“Make sure the things you are living for are worth dying for.” - Charles Mayes Our lives have value only to the extent that we contribute to hope in our world.
Practice:
Reflect upon your actions. Do they inspire hope in others? Perhaps it’s just a kind or encouraging word that makes another have hope that the rest of the day will be better. Say that word today to someone in your family, to a co-worker, patient or family member. Take their place.

So men, here’s a checklist for your next check up. The recommendations listed here are from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. Talk to your doctor about which of the tests you should get, when you should have them and how often.
Cholesterol checks: Have your cholesterol checked every five years, starting at age 35. If you smoke, have diabetes or if heart disease runs in your family, start having your cholesterol checked at age 20. Blood pressure checks: Have
your blood pressure checked at least every two years.
Colorectal cancer tests: Get
regular screenings for colorectal cancer starting at age 50. If you have a family history of colorectal cancer, you may need to be screened earlier. Your doctor can help you decide which kind of test is right for you and how often you need to be tested.
Diabetes tests: Have a test to
screen for diabetes if you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Depression: If you’ve felt “down,” sad or hopeless, and have felt little interest or pleasure in doing things for two weeks straight, talk to your doctor about whether you should be screened for depression.
“Hello humankindness” represents the values we live by at Dignity Health, and in our new eStore, you’ll find humankindness in the form of goods with positive messages.
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs): Talk to your doctor to see
You can choose from apparel, writing and tech accessories, cups and mugs and other fun items.
