International Student Police Registration Welcome Week This week takes place each year before the start of your first term. It is a series of events and activities including information sessions, social activities, sporting activities, and weekend trips to tourist attractions in the UK. These events help you to meet new friends from all over the world who will also be studying at Loughborough. It is also a great chance to be introduced to the University and the UK in general. As part of the week there are a number of International Student Helpdesks, which have current Loughborough University Students at them to answer all your questions. Alternative welcome events and activities are organised throughout the year for postgraduate research students to coincide with varying start dates. For more information about the welcome week and to learn how to book your place, please visit our website:

As part of some international students’ visa conditions, they must register with UK police. If this applies to you, it should be stated clearly on your current visa. Normally police registration would take place at your local police station, however to make it easier for you, we arrange for police officers to visit the University campus at the start of your first term here. Dates and times of these visits will be emailed to you personally, at the start of your first term here. Alternatively, all the information will be put on our website. If you are unsure as to whether you need to register, or want to know more information on how to register please visit our website:
