Love and kindness present in the bosom of his folks have fostered the so much needed ingenuity, creativity, and attention to details in the future-to-be architect. The cuisine he grew up with, (yes, he is a passionate gourmet cook) the literature he was exposed to, the textile design, painting, and drawing he was gently guided towards have somehow been ingrained in his mind.

When someone says he was born in Tuscany, one of Italy’s most beloved regions, immediately your mind is envisioning the lush countryside reminiscent of the landscapes of Renaissance masterpieces, a complex and rich artistic heritage including exquisite architecture, fantastic art, a glorious history, delicious food and, yes, of course, last but not least, excellent wines like Brunello di Montalcino and Sassicaia. Pierluigi Bonvicini has seen the light of this world in the joyful heart and soul of the ancient Etruscan civilization. For as long as he has been able to remember, the blue-green Apennines and the turquoise Tyrrhenian Sea have grown to be choices of the colorful palette he has used over the years in his modern architecture. The olive groves, vineyards, green woods, beautiful old farmhouses, all part of a unique landscape that seems to have been carefully carved, tended, and passed down from one generation to another since the dawn of time, have left melodic traces in Pierluigi’s soul. The cultural roots and his family lineage played an important role in his existence. Being together with his parents and his siblings, even in the most usual situations like seating down for a meal or taking a long road trip together, found a place in his heart, more treasured now with the passing of time. 10 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

A graduate of the School of Architecture at the University of Florence, Pierluigi has used Tuscany as a refuge for the spirit as well as for the mind’s rambles or for just pure life’s contemplation. The castles and countryside churches have formed his eye for righteous proportion, detailed executions, and intrinsic creation. Architecture has been the gateway of his soul, the mirror of his unique individualistic self, and the direct reflection of world’s societies seen through the lenses of perceptions and emotional needs. He believes that architecture is an ever evolving, experimental, and multifaceted discipline. A student at heart, he has been deeply interested in history, philosophy, and psychology, and he has assembled a vast historical library of books, documents, paintings and artifacts pertaining to the work of Thomas Jefferson and the American independence, as well as General Giuseppe Garibaldi and the unification of Italy in the eighteen hundreds. As an architect he is not interested in style “per se,” but in the processes of comprehension and resolution that allow to develop and to implement adequate and possibly ideal solutions to any raised issues. To him “form follows function,” where function also embraces all the intangible undertones that are essential to people’s psychological and emotional well-being. Pierluigi Bonvicini came to the United States in the mid-eighties pursuing his interest in the modern American architectural movement. He taught design at the Schools of Architecture of Cal Poly Pomona and USC (University of Southern California); he also wrote the first biography ever published on architect John Lautner entitled, “John Lautner - Architettura Organico Sperimentale,” numerous essays for the magazine “L’architettura” and he recently delivered two lectures on the subject of art and architecture entitled “The Medici’s and Architecture” and “Art and Architecture: Workings of the Mind from Renaissance to Modern Times” at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. Philosophy, history, science, anthropology, religion have been a constant fascination to him, to the extent that a literary salon called “Windemere’s Cenacolo” hosting inspiring guest speakers, is held regularly at his home.

The writings that have always been most appealing to Pierluigi are biographies and books that imply some sort of psychological and emotional exploration. Julius Caesar, a man of extreme brilliance and intuition, unparalleled in complexity and courage, with his book Gallic Wars; Hermann Hesse, the author of Narcissus and Goldmund, Siddhartha, Demian with their characters’ underlying struggle between light and dark, have deeply inspired him, not just in a personal way but also in his architectural work. Exploring contrasting and often times opposing realms such as compressed and expanded, gentle and rough, intimate and public, he strives in his design work to mediate a suitable balance allowing all the multifaceted characters of a space or an object to manifest themselves. Along the same metaphorical lines, a dichotomy in itself, his last read, The Kindness of the Hangman by Dr. Henry Oster, a personal story of survival during the horrific times of the Jewish Holocaust, has moved him deeply, proving the idea that hope and the joie de vivre can be the torches of humanity, no matter how stringent the conditions of survival are. Considering himself an explorer and even an adventurer, his quests have been widely ranged, starting with the basic existential questions: “What is life all about? Who are we? Why are we here? What gives meaning and purpose to our experiences?” Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken” has been tested in Pierluigi’s personal and professional life when he came to America following an interest he had in Frank Lloyd Wright’s so-called “Organic Architecture” and, in general, in the Modern Movement. But, eventually, he grew out of them. “A strong philosophy or design approach tends to become limiting and somewhat stifle down the line when all the parameters seem to be changing,” asserts the renowned architect. As an explorer, he likes to deal with each situation from within and see where it may lead him. Selecting a shade becomes a direct result of this process. The colors he loves the most are the deep pastel colors of Michelangelo’s combinations like blue and terra cotta, yellow ochre and lavender, aqua marine and green, light peach and gray. The American culture gave Pierluigi the unique opportunity for personal and intellectual freedom, the possibility of looking at new situations and ideas in fresh and limitless ways. This mental attitude, combined with the

