Political Parties
Student Political Parties are always an important part of school. This year B-United, Freedom, and Fresh Party were the competitors. After a hard campaigning, President and Vice-President of each party confronted in a debate. After the voting process, students and teachers elected B-United, with Kaori Fonseca as President and Yaidzu Nakashima as Vice-President to represent school. The event helps students learning how to cope with pressure, stage panic and team work.

Mexican food was all around the place. Parents, students, and teachers enjoyed “pozole”, “sopes”, and “flautas” among others. It was a spicy day filled with fun. After this, we are loolking forward to the “Feria Gastronómica”, where food from around the world will be cooked for the whole school!
A tribute to British Music!
12/04/2012 Foro de Arte y Cultura Guadalajara, Jal.
One of the most awaited events during December is the “Christmas Show”. This year was not the exception as Jefferson School decided to pay tribute to music from the 2012 Olympic country.
The show opened with an enormous UK flag and for about 90 minutes the audience enjoyed the performance of each group. Different choreographies to different music lead the event to its climax. The dance group performed a Spice Girls Medley, closing the ceremony to the beat of “Spice up your life”. (Head picture)
Pictures from each performance can be seen in the school’s Page 6
facebook page (Jefferson School GDL). Next year will be full of artistic moments as well, when students get the opportunity to take part in the traditional “Talent Show” that takes place on February during the Cultural Month celebrations. Middle school students will also present the “Noche Literaria,” a performance where acting, singing, and dancing enhances the event.

Parents and students celebrated the principal’s birthday giving her a big surprise at 12:30pm. The whole school sang “Happy Birthday” before giving her a pair of gifts. The principal could not hide her excitement and said a brief thankful speech. “One of the best things is seeing you smile,” she concluded. To close the event, parents gave an appetizer to each student.
