Family Highlights Lindsey and Tomasz live in Evanston, Illinois. Lindsey serves on homeowner’s association board and Tomasz putting in the hours with ZS Consulting. When not working they love the symphony, live theatre, and lots of travel. 2011 marked their first injury-free ski year as a couple! We’re waiting to see what new board game they’ve found for the holidays. (Psst. Someone turned 30 this year!) Merrick is on the final push at DePaul University (degree in public policy) with plans to move from his longtime home base in Chicago to Boston after graduation. He travels the world with friends everywhere he lands. Lately he is helping his friend, Georg, restore a house. Bo is a junior at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He was just elected president of Sigma Nu. Loves his school and friendships and doing well academically. Had a great beach ministry experience this summer in Destin, Florida. Just set a school and conference record in the indoor heptathlon.
Ashley is in her second year in New York City. Quite the entrepreneur, she incorporated her successful jewelry line under the name J/Hadley – with appearances on the covers of Lucky, Glamour, and Vogue. She sees Michael coming and going between NYC and Houston and he will be joining us again for Christmas this year. Caroline, ever the globetrotter, spent the summer in Italy with study abroad program and saw more of the US in her internship last spring. She graduated from UT in December and has accepted a position with Deloitte in New York City. CPA testing begins in January! Zachary is a junior at Ravenwood High School and keeps the family laughing with his outrageous sense of humor. Played cornerback for the Raptor football team in the fall and continues to work year round on the decathlon. Took fourth place in AAU Nationals in July. Active in Young Life.

Continued In the past eighteen months the family has travelled to three weddings with Cheri’s children – David, Kyle, and Lauren. Mark’s parents have had a couple surgeries and Amy’s mom has as well. But everyone in good spirits and doing well. Prayers always appreciated! As noted with the kids’ love of travel – Amy still being held hostage by family in her job as fight attendant for Delta Airlines. She actually still loves it. Has particularly enjoyed working military charters to Germany and other unnamed locations this year - she is very impressed with the quality of the young men serving overseas. Mark is still in the thick of the publishing industry as agent, freelance publisher, occasional ghost writer, and now a first time novelist. The kids are a little worried what will happen once the last kid leaves the home but they have confidence they’ll find something to do – and maybe a kid will move back
Mark’s debut novel, CUTS LIKE A KNIFE, is a murder mystery set in Chicago. It hits the market on
