Thank You for All You Do on Behalf of Our Patients.

“We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.” - Charlie Chaplin

Dignity Health Is Weighing Its Options On ICD-10 As you know by now, Congress has extended the implementation deadline for ICD-10 to no earlier than October 2015. As a result, Dignity Health, like health care systems across the country, is evaluating the best course of action. The ICD-10 Program Team is considering every option, from halting all work to proceeding full speed ahead. The team expects to reach a decision in May and will communicate it then. In the meantime, the ICD-10 Team appreciates your patience as it weighs many options to reach a decision that is right for all of Dignity Health. During this period, the ICD-10 Team requests that all work related to ICD-10 continue, unless there is a compelling reason to delay or discontinue it. If you have questions or concerns about a specific activity, please contact the ICD-10 Program Team for clarification.

EMPLOYEE SURVEY JUNE 9 - JUNE 27

Relay for Life 2014 Mercy’s Team

One of the most important aspects in making our hospital a great place to work and in taking care of our patients is to receive input from our employees. We have been receiving input through our daily rounding, huddles, department meetings, our recent Town Hall meeting with Lloyd Dean and other methods. You have asked many good questions and we have answered some of them directly with the departments involved.

Thank you to all of the volunteers we had making our booth at Relay for Life a success!

But, perhaps the other most important aspect of this endeavor is to get back to you, the employee, with answers to your questions. We take this very seriously. We have collected all of your questions and have been compiling them and placing similar questions into like categories. There are some things you have brought to our attention that we can accomplish immediately and others that may take longer or that we are unable to do. We intend to give you straight answers. One of the best means of feedback for employees to give to Administration and the Corporation is through the upcoming EMPLOYEE SURVEY, WHICH WILL BE HELD FROM JUNE 9 THROUGH JUNE 27. The survey is conducted by an outside vendor and all information returned to Dignity Health is anonymous. We will communicate the results of this survey to you and incorporate them into the future planning of the corporation and the hospital. With your input, we can improve the mission of the hospital. Stay tuned for more information.
