Dialogue between The Dalai Lama and Lloyd Dean To Be Webcast
“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” -Warren Buffet
On Monday, Feb. 24, His Holiness The Dalai Lama will engage in a oneon-one dialogue with President/CEO Lloyd Dean about business, ethics and compassion. This special event at Santa Clara University is cosponsored by SCU’s Markkula Center for Applied Ethics and Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education.
MERCY GREEN
TEAM
His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, has been a tireless advocate for compassion, ethics, and human dignity in society and for the fostering of interreligious dialogue and harmony.
The Mercy Green Team is looking for new members
Two employees from each service area along with Marcie Griggs, the 2014 system office Values in Action winner, have been personally invited by Lloyd to attend the sold-out event. The invitees were selected based on stories of their humankindness that have been shared with Lloyd and other senior leaders. The event will be webcast. Employees at all our facilities will be invited to gather and view the live webcast between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Please check for the arrangements at your facility. For those who are unable to gather for the webcast, the entire conversation will be videotaped and posted on hellohumankindness.org. Also, be sure to follow @DignityHealth on Twitter and Facebook. You can join the conversation by using #DignityHealth and #hellohumankindness.

Thought:
Love of self, love of neighbors, and love of God are the foundational stones of the world’s religions. “Three things remain: faith, hope and love…and the greatest of these is love.” - I Cor. 13:12-13 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.” - John 3:16
Practice:
As you move through a day, be aware of love’s expressions emerging from you or coming toward you — attraction, focus, absorption, desire, adoration, security, trust, empathy, caring, harmony, contentment, communion. Practice extending the reach of these feelings. It is through loving that we experience the love of God.