14 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

intricate heritage of his Italian DNA, has proven to be an exquisite concoction. Brave, ingenious, disciplined, and still holding on to a thick Italian accent and Italian ways, due to the many Italian companies he has worked for on a daily basis, he is a proud American citizen and maintains a strong foothold in each continent. As a result of his professional standing and involvement with the high-end fashion industry, in 2013, he was knighted by Italian President Giorgio Napoletano with the prestigious title “Cavaliere della Repubblica Italiana.” The love for style has found deep roots in the iconic residences he designed on the West Coast, in areas such as: Bel-Air, Hollywood, Palm Desert, Pasadena, Beverly Hills, and Laguna Beach. Specialized also in retail design and implementation of retail projects, Pierluigi has worked in association with the concept designers of some of the most prestigious retail brands such as Bally, Rolex, Versace, MaxMara, Brioni, Dolce & Gabbana, LaPerla and Moncler. Through the years he has realized many flagship stores in the most exclusive destinations across the US such as Rodeo Drive, Madison Ave, Bal Harbour, Kalakawa Ave. Being a motorsports aficionado at heart, he got a flying license at the age of thirty. He has enjoyed go-kart racing, tennis and golf, and recently he picked up spear fishing with his older son Luca. The flair for sports has given him the chance to design automotive showrooms across the US. He was recently appointed Design Director for the Italian brand Pirelli in the U.S. Both style and speed found their seats in the Italian architect’s cuore, but when asked to pick between the two of them, he asserted: “speed has plenty of style in it. Style by itself sounds to me a bit cliché and perhaps outdated.” In a rapidly paced walk, leaning a bit in front like a true Aries that he is, Pierluigi has always had a sense of navigation, finding new routes and new destinations. The olive trees have been long time exchanged for the palm trees and the Tuscany’s sun for the So Cal’s one. The tides have been up, and the salty air has been invigorating his charismatic smile. In the distance, overlooking the cliffs of the Southern California coastline, Pierluigi can clearly distinguish one of the many residences he designed.

Passing the exam to become a licensed architect in California feels like it just happened yesterday. That joy has been only equaled when he has flown over the Santa Monica airport, after getting his pilot license. Those two accomplishments are big for his personal life, but his legacy consists in all the amazing architecture sprinkled in residential and commercial venues throughout the US. The pioneer spirit has proven, after all, to be invincible. Pierluigi holds strong hopes and confidence in the future welfare of humanity, but he is deeply concerned with the state of affairs of our present times, as it is the meek and most vulnerable who inevitably endure the burden caused by the greed and misjudgment of the powerful. Through the years, he has been sponsoring nonprofit organizations such as “The Friendship Shelter of Laguna Beach,” helping out homeless people; the Smile Train and The Covenant House (run away children). Today Pierluigi considers himself at the very beginning of a new chapter in life. It is a very exciting time for him, for he is old enough to know the game and young enough to be able to play it. The best has yet to come! Or, maybe, to quote Giuseppe Garibaldi, the Italian general and politician and one of his heroes, “We shall meet again before long to march to new triumphs.” Article by Aura Imbarus, Ph.D. Photography by (Artin Mardirosian) with Artiphics Location P Zero World Beverly Hills, CA Special thanks to Claus Ettensberger CEO of PZ World and CEC

VULNERABILITY by TARA-JENELLE WALSCH www.soulcourage.com

21 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

You may have heard it said that vulnerability is the new power. I’m not particularly a fan of the word power, but I would definitely agree that vulnerability is powerful. And when it’s shared authentically (versus being used to gain something), the end result is extremely powerful. If I could sing a message from the mountaintop for everyone to hear, I would say: ”Vulnerability is Freedom! Vulnerability is the Way.” By ‘being vulnerable’ I’m not suggesting that you wear your heart on your sleeve and reveal your deepest thoughts and emotions to everyone who crosses your path, or that you cry at any given moment, sharing your personal feelings through mini-breakdowns. Vulnerability is not an invitation to ‘lose it’ at will, but rather, to find it. Find your true and authentic self. Find it, feel it, and be softly grounded in the expression of it. It would be a mistake to assume that being vulnerable is the same as being emotionally unstable. Being emotionally unstable means that you are unsteady and wavering in your feelings, and that a minor occurrence could trigger an inappropriate response involving extreme emotions. Vulnerability, on the other hand, broadly means being emotionally accessible, unguarded, unprotected with others and yourself. The act of feeling, itself, is classified as being vulnerable because as we discussed before, we don’t know where our feelings are going take us. A daily example of low-level vulnerability is how many of us feel when we ask questions. Even a simple question, such as: “Do you know how to get to the post office?” The very asking of any question announces to all that we do not have the answer ourselves. This can make some people feel vulnerable (some men, in particular, can find it

difficult to even stop a car to ask for directions). When others ask me how they can become vulnerable, they’re frequently surprised by my answer. “You’re being vulnerable right now by asking the question,” I reply, then remind them with a smile: “You are always vulnerable. That’s your natural state of being. It’s part of who you are with every breath you take.” You may not think of yourself this way—probably because it makes you feel vulnerable to think of yourself this way! Yet the fact is that life itself is unpredictable and uncertain, even as we rely on it to be there. Every night we set our alarm with the expectation that life will greet us the next day. The very fact that we rely on the unknown makes us all vulnerable at some level. Unconsciously and at a very deep level we have befriended uncertainty, and we continue to live with the unknown every.single.day. I’d say that keeps vulnerability flowing through our veins, for sure. That being said, it’s still uncomfortable for most people to even wrap their mind around the concept that they would benefit from deliberately allowing themselves to be vulnerable. They get uneasy at the thought of it and begin to challenge the idea. It takes a lot of courage and awareness to let your guard down and drop into vulnerability. Interestingly enough, though, we’ve been told the exact opposite for decades: that being vulnerable is not a mark of courage, but is a sign of being weak, pathetic and child-like. We’ve been told that to be successful, respected, seen and heard (and even sexy), our demeanor must be confident, stoic and even a bit arrogant. This has led to some of us feeling that we actually need to be pre-

