General Information Rooms The display screen in the Executive Education lobby (Floor plan ref. A) will detail the room you will be using. The Executive Education centre has four lecture rooms – see attached floor plan (Floor plan ref. E, F, G, H).

IT and Audio-Visual Facilities The following provides a summary of the audio-visual equipment and IT facilities available in course rooms. Should you require anything further please contact your Administrator who will liaise with our IT support team. Guidance on how to use the equipment is provided in the teaching room. AV equipment

IT equipment

Inbuilt Internet Enabled Windows 7 PC (all rooms)

Internet Access Wi Fi access is free to all delegates and available in all rooms and public areas. See instructions below on how to access it. The weekly imago Wi Fi passcode is provided separately in this pack or is available from reception or your Executive Education contact / Programme Administrator. Instructions: • Obtain the imago Wi-fi authorisation code from your Administrator, Course Leader or Reception • When onsite, connect to the ‘Imago’ wireless network on your device • If the imago web page doesn’t open automatically; open a web browser on your device and visit https://imago.lboro.ac.uk/ • Click the register button and enter your name, email address and the Wi-fi authorisation code given, then click create account. • From the web page that subsequently appears, click the ‘login’ button to finalise connection. • The Wi-fi authorisation code changes weekly at approx. 4am every Monday, after which you will need to obtain the new code and register your device again.

Personal IT Equipment Our in-house IT support team are not insured and cannot provide IT support for equipment that is not owned by the University.

Air Conditioning If the temperature in your room needs altering please contact reception or your Executive Education contact / Programme Administrator.

Toilets These are located on the ground floor and there is wheelchair access (Floor plan ref. B).

Refreshments There are three drink dispensers located in the centre on the ground floor (Floor plan ref. B & C). Refreshments are freely available to all attendees of Executive Education programmes and events .

Lunch This will normally be provided in the Centre’s cafe area (Floor plan ref. C) on the ground floor.

Smoking Smoking is not permitted in any University building and applies to any part of the School. This includes electronic cigarettes. Cigarette waste bins are positioned near School entrances/exits, but visitors are requested not to smoke within 3 metres of the building and/or near windows to staff offices on the ground floor.

Security Please ask your delegates not to leave personal belongings unattended at any time and ensure that your room is locked during all breaks.

Parking Parking for visitors, staff and students is available at the front of the School on a ‘first come first served basis’. Additional parking spaces are available for staff and visitors adjacent to the School.

Campus Facilities Cash machines: Free cash machines are located: • Students’ Union building (building no. 86 on campus map) • EHB Shop (building no. 62 on campus map)

Shops on campus Students’ Union building (building no. 86 on campus map) has the following outlets: • The LSU Shop is your local shop on the ground floor of the Students’ Union selling meal deals, snacks, confectionery, grocery, household & toiletries, fresh fruit & vegetables, fresh chilled & frozen food, a large range of Oriental food, soft drinks & alcohol, Lufbra memorabilia, stationery, newspapers & magazines, greetings cards, etc. • Hairdressers • Opticians • Chemist • Bar • EHB shop (building no. 62 on campus map)

Taxis ADT are based on campus near the Students’ Union building (building no. 86 on campus map). T: 01509 260000

Transport on campus (and into town centre) The popular “Sprint” bus operated by Kinchbus, travels through the University campus and Loughborough town centre to the railway station every 15 minutes until 6:00pm (but less frequently at weekends). During term-time this service runs through the night. Timetables for this and other local bus services, including the “skylink” service to East Midlands Airport, can be found at www.kinchbus.co.uk

Sports facilities The University is renowned for its sporting excellence and facilities. All registered students can use sports amenities on campus. Information on hiring facilities and weekly class timetables are available at: http://loughboroughsport.com/facilities/

Emergency Procedures Fire Alarm The fire alarm is a continuous sounding siren. Fire evacuation procedures are provided below and are on display in your room, in the interests of safety please familiarise yourself and your delegates with this information. The alarms are tested every Tuesday at 12.15pm. If your event is on a Tuesday please warn your delegates that it is a test. The alarm test will sound for approximately 30 seconds. No action is to be taken.

Fire Evacuation If the alarm sound for more than 30 seconds please evacuate immediately through the nearest fire exit. Do not stop to collect personal belongings and proceed to the fire assembly point in the main School car park. Please await further instruction from our Fire Marshalls. Do not re-enter the building unless told to do so by the Fire Marshall or the Fire Service.

Emergencies For emergency assistance please contact reception.

First Aid Facilities We have trained first aiders. Should you require any treatment or a doctor please contact reception for assistance.

Health and Safety All accidents, hazards, and maintenance matters should be reported to reception. Please ensure that all electrical equipment brought onto the premises is PAT tested.
