I am a Dancer of Peace, a performance artist who uses the energy, light and love already inside of us to create joy and harmony. I am an author as well, inspired by nature, people and our unlimited capacity to create together. Writing and dance are the highest expressions of art in my world. I revere these arts and immerse myself in them in order to engage the community in the vibrant realm of radiant peace, hence the name.

What does "liberation" mean to you? What does it look like, sound like, feel like?

Liberation means each person can authentically be who they are. It means true freedom, something that we can’t afford to lose sight of as creatives. Conformity is always lurking, looking to eat us alive. Liberation is conformity being discarded permanently in favor of a strong, united community that is aware of its goals, its purpose and that cares for its people.

Is your creative practice one of liberation? How so? How does it feel to create? Yes! When I dance, joy and freedom is my set point. Other humans naturally recognize the energies of freedom anD joy because we are designed to experience that. Creating literally feels like floating on a ray of light. Except when it doesn’t, lol. Every artist knows what I mean here :-) How can art be a tool in the revolution?

Art IS a revolutionary tool because it is accessible to everyone. Art needs no words to inspire action in people. Art can be a tool at the forefront of the revolution by planting the creative seeds in everyone. Don’t tell me you’re not artistic. Art is creation itself. It’s what we’re born for. We all have an important role to play in the revolution. Find yours! It takes all of us.

Share a little bit about your creative process with us!

I believe that the Universe/ Source/ Divinity (or whatever you call it) does the work for me. Music does the work for me. Music is a magic medium that directly reaches into people’s souls. I show up for work and count on inspiration to be there when I arrive.

Are there any other reflections you'd like to share?

Take it as a compliment when people imitate you. Thank them and be happy that you have enhanced their lives.