22 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

tentious, maintaining a facade that produces the impression that we’re extremely capable in every situation. We’ve been taught that the way to do this is to hide our feelings as they arise and “fake it ‘til you make it,” acting as if we are calm, cool and have everything under control at all times. And guess what? Everything has been “under control.” From the time we were toddlers all the way through adulthood many of us have learned to control every feeling our hearts have experienced that was either too high or too low, so that they would appear nice and even to our “audience.” Somewhere along the way humanity learned to value those who hide their true selves, and we’ve been passing that value system down generation after generation. We thought we were teaching our offspring something good when, in fact, we’ve had it all backward. The more open and real we are with others and ourselves, the more we reflect genuine confidence and self-assurance. Pretending that we’re something we are not is what makes us truly look child-like, if not downright cowardly. But when we understand that vulnerability is the natural state of every human being, we can let go of our need to hide this aspect of ourselves. Then the question switches from how to become more vulnerable, to what relationship we have with our vulnerability. And, more importantly, is that relationship supporting our highest good? Many of us probably haven’t ever thought about having a relationship with ourselves, much less having a relationship with individual aspects of ourselves—and we’ve surely never thought about what kind of relationship we have with each aspect, such as our vulnerability. Yet taking a closer look at yourself in this way often in stills a sense of compassion for all

aspects of ‘you’—and ultimately bridge sinto a deeper understanding of yourself. Identifying what relationship we have with vulnerability also allows us to determine if that relationship itself is encouraging our vulnerability to live openly and abundantly in our life—which we want, because that will reawaken even greater vulnerability in ourselves. Discovering Your Relationship with Vulnerability The quickest way to discover what relationship you have with vulnerability (as well as any other individual aspect of yourself ) is to take note of how you feel when you’re experiencing vulnerability. Having been vulnerable enough to express your feeling in a truthful way, do you feel positive in the aftermath, or do you wish you had never done it? Are you angry? Do you feel exposed and frightened? Are you embarrassed, ashamed, or disgusted? Do you feel relieved, free and open? This feeling, whatever it is, will reveal to you how it is that you relate to vulnerability deep inside, ultimately defining the relationship that you have created with vulnerability thus far. Should you discover that your relationship with vulnerability is inhibiting in some way, this process provides an opportunity to recreate that relationship so that you not only feel safe with it, but also are proud of it. So how, where do you start? Well, you’ll be relieved to know that you’ve already started. That’s right. Years and years ago. We’re all delivered to life as vulnerable beings at birth. No doubt that is why babies are so appealing to us because they are pure vulnerability. But the relationship we have with vulnerability changes through the years. We start off being wide open and slowly shift, putting defenses into place in reaction to our personal ex-

periences as we were taught (by others and life itself ) what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, what is ‘good’ and ‘bad.’ Yet as much as we’ve shifted and changed through the years, some degree of vulnerability still exists in everyone. It will always exist in us, which is a good thing, because it’s a key to our humanity itself. Without at least a little bit of vulnerability we would all be robots, like the character “Data” in Star Trek, unable to feel anything about anything. If you find that your present relationship with vulnerability doesn’t usually make you happy, yet deliberately choose to feel vulnerable in spite of that, you are consciously saying to yourself that what your vulnerability revealed to you, or others about you, is nothing to be afraid of, ashamed of, or embarrassed about. You’ve taken the power away from the thought that those emotions can hurt you in some way. Used in this way, the process of consciously choosing vulnerability empowers you, rather than making you feel as if you were a victim of having had a vulnerable moment. You will watch as you eagerly peel back the layers of protection under which your vulnerability had been hiding, and intentionally make it as big and natural a part of your experience as it was when you were young. This transition from being hesitant to be vulnerable, to being eager to be vulnerable will utterly transform you, and will forever alter your relationship with others for the better. The Hidden Gift of Vulnerability When vulnerability is experienced as an adult, you will see that, in actuality, you are invulnerable. The intentional act of you telling, living, and speaking your truth renders you free from feeling that you have to protect yourself from being really seen and really known. And freedom from the need

for protection is the definition of invulnerability. The more you relax into vulnerability and become comfortable functioning from that place, the more you’ll realize this. You will then begin to experience yourself in a new way, and enjoy living in such a genuine place that it will almost feel as if you’ve come out of hiding. Before you know it, you won’t be picking and choosing times to “be” vulnerable, rather, you’ll be operating from a place that is always vulnerable, on purpose. This will heighten your overall awareness, showing you clearly how often you rejected yourself in the past by reaching for a distraction or protective cloak. When you know that distractions and protections are no longer needed the tide will have turned. Now vulnerability will feel like home, and all of those exhausting masks, which you thought brought you the comfort of protection, will actually be uncomfortable. A small caution: As you find yourself living with vulnerability on a more consistent basis, it’s possible that you may initially feel as if your mind is betraying you by dispensing with its safety mechanisms and opting for selfexposure. But don’t be fooled…this is really a magic moment, a soul kiss, as you realize that it’s the exact opposite. Now you’ve become so comfortable being vulnerable that you don’t even feel vulnerable. And—to make the point again—you aren’t. You are invulnerable, unable to be coaxed back over to the other side where you thought you needed to protect yourself. Uninhibited, emotionally. You’ll feel impenetrable—because you’ve revealed your true self and your true feelings on your own, before being “found out” by others, and you now express your truth willingly.

