Perhaps you sent a lovely card, Or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, If so, we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, As any friends could say, Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts, We thank you so much- whatever your part.
The Harper family would like to express their deepest thanks for the visits, calls, food, flowers and whatever you did to help us in the time of our grief. May God bless each and every one of you.

“A Mother’s Love”
No one can compare to that of a Mother Caring, devoted – there is no other. A love so divine, you really truly cared Unselfishly, you gave, Your kindness, you shared. We love you dearly, one and all When we needed you near, You heard our call.
You were a song in the midst of our heart, Now today we grieve as you now depart. Your memories will forever linger on We know you’ll never Leave us here all alone. You are forever with God up above, We will forever cherish
Our Dear Mother’s Love
If Roses grow in Heaven
Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.

Valeria Harper
Valeria Harper was born on October 27, 1957, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Annie Clifton and Otis Stafford. She received her formal education at Decatur High School in Georgia, where she was a member of the band and enjoyed playing the clarinet. Valeria was married to her devoted husband, William A. Harper (affectionately known as "Ant"), for 44 years. Together, they raised their loving daughter, Jacque Walker-Green.
Valeria was a hardworking woman with a strong work ethic. After graduating high school, she worked as a model for Pete Buckley’s Company magazine. She was employed for many years as a cook at The Jewish Home in Atlanta, Georgia. After moving to Lithonia, she worked at Marshall’s Distribution Warehouse where she dedicated over 30 years of service.
Valeria was a member of First Saint Paul AME Church in Lithonia, where she served as a choir member and usher. She also invested her time in her catering business, where she was the primary cook. Known for her willingness to help anyone in need, Valeria’s favorite saying was, "I gotcha!"
Valeria, affectionately known by many as “Babysister, Dink, Tune, BFF, Val, and Godmommy,” leaves behind cherished memories with her husband, William "Ant" Harper, and his siblings and their families; her daughter and son-in-law, Jacque "Blacklegs" Walker-Green and Adrian Green; her three grandsons, Ja’Quan "Quan" Harper (and his wife Briana), Tra’Zon "Tigger" Smith (and his girlfriend Jada), and Adrian "Toonk" Green; two granddaughters, Jasmine "BFF" Green and Quantia "Tia" Green; and two great-grandchildren, Marley "MarPooh" Harper and Elijah "Lijah" Lanier. She is also survived by her two brothers, Henry Blackwell (and his wife Donna), Ben Blackwell (and his wife Emma), and reunited with her brother Larry D. Stafford; two surviving aunts, Nellie Martin and Emma Dunnaville; honorary daughters, Vassar "Gabbie" Blackwell, Donita "Rochelle" Blackwell-Carter, and Goddaughter LaTerrea MaHer. She is also survived by her bonus children: Amanda Stafford, Torrian and Caiden Percy, and James and Keisha Buchanan, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Marshall’s family.
Valeria will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Prayer For My Mom
My dear sweet heavenly father, I come to you today with faith and hope; I ask, send an angel Mama's way. I know her time is near and soon you'll take her home to stroll across the streets of gold where other angels roam. It's hard to watch her suffer and slowly fade away. Help me, God, to understand; give me strength, I pray. She means so much to all of us; forgive me for my fears. Life will never be the same without her presence here. My mother is my angel; she taught me how to love and told me about you, Lord, and heaven up above. When she crosses over and steps into the light, tell her that I love her and when the time is right, meet me at the pearly gates where everything's brand new. We'll walk across God's meadow lands where skies are always blue. Somewhere beyond the sunset every now and then, I pray she watches over me until we meet again.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
