different languages, and yet we found ourselves in the WePhoto’s chat, talking as old friends in one language, feeling as if we were sitting at a table in a pub to have a drink together. This is the most beautiful side, perhaps, of this work. Demonstrate that we are all the same, it doesn’t matter where we were born, we share the same passions, the same fears, the same hopes.

SERGIO DI shark60@live.it

“My eyes are looking, watching everything that surrounds me and my mind processes through a viewfinder. That is how come my photos” This is my vision of the photography world. I am passionate in photography until the age of 15 years. When during a school trip I took pictures and showing them at school, my teacher told me: “why do you not become a photographer?” A few days later, I was in front of a photographer’s shop and outside there was a sign written in ink “Apprentice wanted” and then my adventure began. Even today, I do it for passion and I prefer naturalistic photos.

What is photography? The biggest lie of the twentieth century! I Practical this passion, I see it more as a discipline, for about 4 years. I believe that what is lacking today to photography is a content. I see too many beautiful photos, but without pathos, without the soul of the author, merely a mere technical exercise. In my photography I try to always put something of me, trying to take pictures only when I feel I need to say something, even if it is often the photograph that speaks to me. I currently have an ongoing project entitled“ Cinderella not Live Here Anymore“ with which I will try to humanize the myth, by revisiting the different characters and not, including Pinocchio, the holy family, Adam and Eve, and the idea of society and marriage. If these photographs not bothering you, I will be happy to welcome you on my site. 33 | WePhoto 2015 ©

started to play with a camera 40 years ago with my father and passing through the years I began to love it having better results. I love so much wideangle and ultra-wideangle lenses because it’s congenial to my view of the world and it’s the best for architecture, cityscapes and landscapes. With my 12mm I use only the 70-200 mm for portrait, my second beloved way to show the world. B&W, colors, HDR, everything is helpful for me,the result only is important, the representation of life and humans is the goal. I’m used to say about photography and my clicks: “nothing serious, just for fun”

Photography? It has always been a passion. It comes from the hearth rather than the mind! I never lose myself in technical details. I’ve read books and taken useful advices from them, I’ve also learned from Facebook’s groups, but what matters the most is my istinct. Photography is a tool for sharing emotions, and emotions cannot be caged in precise standards. WePhoto 2015© | 56

Giancarlo

Giancarlo Petroni Prato, Italy

GIANCARLO PETRONI

I love photography since I was a boy. In ‘69 I was able to buy my first SLR. In those years, my first encounter

giancarlo.petroni@live.it

with photography was socially and politically. The work commitments forced me then to use it infrequently, but without losing the desire to follow with more constancy my hobby. Retired I have been able to devote unlimited time to photos and have switched to digital. In recent years my photograph was primarily street photography, portraits, and the testimony of abandoned places. Love B&W, in fact my image education, in large part due to the cinema, to the newspapers and to tv, was in B&W. Last year I made a solo exhibition at the Museum of Casa Martelli in Florence and participated in a group exhibition at the Villa Reale in Monza.’

center of my city. So describe me: “His passion for photography is all-encompassing. He gets up early in the morning and makes a survey of what we can be back in the city, on the waterfront, at the beach. If you look you have the impression that measures if the lights are right, if you have an expression, a movement of the soul, it’s worth fixing on film. He travels in his ego, director and psychologist, tells the story of a self without complications, where they are involved cats, landscapes and corporeal realities that are content of the pleasures of a ride and dell’abbronzatura natural and exhibited in dreamlike wanderings”

Born in Cernusco sul naviglio (Mi) in 1968, but resident in Dalmine Bg. I consider photography an essential tool for telling moments of life, moods, thoughts, places, but especially a tool by which to make art. Photography has the ability to send an absolute peace, to relax, and to become estranged from the stress and problems of everyday life. My photographic subjects vary a lot, I like to photograph a bit ‘of everything, details, landscapes, night, etc. Actually I do not have a specific subject, when approached the camera to my eye, I am guided by my instincts and everything at that time attracts me photographically. 117 | WePhoto 2015 ©

GIANFRANCO COSMAI flickr.com Gianfranco Cosmai gianfranco.cosmai@wephoto.eu I know, is banal, hackneyed, but the concept of photography for me is tell with the pictures, hit the heart without passing through the brain. Someone said it before and definitely better than me, but I got the concept and I think that when I look into the viewfinder before shooting, in addition to “Did I remove the cap from the lens?”. Photography allows to broaden the horizons (sometimes I got distorted telling the truth), get in touch with a world of people who share my passion and transmitting it to my daughters.