23 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

Feeling Your Way Back Into Invulnerability Now that you know how to identify what relationship you have with your vulnerability and why to open to full vulnerability once again, let’s look at how. There are two ways to experience the hidden gift of vulnerability: 1. Be reactive and wait for life to show it to you (the hard way) 2. Be proactive and reveal it to yourself (can be unnerving, but isn’t hard) Most people choose number one without thinking about it, mainly because they haven’t thought about it. They're living life by rote, due to their lack of awareness of the hidden gift of vulnerability, or to their uneasiness about the whole topic, which has produced a lack of interest. Yet you are reading this right now, so I suspect that you’re ready to be proactive in turning vulnerability into invulnerability. Actually, it will reveal itself to you. Sometimes when we’re trying to get to a place of vulnerability we don’t know where to start. Here are some tools that can be helpful in starting to build enough vulnerability to experience oneself as being invulnerable: Trust, Intuition, Ego, and Authenticity. Trust Being vulnerable calls on us to trust. Trust that we’ll be ok if we allow ourselves to be vulnerable. But here we face a Catch 22: You can’t get there without going there, yet you must trust that going there will get you there. The quickest way to get there? No surprise...Soul Courage. Your Soul is always grounded behindthe-scenes, knowing and believing in the totality of who you are, and offering complete and utter support, aware that you cannot be hurt or damaged in any way. This experience of deep peace,

expanded knowing and eternal safety is what arises through teaming up with your Soul, which moves you seamlessly into trust. By trusting in this process you are affirming your Soul’s existence, which is honors your Self at the highest level. Your Soul will never leave you, it cannot leave you. Not because it doesn't have a choice, but because you are its choice. It chose you. It is you. You and your Soul are one. When you are deeply aware of yourself you will know this to be true, and you will forever trust yourself to be vulnerable. By mentally taking the idea of trusting yourself and seeing it as an accomplishment when you do, it will not only come more naturally, but also empower you by creating the ambition to do it more often. Intuition Another tool that helps us to move into vulnerability comfortably is our intuition. So often we look outside ourselves for guidance and protection, when all the while we carry it within. Our innate sense of knowing is deeply underrated, and that is why we don’t trust it. Ironically, though, the most trustworthy way to build vulnerability is through that innate sense of knowing. The reason that we don’t always trust our intuition is that we don’t fully understand it, and our lack of understanding around it decreases our faith in it. In fact, many people don’t really believe it exists at all. But it does. And you know this, intuitively. We’ve all had the experience of a strong hunch, a gut reaction or natural instinct—a surge of knowingness that expands past our ordinary thoughts. Maybe we get goose bumps to alert us, a twisted tummy, or tingle in our chest. Whatever the sign, it produces an inexplicable feeling that resonates

24 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

with us beyond our mind, into our body, having emerged from our Soul. Intuition, like Soul Courage, is with us all of the time. Mostly, though, we wait until we need it before we begin to look for it. And interestingly enough, we put our fate in the hands of others first, draining resources such as family, friends, the Internet, even psychics—then lastly crawling back to the most reliable resource for our life, us, and resorting to going within for the direction we seek. It’s been said that we can “tap into” our intuition, which is another way of saying that we can bring it forth upon command. This idea implies that our intuition is with us all of the time and that we can pick and choose when to “use” it. But if it were with us all the time, why wouldn’t we desire to live with it and through it, rather than wait until we need it, to call it forth? Presumably because, as mentioned above, we don’t fully understand it, therefore we don’t hold that as a real option. I looked up the definition of intuition and literally chuckled out loud when I read some of the explanations. Intuition: {in-too-ish-uh, n} noun “A natural ability or power that makes it possible to know something without any proof or evidence.” - Merriam-Webster “A phenomenon of the mind; the ability to acquire knowledge without inference or the use of reason.” – Wikipedia What I found amusing about these definitions is that they seem to suggest that our intuition is a phenomenon or unique ability. Yet it’s not about tapping into your higher powers or “channeling” information from another entity. Those things would all suggest that there’s distance and separation between you and your intuition…

and there is not. The actual name itself, in-tuition, carries the clear and irrefutable inference that we are receiving our very own teachings from deep within: Our inner schooling. But what is schooling us from inside? There’s no denying that something continues to propel us to take one direction over the other. In fact, that’s even how we describe things to friends when they ask what prompted our decision. We say, “I can’t explain. Something just told me to do it!” My hunch is that “this something” is us. Not our Body, not our Mind, not even our Spirit, but rather the fusion of all three: our Soul. If this were true, then when we’re trusting and following our intuition, we are, in fact, listening to our Soul. Vulnerability and the Ego As previously discussed, the challenge for so many people around vulnerability and trust is letting go of the way they think they are “supposed” to be. Letting go of worry around what they may look like if they actually reveal the inside of themselves. Letting go of concern around what others think about them. Confronting Ego. Ego is a natural part of who we are, a part of our overall mind that is neither something to be ashamed of nor try to rid ourselves of. In fact, it plays a very important role in how we navigate life and ultimately experience our True Self. Although it sounds totally villainess upon first reflection, the ego’s main job of seducing us into believing that we are separate from one another actually has a beneficial purpose. In order to feel and experience the joy of oneness (which is our natural state and the Ultimate Reality), ego steps in to create the illusion that we are separate, thus providing us with a platform upon which we can create and express our

