The Dream - The Idea Their pride is their strength. Their honor is unshakable. Their bravery unquestionable. Their flag, above all the symbol of unity. Their integrity unwavering. Freedom their war cry. The Constitution their foundation. Justice for all, their pilot light. All men created equal, their proclamation to the world. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the life force of the Declaration of Independence. July 4th, 1776, it all began. The Dream, the idea called America. Democracy, the name given to this new hopeful life of Liberty and respect. The winds of change are gently blowing across this great land. Time has not been kind to this Idea, this Dream, this Hope, this Liberty, this America. For as I stand upon this land so fair, I feel the gentle breeze of time, of change, gently blowing.
I close my eyes to bask in this refreshing wind of change, that it would bring, to a weary migrant such as I. The welcome breeze of life, liberty, and happiness, Has So Changed. A hot clammy wind of narcissistic confusion now howls like a pack of hungry wolves. Freedom being greedily changed to entitlement, and individual freedom of thought and speech being replaced by political correctness so not to offend. Moral Decadence, breaking down the emotional fortitude of a once strong people, a great nation. Liberty she stands, so proud, torch held high, the flame of Enlightenment growing dim, her welcoming statue being beaten down by the relentless wind of the reprobate mind. Oh, America. How I love thee. Beacon of liberty and justice for the world. Rise again like the Phoenix. Oh, America of mine. Reset your moral compass. Return as the prodigal, to your former glory. Take your place, once again as the defender of the weak and downtrodden.
