Every year, the rapeseed fields add their dash of bright yellow colour to large parts of the island, while poppies open up in big and small clusters in the fields and roadside culverts . Make sure to stop and enjoy the colours, the scents and the warm winds, because the blossoming time is as short and intense as it is beautiful . Shops, cafés and restaurants that were closed in the winter open for the new season, the birds twitter in the trees and the queues at the ice cream stalls are still manageable .