individuality. With this illusion of separateness firmly embraced, we are able to distinguish differences and opposites—in contrast to which our individuality may be expressed and experienced. Our True Self (Soul) is one step ahead of our ego (of course), and knows that there’s no such thing as separation. The challenge is that while the Soul knows this, it does not have the actual experience of oneness, and this is the very experience it sought when it embraced physicality—a point made at the outset of this book. There it was said that the Soul cannot feel oneness outside the physical, because it has known nothing outside the physical but oneness. The illusion of separation—which is possible only in the physical—allows the Soul to experience, and not just “know,” the opposite of separation. If the illusion of separation were not part of our physical life, the state of being eternally one would not be able to be experienced. The ego’s job is to ignite your desire to be the highest version of yourself (that which is one with everyone), but when the mind isn’t listening to the Soul, it doesn’t understand what the Soul is doing. Ego all by itself certainly doesn’t know—it’s just an energy trying to get you where you want to go. And them can’t understand what the ego is doing if the mind isn’t listening to the Soul about what it is using the ego to do— and, most important, about Who You Really Are. The danger of our ego is that somewhere along the way in our life it begins to think so highly of itself that it creates an identity of its own. It starts to disregard the Body and the Mind and the Soul—all three, thinking that it knows what's best for us. At almost any point in time you can find ego sitting in the peanut gallery of the mind, trying to seduce us into

ideas of not just separation, but superiority, which must then seek self-protection and express righteousness. And the idea of our superiority is so seductive that, if we're not careful, we might inadvertently hand over the reins to ego and forget who we really are (one with everyone—and so, not superior at all). Here’s where everything ties together: The more we are in a place of invulnerability, the shorter the leash is on ego. This gives it enough elbowroom to do its job, but not excessive slack for it to run amok. When we have become so comfortable with vulnerability that we are invulnerable, this invulnerability takes the power away from ego that’s gotten out-of-control. Mind Chatter Like a little monkey on a scooter peeling corners around the back of our mind, our thoughts often create “mind chatter.” It can take us to places where we never dreamed we’d go. And, it can impede our efforts to produce or experience invulnerability, talking us right out of it if we aren’t careful. Notice, though, that when you actually stop and become aware of this chatter, it seems to drop away. Falls right off the bone. Right there is the golden moment (another soul kiss) when the “monkey mind” has left, opening the space for far more wonderful input from your Soul. There, in that moment, floats a pocket of silence in your mind. To feel this sensation, this gift, relish these golden moments when they surface by feeling into the silence and past its seemingly empty space, instead of quickly filling the pockets of silence with anything to comfort the uncomfortable. This is where the freedom to open to your highest thoughts lives. The more often you feel into the silence, the more aware you will become

25 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

of how often the ongoing white noise of the mind chatter is running behind the scenes, and the more you will want it to go away, so that you can spend time with “you.”

comfortable with your Self. The more comfortable you become with your Self, the more it becomes a part of how you project your Self outwardly to the world.

Authenticity Being authentic is the largest aspect of vulnerability—and, in fact, one of the largest aspects of life and true living. The only way that we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable, even in the slightest bit, is if we are completely authentic with ourselves first. It’s not possible to be vulnerable without being authentic, and it’s not possible to be authentic without being vulnerable; one cannot exist without the other. Even when we are alone—we can’t actually feel vulnerable unless we are being truly genuine with ourselves.

But how do you get that comfortable with yourself? Sure, maybe when you're completely alone and relaxed, you're comfortable with who you are. This may be true even when you’re around your family (although for many people that's not even a “given” most of the time). Yet how are we to magically produce a feeling of great comfort “on demand” when others are around? To become comfortable in your skin, you should be familiar with the skin that you want to be comfortable in, which means you should have an good idea of every aspect of your personality, yours likes and dislikes, your desires and goals—everything about you that is important and feels like your genuine self.

The more time goes by, the more it becomes apparent that embracing our authenticity is a prerequisite for ultimate self-discovery and inner growth. If we can’t be real with ourselves, how can we possibly feel comfortable enough to suddenly show up in our purest form with others—let alone with complete strangers? When we let our guard down and reveal our authentic nature with others, it’s like handing them a gift. Being authentic in the presence of others is like an energetic invitation for others to meet you at the same vibrational level. It’s not that you are giving other people permission to “come out” from behind any cloak they may have on, you are energetically encouraging their authenticity from the start so that they don’t even have the desire to put on a cloak. Getting Comfortable in your own Skin The best way to move into authenticity with ease is to roll up your sleeves and get comfortable in your own skin. No one even has to be around for this to start, it’s just about you being

You may have already done some past reflection of your own and feel pretty solid in knowing who you are, with a good sense of your personal energy. Now it's time to own that. Hold that so securely as your own that it’s yours to call on wherever and whenever you want. While you’re at it, don’t take yourself too seriously. Seriously, don't do it. There’s just no reason to. As adults we certainly have to take care of serious matters and act accordingly, but if we allow the weight of seriousness to conduct our livelihood we’re robbing ourselves and others of the luxury of lightheartedness, and slowly stripping joy from our spirit. All of which ages us emotionally, spiritually and, yes, even physically, by the way. It also keeps others at a distance by nonverbally conveying that they need to “stay in line” when they are in our company. Objectively, it could be argued that

someone who is overly serious is operating with an unconscious desire to be seen as important, smart, special, in charge, etc. Conversely, it might be said that someone who is always joking around and acting out, has a subconscious, underlying desire to be seen as funny, different, clever, special etc. Either one, when out of balance, becomes a cloak at some level and keeps others at arm’s length, which is far from being comfortable in your skin. One of the goals is to find the “genuine” in ourselves again, and then to feel comfortable sharing that with others and ourselves.

In the ancient Egyptian Mystery Schools, I taught you about the emotional body and its connection to your spiritual body and ascension. All creation either evolves or devolves. You are once again in a cycle of the waking up of consciousness. Therefore it is time to move forward, in love and trust. Come out of your little minds and heads into the realm of your heartfelt states of being. In other words, open the “Parachute of the Heart.” Dealing with feeling, your feelings, is best done in a safe, preferably protected sacred space and with people and in places where you feel free to open up. All of Earth is sacred. As you know, your attention + intention = manifestation Feeling your feelings requires balance, non-judgment, and wisdom. By invoking the angels and ascended masters, you can allow your emotions (energies in motion) to be expressed and released safely and without the judgment of your mind. As you do this, you become more creative, light, and free to move and participate in life.

