Guidance for Graffiti
On 4 May 2021, in conjunction with the New Brighton Project, the Graffiti Programme completed a “walk through” of the New Brighton Mall, with the assistance of Waitai/ Coastal-Burwood Board Member, Jo Zervos.
This was an opportunity to meet with local retailers to offer them support, advice and resources.
Thanks to the generous support of Keep New Zealand Beautiful and Resene, two Adopt a Spot Kits were provided to the New Brighton Project.
Business owners/tenants now have a “go to” place when they need support in the removal of graffiti.
The Graffiti Programme team are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support that Keep New Zealand Beautiful and Resene provide and welcome you to contact us if you know of an area within your community that also needs assistance with graffiti advice and support.

Residential streets - Raceway or restful. Unless you live on an isolated dead-end street, you may have experienced the rage of annoyed drivers wishing you to disappear as you are slowing down to turn into your driveway. How dare you slow them down so they will arrive at their home five seconds late! The question I would ask these irate drivers is “do you expect other drivers to be patient with you when YOU are about to turn into your driveway?” Apparently, you would.
Maybe it is time to consider an alternative route. Residential streets may be a short-cut in distance, but arterial routes in most cases will get you to your destination quicker. Patience is the key.
