The Loughborough Full-time MBA and our popular MBA with internship pathway focus heavily on practical problem-solving skills to address real business challenges, through modules such as Business Analytics and Decision-making for Leaders. Our work-based assignments give students the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to current business problems, enabling them to improve organisational effectiveness and enhance their leadership skills throughout the programme. The Loughborough Full-time MBA and our popular MBA with Internship pathway offer students an opportunity to study intensively at our lively campus with award winning facilities that offers students a welcoming, safe environment to study and live. Our full-time MBA delegates all enrol on the programme with extensive management experience of at least three years, which ensures a high standard of group learning and networking and is mandated by our being AMBA accredited. Our 45-52 week professional internship allows students to gain valuable UK work experience and apply what they have learned to a live commercial environment. The Executive MBA is designed as a blended learning degree, with face-to-face teaching sessions complemented by online content delivery. Our full-time and part-time cohorts work together on electives and share networking events, creating a more diverse learning environment for all students. Loughborough MBA with internship By choosing our 2-year MBA pathway with a 45-52 week professional internship in your second year, you have the opportunity to: • Gain valuable UK work experience and maximise your post-MBA earning potential • Apply what you have learnt to a live commercial environment • Build your UK work experience in a management or consultancy role (non-UK internships may be permitted) • Extend the time you have to search for post-MBA employment. Your internship may even result in a direct route to employment with your internship company.
How the internship works
Whilst securing your internship will be your responsibility, you will be given exceptional support from our specialist MBA team, who will provide workshops and skills sessions throughout the year to help you fine-tune your CV and interview technique. You will be supported whilst you are on internship through company visits from your supervisor. Internships last 45-52 weeks and usually start at the end of the first year of study. There is some flexibility for the internship start date and the salary is negotiable with your internship organisation.
Entry requirements
• Successful applicants must hold a minimum of three years’ professional work experience (required by AMBA accreditation) • Either an honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent overseas qualification; membership of an approved chartered institute; or a Diploma in Management Studies. English language requirements for international students • IELTS: overall 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each component • The School will accept lower IELTS scores if you undertake the University’s pre-sessional English course • TOEFL with an overall score of 92, and no sub-test score below 22 • Candidates who wish to undertake the MBA with professional internship are expected to have a very good standard of English. Applications and visas
• If you are certain you wish to opt for the 1-year MBA you will need to register on the 1-year MBA and apply for the appropriate visa if required. If you later decide to add an internship you will need to extend your visa to cover the extra time required before any internship commences. • If you wish to opt for the Internship pathway you will need to register on the 2-year MBA and apply for the appropriate visa if required. If you later decide not to undertake an internship, or do not secure one, you can transfer to the 1-year programme.

The Loughborough The Loughborough Executive MBA in Executive MBA Sports Management Our part-time Executive MBA programme is designed to equip you with the skills to manage complex business challenges; develop creative solutions for contemporary business issues; lead innovative change programmes to capitalise on new opportunities and become an effective leader of people. The programme focuses heavily on practical problem-solving skills to address real business challenges, through modules such as Business Analytics and Problem Solving for Leaders. Our work-based assignments give you the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to current business problems, enabling you to improve organisational effectiveness and enhance your leadership skills throughout the programme. Our blended learning approach allows you to balance learning and business pressures. The programme can be undertaken as a Level 7 apprenticeship – see over for more details.

Programme delivery
All modules are delivered in a block format. Core modules adopt a blended learning approach, 3 days face-to-face, and 2 days online. Elective modules are 4 or 5-day block modules undertaken with the Full-time MBA cohort. All modules will include pre-work that has to be completed prior to module attendance.

In addition to the Executive MBA, we offer a sports management pathway for those candidates who wish to tailor their learning to the sport sector. The course is designed to provide you with all the core MBA knowledge, skills and behaviours, whilst allowing you to develop context specific knowledge and skills related to Sports Management though tailored optional modules and your work-based project. Fees and funding Executive MBA programmes: fees and funding
Tuition fees for the whole programme are £27,500. We offer two parallel programmes routes to enable those organisations who pay the Apprenticeship Levy to utilise their funding. Organisations who do not have a digital account, have employees outside England or choose not to utilise the apprenticeship levy route, or individuals who wish to fund themselves, can do so via the traditional non-apprenticeship route. Competitive scholarships worth up to 40% of the fees are available for non-apprenticeship applicants.

The Executive MBA programmes have been designed to meet the requirements of the Level 7 Senior Leaders Master’s Degree Apprenticeship Standard. Loughborough University is an approved provider of Apprenticeship Levy Services to the Skills Funding Agency. Employers will be able to reclaim up to £18,000 of the cost of this programme via the Government Apprenticeship Levy. ESSAM:
The European Summer School for Advanced Management ( ESSAM) is a two-week intensive programme conducted at different institutions. This is an opportunity to join participants from around the world to study core and elective elements focusing on cultural awareness, international policies and their impact on business, and other contemporary international business topics. An additional fee may apply.
International Intensive Study (optional) An international study tour option aims to expose you to different international experiences where you will receive a combination of lectures, industrial visits and cultural experiences and will involve visiting one of several potential destinations, for example, China, South America and the US.

Levy-funded apprenticeship route Your employer may have an Apprenticeship Levy which they can utilise to fund the development of its employees. As an approved provider of Apprenticeship Levy Services to the Skills Funding Agency, Loughborough University is proud to have developed a suite of postgraduate apprenticeship programmes at the School of Business and Economics for organisations who wish to develop their talented managers using the Apprenticeship Levy.
The levy-funded apprenticeship route in steps: for Executive MBA Programmes 1. Identify which Executive MBA programme you wish to study 2. Check with your employer if they are a levy-paying organisation and whether they wish to use their levy to contribute to the funding of your Executive MBA. 3.