HEALING IS FEELING from The Divine Mother Speaks: the Healing of the Human Heart

Awareness is key. Another word for awareness is consciousness. You are creating from your conscious, subconscious, and unconscious minds. To become aware of subconscious and unconscious states, it is essential to meditate, to chant, to be quiet, be in nature, to eat lighter foods, and to know that you know. A very powerful way to heal subconscious and unconscious unhealthy thoughts and patterns is through being initiated into the Reiki and SKHM systems. Another very powerful and simple way is to reprogram the unconscious and subconscious through connecting to a good hypnotherapist. I cannot emphasize the importance of awareness in your life enough as you move through changing times, systems, and structures of your reality. Emotions like anger can be safely and appropriately released without causing harm to self and others through dancing, painting, writing, or even using a pillow. Unless you clear your emotional body and safely release suppressed and repressed emotions that you judge as being bad, there is no healing. The word healing means “making whole and complete” as the wise Native American people knew. Everything in the universe goes in a circle. Your manifest reality is made of sacred spirals of energy. The seasons go in a circle and the planets orbit in a circle. In fact the illusion of the circle is a spiral with everything changing and either going upward or descending through the spirals.

In healing you are stepping onto an upward spiral with all obsolete (energies) being transmuted to the higher frequencies as you ascend. Nothing is ever destroyed, but merely transformed or rearranged. When we let go of thoughts, the energies holding the thoughts are transformed to new ideas and paradigms.

Healing is about taking responsibility and letting go of blame and shame. Remember that in your reality everything is a mirror. In Egypt we call it “the Mirror of Hathor.” Instead of trying to fix the problem from the outside, go to the root (your inner reality) and examine how you feel, think, or perceive the issue.

As the Course In Miracles says, everything is either love or fear, and fear is the absence of love. Stress is nothing but fear. You, my children, have become attached to your stresses as an art form! However, you are beginning to realize the deadly effects of stress and tension to your mind, to your body, and to your spiritual being.

Healing Healing is definitely not about fixing others. As conscious healers it is important to remember not to force one’s own agenda onto another’s healing process. Sometimes the Mirror shows very traumatic or bizarre realities of the movies of our lives, but no matter how unacceptable the movie is on the mirror, if it is reflecting the screen of your life; it is yours. This may be a subconscious or unconscious co-creation that your mind is unaware of. Own your creations. Breathe, feel, and then choose more consciously what you would like to see yourself attract and manifest into your life.

As you understood in ancient lives in the temple of Isis, the Goddess is about Being. This is the time to become a Human Being and release your attachment to doing, rushing, and busy-ness. Healing is about Being. As the Bible says, “Be Still and Know.” The word Pharaoh means “Being and Becoming.” The pure Pharaohs of ancient Egypt were high level spiritual initiates who brought down to Earth this vibration of pure Beingness for humanity. We will discuss fear in great depth in this book. It is only going through fear and coming out the other side into love that creates magic in your reality. Ultimately fear is an illusion and love cannot be destroyed. The definition of fear is excitement out of time. To release something you have to first understand it and feel it for a moment. Another way to understand fear is as an absence of love. It is time now to come out of the paradigm of “fight or flight” and embrace the new frequencies that are bombarding your reality. Photonic Energy is different from protons, electrons, and neutrons. Photons are pure light beyond time and space. Light is information and a bigger picture of the truth. It is therefore important now for you to question everything so that you can come out of your cozy cubby holes and the limitations of what you think is possible, into using greater and greater parts of your brain, including the right and left hemispheres. Your manifestations are becoming more and more instantaneous. Just to remind you, “As you sow, so shall you reap.” Why not choose Gardens of Eden?

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand. Albert Einstein

30 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e August 2016

From the time you are very young you are taught that an examination of history will reveal a strategy for how to live well. If you conduct thorough research of the past, and collect enough data, you can confidently assert that you have the facts required in order to claim something is true, you have proof. If the majority of people find that a specific definition of truth reinforces their belief system then confirmation bias takes over and history is solidified. But why do you need to know the truth in the first place? Throughout history, it is apparent that people seem to need to believe that their story is the one true story and are unable to accept that a story might be a fiction and that the very tradition of historical scholarship does not reveal an eternal truth but the psychological needs of people at a particular moment in history with their own point to prove, or belief to reinforce. Historical narratives do not reveal any one clear direction or any final goal. But still you persist. You try to pin everything down in order to gain some sort of elusive and definitive understanding of how you are to live your lives. You think that if you find this answer, your life will become easier, happier and more satisfying. Most of you believe that when you get what you desire that you are lucky. It is only luck if you do not understand how the universe operates. You will create the life you believe you deserve. If you feel you only deserve little, you will experience little, whereas if you have the expectation that life is abundant and you deserve the best, than the best is what you will experience. It all depends on the direction you choose, where you decide to focus your awareness. When Moses roamed the desert for forty years his followers were concerned with only having enough food and water to get through the day and believed that tomorrow they would surely be without. It was this concern that kept them lost. It wasn’t until they trusted that what they needed would be there for them every day that they found the Promised Land, which was a place of abundance. Liberation can only be found when the feeling of lack is ceased.

