Turn on. Tune out. Take your chances. When you tune out your environment you leave yourself wide open to pickpockets and thieves. If thieves can’t see electronic handheld devices and other valuables, there’s a better chance you’ll leave with them. New changes to the Police Code have increased the maximum fines for harassment of Muni patrons and for loitering with a concealed weapon on Muni property to $1000. If you’re caught assaulting a Muni customer you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If you’re assaulted, robbed or hurt, please report it immediately by calling 911 or by alerting the Operator.
