2022 EXCHANGE PLACE KINGSPORT, TN VISITOR CENTER
Concept : Construction Drawings
The premise of this project was to understand Rudlof Schindler’s King Road House by developing the contruction drawings of the house through plan, elevation, section, and wall detail.
The new visitors center is a public facility serving as an Introduction to the exchange place living history farm. It supplements the existing array of buildings across the site by providing flexible spaces for education, exhibition, Special events, and visitor services. The visitors center should be clearly identifiable as people approach exchange place. It should also define its immediate, surrounding site design as a response to pedestrian access and outdoor program. An accessible, public second story is required for the visitors center. The visitor center is divided in to two seperate masses that are organized in an L -shape .The central space is left open to allow a new circulation path in the site.

Death Valley National Park Immersion Portal
Selah is an immersion portal located in the Death Valley National Park. The term immersion portal is a physical and mental space that pulls viewers in. It highlights the viewers senses either through sound, visuals, and feel. Selah’s concept is to capture the many extremes of Death Valley through architectural moves that allow the user to experience each extreme separately.
The premise of this project was to understand Rudlof Schindler’s King Road House by developing the contruction drawings of the house through plan, elevation, section, and wall detail.

DALLAS FILM INSTITUTE
Year Location : Downtown
Concept : FILM INSTITTUE FOR DALLAS COMMUNITY
Located in downtown the New Dallas Film Institute is a new installment in the cities growing Arts District. The Institute is meant to be a school to learn the history of film. The program includes a lobby, gallery, two 250 seated film theatres, 8 classrooms , 6 private viewing rooms, library and an outdoor theatre. The building spans 75’x 200’ and consist of 5 floors, the entrance is centered below the cantilevered mass witch is the most prominent feature of the building. The facade is made upon multiple layers. The first floor has an entire glass curtain wall, while the other four floors are a mix between horizontal louvers and perforated steel panels that act as sun protection from defelecting direct sun light from entering the building. This gives the building the appearance of solid while also giving it weightless and transparent sense.

Schleifenmarkt is an urban hybrid merging a market and student housing with the surround urban landcape at innsbruc’s Marksplatz at the Inn Rivr. Embedded in the Alpine- urban conditons of the central alpine region, the project aims to (1) renoegotioate the relationship to the river, (2) unseal surface to prevent unrban heat islands, and (3) connect the oldtown city center to the northen district of Sank Nikolaus accoss the river. The main concept is to pull the urban landscape from the plaza of the building, down to the river, and vice versa merging exterior and interior spaces. The market itself clearly reads as a public space with a traparent glass facade opening up to the sceinc views of the alps offering an indoor and outdoor market under one canopycantilevring out towards the river.

The Library consist of three reading rooms (1) meant to be for adults that at north of the library contains a reading nook for a more private experience (2) a computer and study room located at the west wing for library more catered toward students who intend on studying in the library (3) a child’s reading area that also has a reading nook for more private reading. There are two courtyard areas located on the east and west of the library that are accessible through three different areas. The shape of the library is derived from several wedge shape that are angled to create a shed type roof that also has an overhang to prevent any direct sunlight entering in to the reading rooms.
The Community Library is an installment of University Park. It is placed in a specific Location so that the Library engages SMU Campus and the resedential houses near Snider Plaza

The premise of this project was to understand architecture through developing detailed construction drawing that can represent the project through plan, section, elevation ,and section detail. The house that I studied is Rudlof Schindler King Road House, constructed in 1922 West Hollywood, California. Creating these detailed allowed me to understand the spaces, voids, materiality, organization, and hierarchy that was used to construct the house.