There is not one right way to live. The beliefs you hold about life will create the conditions you experience. Consequently, if you are a survivalist you will experience life through a succession of circumstances that you must overcome, conversely, if you believe everything will always work out and do not concern yourself with the details of exactly how it is going to work out, you will experience an easy sense of flow in life. One way of living is not better than the other, just different and you can always choose which you prefer. You inherently have a built in mechanism that moves you in the path of least resistance and because of this you are always searching for an easier way to achieve what it is you desire. With this understanding, going from survival mode to a more relaxed mode allows you to transition easier. If you can look at life as just one big experience like a novel, you realize that every situation and every character makes up that story and there isn’t one character that is more important or less necessary than another. Superman is no better than Lex Luther because without the villain the hero could not fulfill his purpose. Everything that you experience is part of the story of life and from the infinite number of possibilities everyone has their own path to take, their own story to write. So if this is the case, how can you write your story in a fashion of preferential desire? Simple: imagination. When you talk about the imagination you often associate it with the creativity of an artist, whether it be a painter, musician, actor, etc. It is often believed that in order to be an accomplished artist one must have a superior imagination. This implies that there are people that have a limited imagination. Interestingly enough, whatever you believe will become your truth and the consequences of that belief will be witnessed in your world. When examined from the quantum state it becomes clear that an opinion, once professed, will harden into fact until such time when you choose to change your perspective and that fact devolves for another to solidify in its place. Imagination is what enables you to have the physical experience, if in alignment you will make it delightful. Consider the well-known phrase, "Everything that is was once imagined." Imagination is at the core of your existence. Everything you experience was first imagined, or it would not come to fruition. The man living on the street had to first imagine himself doing so and after keeping this image in his thoughts long enough he created a strong belief that it could 32 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

be possible to find himself homeless. Once this belief was solidified he pursued a series of actions based on the idea and the movement toward this determined destination began. The same holds true for the man living in a mansion. Regardless of the direction, the physics work the same. The universe does not discriminate. You imagine negative things when your thoughts are generated from a place of fear and lack. The emotion of fear has a frequency, much like frequency of a radio station. If you adjust the tuner on a radio to the frequency 99.7 you can only receive that particular program, whatever it may be. If you do not prefer that station, you must change the frequency in order to receive something different. You wouldn’t try to reprogram 99.7 you would simply turn the dial to a new frequency. You experience fear when you hold the misunderstanding that you cannot change the station and shift in a new direction. Shifting is automatic, you are always adjusting. At times it might not feel like you are changing because you move to a similar frequency resulting in a similar outcome. When you examine fear you realize it is merely an indicator letting you know that where you are is not where you truly want to be. Facing your fear will help you move in a new direction and you will recognize that you are heading in the right direction when the fear dissipates and you feel a positive emotion such as joy, excitement, anticipation. This is how your inner guidance system works, you ask for the destination and it guides you through your emotions in the same way a GPS works but instead of it telling you to make a right at the next intersection your inner guidance system nudges you with your emotions. Remaining aware of your emotions can make the ride much easier. The next time you experience a negative emotion realize it is telling you that it is time to recalculate. It does not matter how far off course you are it can still get you to your destination without fail, your job is to simply trust in it. When you are fully conscious and aware of your inner self, you are able to create a belief that is in direct alignment with what you desire. This allows the imagination to work as a supportive collaborator as you become immersed in the feeling that results from your positive thoughts and beliefs. Although the physical reality may show no proof, the feelings generated will move you in a direction of your desires. Your actions will automatically align with these beliefs and the journey towards the physical begins.

Beliefs play a significant role. If you truly believe you can achieve what you have imagined you will take actions in the direction of the desire with ease. All beliefs are valid, the thing to ask is are they working conjunction with what you would like to experience, if not, you can transform the belief so it works for you not against you. Again, it is not whether or not the belief is right or wrong but is it in alignment with what is desired. When this concept is understood it becomes evident that all experiences appear about without judgment. Judgment will deny the discovery of the lesson needed to fully understand to get to the place of knowing how this all works. Remember removing characters from the story only confuses the reader it will never make it better. You are constantly telling yourself a story about your life. Some people walk around with a story that tells them they are a victim, that nothing good ever happens to them. Some go through life with a success story, telling themselves that they are lucky and good things come their way. At any moment you can change your story, by changing your beliefs, and when beliefs change, life changes as well. Just like an actor who plays a part they have the ability to fit into a role by changing their concept of themselves. A great actor changes the concept of their character in order to tell the story. Simply believing they are another person allows the imagination to generate a new persona. The reason you marvel over this is because at your core you know that you too can change the concept of your character to one you desire. After all, everything you experience is a fractal of how the universe works. In other words, you always create a reflection of what you already are in order to experience it in the physical world Once fully conscious of a belief it will become clear if the belief is beneficial or detrimental. Think of a belief like a moving vehicle, one that allows you to reach your destination. If you would like to get to Hawaii and your current location is Phoenix but the vehicle you possess is a car it would be nearly impossible to travel to your destination. There is nothing wrong with a car, but it is not beneficial if your goal is to travel across an ocean. The same is true for beliefs. None are inherently wrong, they are just sometimes out of alignment with a desire. So if you truly want to travel to Hawaii you are going to have to choose a different mode of transportation. Look carefully at your own desired destination and examine if you

have beliefs that actually work against accomplishing that goal. Keep in mind that any desire you have in the first place can be experienced or you would not have the ability to imagine it. It is time to transition to another belief when the one you are holding onto is not in sync with your higher self. This is similar to the feeling of eating a large meal. You start out hungry and if you are conscious you will know when your body is satisfied. If you are not conscious, your body will let you know when it is time to stop through the discomfort of overeating. When conscious, you remain balanced through the shift from one belief to another in order to get you to where it is you desire to go. In other words, if you are in Arizona and you believe heading east will get you to San Diego, at some point you will have to change direction to reach your destination. The further you proceed in the opposite direction the more effort it will take to get back in balance. The feeling of effort will keep you out of balance until a complete collapse of your system. This collapse is different for everyone and will also be different for the individual at different moments. As you come to understand this structure of how beliefs work, you will find yourself with beliefs that create an effortless and enjoyable journey. Understand that the belief is the vehicle you utilize to take us to your destination. When you choose the vehicle that is most pleasurable in the moment you know without doubt it will provide the synchronistic journey needed to reach your destination.

