Privataus socialinio būsto renovacija ir išplėtimas. Reinterpretuodami senųjų Jukatano fazendų griuvėsius, kultūrą, medžiagas, tradicijas ir – labiausiai – klimatą bei vietinę augmeniją, pasiūlėme pripildyti vidines erdves natūralios šviesos, vėsumos ir žalumos – sukurti vidinius kiemus bei sodus, kurie užtikrintų skersvėjį ir reguliuotų namo temperatūrą. Tai buvo pasiekta nugriovus vieną iš vidinių perdangų, atvėrus pagrindinę erdvę ir atlikus kitus specifinius pakeitimus, dėl kurių darbai atpigo ir palengvėjo.

Remodeling and extension of one social housing unit in Izamal. Reinterpreting ancient Yucatán hacienda’s ruins, culture, materials, traditions, and most of all climate and native plants, we made a proposal to open interior spaces and let the light and vegetation in, creating patios and gardens that will guarantee a draft and regulate building’s temperature. This was achieved by tearing down one of the slabs inside the house as well as introducing other specific changes which minimized the required resources, quantities of materials needed, and simplified the process of construction.
