Combined harvest for Stags’ sales STAGS’ On-Site Sales team have enjoyed a number of significant sales, including the biggest farm machinery sale the agent has conducted for many years. The quality of the machinery at Moor Farm, Morebath, attracted buyers from all over Britain and Ireland. Sale highlights included £42,000 for a 2005 Massey Ferguson 7256 Cerea Combine, £31,000 for a 2008 Massey Ferguson 7495 Tractor, and £26,000 for a 2001 Massey Ferguson 8280 Tractor. Stags’ Spring Collective sale at Honiton Showground saw a total of 950 lots top £9,000 for a 2003 Valtra 6400 Tractor. April began with a sale of game-rearing equipment at Upton Pyne, near Exeter. A total of 1,100 lots were sold. including large quantities of pen sections, heaters, crates, feeders and drinkers. Next followed the retirement sale at Firbeacon Farm, Cove, Tiverton. on behalf of Messrs F J & B M Manning. An excellent range of farm machinery attracted such a large crowd, the car park was unable to cope, aand prices topped at £25,500 for a 2009 John Deere 6230 Tractor. The sale at Gibbins Farm, Wilmington, Honiton, on 12th April had something for everyone. The majority of the 1,050 lots ranged from the old to the very very old and included an unused 30year-old Howard 250 rota-spreader, which had been hung in a barn to preserve the tyres, selling for £2,200. The Spring Uplowman sale again surpassed 1,000 lots with a wide range of farm, horticultural, household and collectable items on offer.
