THE MINIMALISM
Studio lighting of still life objects Rhino + Cinema 4D + Corona Render
20 Objects in these scene. Is this Minimalism? Nowadays, we tend to give too much value to everyting that we’re are surrounded by, forgetting that all possessions are temporary by nature. Moreover, the things we own require time, energy, and focus and this is the main will of these renders in order to show what does value, even metaphorically, to me. Starting from a simple study about lights and still objects, I wanted to re-create and re-imagine those object that has an indisputable and personal meaning . Focussing on capturing those “vibes” and showing off the combination of the simple geometric shapes forming the scene. Moreover, I decided to underline the differences between material and non-material with the aim of show that perception is Constructive and Subjective, it means that the perceiver uses sensory information and other sources of information to construct a cognitive understanding of a stimulus. Iconic design objects as Lina Bo Bardi “Tripé” Chair, the “O” and “Tolomeo” lamps by Artemide, and again a typewriter, a ladder and Moka coffee machne, or a model of the Square Colosseum and some books. The simplicity of these objects, the materials and colours have a meaning that is only relative to my perception, that someway blending in and standing out at the same time with a general conception that we all have of them.

Barbizon is an innovative and sustainable concept. Originated from AEMSEN’s vision that cities need healthy buildings. The concept has been developed for the redevelopment of the lots on the Barbizonlaan in Capelle aan den IJssel. Based on a future-proof, sustainable and affordable housing project. BARBIZON is a green and modular residential complex, built with prefabricated wooden modules. The 112 apartments in 16 different housing types vary in size from 45 m2 to 120 m2. The factory-built CLT modules are stackable and switchable without additional auxiliary construction. This dry construction method with biobased materials and gas-free apartments provides an attractive ecological residential complex. The project consists of prefabricated cross-glued wooden (CLT) residential modules. The modules are easily adaptable and reusable. Crossed Laminated Timber is fireproof and the indoor climate in the homes is comfortable and healthy. In addition to greenery and biodiversity, the social interaction between the residents also plays a central role in this concept. The shared green outdoor spaces in the form of a green valley are accessible to all residents of the complex via the corridors. By modular design and building with prefabricated CLT modules, the balance between city and nature can be brought back. The symbiosis with nature is further enhanced by integrating greenery and biodiversity into the modular system of facades and roofs. The green valley and the greenhouses at the top of the corridors provide space for good social interaction between the future happy and proud residents of the complex.

AMMAN: DUNES AND SAND FOR A NEW MARKET
Architecture design studio project Rhino + Cinema 4D + Corona Render
Situated in one of the oldest part of Amman, Jordan: the new Park and Market are inspired by the dunes of the desert, inside and outside. This project aims to reinvent the market place, giving to the city a new civic heart. By offering an alternative to the globalised one-size-fits-all shopping mall it offers a distinctive modern interpretation of the relationship between light and dark, the traditional souk and the Petra’s siq. Like the traditional souk, these different experiences are brought together in an interior architecture of dappled sunlight, bright colours, with a changing rhythm of squares, courtyards and alley ways. The project comprises a combination of walls - forming a new public park outside - that divide the differents shops of the market, with an underground parking. The cluster of walls creates a striking new urban landmark, situated between Al Hussein Cultural Center and the Greater Amman Municipality. The underground market is an intimate sequence of streets and alleys, with flexible sliding roofs and walls to enable control of internal environments, to maximise potential for natural ventilation and to recreate the ambiance of the traditional souk. Moreover, the building density of Amman and its different topographical levels influence the project, which wants to guarantee a silent refuge, like an oasis in the chaos of the city.

MASTER THESIS PROJECT
Las tres chimeneas: Interactive playgrounds and architecture in Barcelona
The growth of cities during the twentieth century generated urban explosion processes that gave rise to large and vast metropolitan regions. That old distinction between city and territory breaks today to observe a discontinuous urbanized territory and an intermittent landscape that hybridizes urban uses with agricultural and natural pre-existences. On the Mediterranean coast, between Barcelona and Badalona lies the last kilometer of non-urbanized coast, within the urban continuum between Sitges and Mataró: Sant Adrià de Besòs, the residence of a unique and iconic building. The old thermo-electric power station, known as “Las tres chimeneas”, commissioned by General Franco in the early 70s. It represents the highest building in Catalonia (200 M)that insists on the banks of the Besòs delta, the current metropolitan green corridor. The harmony of the whole is visible from miles away and brings to the Adriatic coast an originality to highlight and enhance in all its aspects. The thesis project tests a method of design into a large project of regeneration in the area of the ex-thermal power plant as well as the surrounding industrial area, giving main focus to the re-development of the waterfront. How a preexisting abandon area can be transformed into a new architectural reference point, become a crucial element of potential urban connection, create an accesible landscape and a new network node.