The Symbol of the Red Rose by Aura Imbarus, Ph.D.

34 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

The way we have many shades of love, in this world there are many kinds of red roses. The red feather rose buds can bring your loved ones warmth and surprise; half blooming red feather roses can make perfect gifts for mom; half blooming and blooming red feather roses can be given for weddings and anniversaries, birthday and baby gifts, even hospital visits. So, for every occasion, there is a red rose; for every type of love there is a symbol of affection. Got ROSE?

Red: the color of consummation, raging desires and craving passion, the symbol of never-ending love and throbbing heat, a passionate expression of attraction. Red: the symbol of warmth, affection, romance, worship, and obsession. Red: the status of abiding friendliness, purity, and loveliness. Red: the expression of youthful love, innocent and fresh magnetism. Red, my all time favorite color, is universally considered the most passionate color; in combination with the red rose it stands for intense emotions of the heart. Known by the Greeks and Romans, red was always associated with passionate longing. Aphrodite spilled blood onto a white rose to try and help her wounded lover Adonis. Even beautiful Cleopatra used the red rose to carpet her bedroom when she welcomed Antony in the privacy on her own universe. In Christianity, the red rose is a symbol of Jesus' blood and the suffering that he went through during His crucifixion, while in Persia the falling of a rose’s petals that has been cut in an English garden stands for bad luck. In the 18th century, the special red rose became the liaison between two lovers who were ostracized by the cruel society they were living in. The power of the red rose came to link their love and stand the test of time, promising affection that would outlive all obstacles. The red rose also symbolizes courage and power as represented in the War of the Roses. It also expresses respect and appreciation while celebrating the creative spirit of love.

Further Insights into the Mechanics of Flashing Consciousness

by Mohsen Paul Sarfarazi, Ph.D.

Abstract The mechanics of consciousness as pertains to projection of coherent light on a soul has been discussed. It is elucidated that consciousness is discrete in nature and occurs on a quantum scale through flashing of adamantine or akash particles. These particulate units of consciousness flow or convert from antimatter in the ethereal to matter in the physical and vice versa via a purely conservative process that is both cyclic and non-dissipative in terms of energy consumption. It is further explained that this flashing of the light of consciousness is facilitated through black and white holes contained with the conical vortices of our chakras that serve as energetic particle accelerators. The fundamental principle behind the inhaling ‘in’ and exhaling ‘out’ of the antimatter-matter and its reverse process is that it occurs sequentially among various distinct continuums of time and space within separate parallels of dimensional consciousness that define our multidimensionality. These processes occur all spontaneously in the continuous NOW moment without any discernment in our physical consciousness within a particular parallel. Two parameters are envisioned to describe the extent of consciousness within a parallel that, in essence, are indigenous to that particular continuum of time and space within the said particular dimensional reality. These are the ‘light quotient’ that depicts the decay time of consciousness between sequential flashes of light of consciousness, the so-called ‘darkening period,’ and the resonant ‘frequency of vibration’ of that particular parallel dimension. It is envisaged that the notion of multidimensionality within a particular parallel dimension of reality is accentuated as the natural frequency of vibration or light quotient of a soul aspect animating within that parallel is increased. Finally, it is explicated that a crystalline form such as the well anticipated ‘Light Body genetics’ comprised of silicate-based, ordered and coherent, crystalline molecular matter is thought to merge the limited frontal mind with that of the divine God Mind, culminating in expedient consciousness expansion, and refined discernment of multidimensionality. Furthermore, it is clarified that a crystalline form has the advantage of ‘tuning’ the human energy field harmonically to myriads of dimensional fields more effectively, thus reducing the ‘darkening period’ between discrete consecutive flashes of consciousness within a parallel.

The Flashing Consciousness *The Prime Creator has provided humanity and, indeed, all sentient beings with a matrix of consciousness through particulates of light that have been referred to as the ‘akash’ or ‘adamantine’ particles.

*In our present world, in our level of the NOW, we are only beginning to rediscover, explore, and grasp the ‘flashing’ matrix of creation, of what consciousness is, of how our mental processes works, and indeed, how to manipulate this for greater consciousness expansion.

*This process occurs in a ‘flash of time’ and on a quantum scale, to create us as ‘units of consciousness’ of its mega-conscious omnipotence.

*We are constantly doing this on what is termed the unconscious divine level, by learning how to transform our thoughts and our creative emotions into matter and physical reality.

*For us, the universe seems to flash ‘in’ and ‘out,’ pulsating with consecutive sequence of light energy in a frame by frame manner with these ‘consciousness units.’ *This divine light energy is received in our energetic aura, which serves as a storage containment. *Our aura interfaces with the accelerating vortices of our chakras that act as a system of black-white holes to respectively convert the antimatter light energy into more usable electromagnetic light energies in order to be utilized physically within our earthly vessels. *The electromagnetic units of light energy, being stroboscopic in nature, pulse ‘in’ and ‘out’ of all realities. *These flashing energy units of light are geometric in nature, and have a very short ‘life’ span. *The whole process occurs through what the author refers to as the ‘Engine of Life.’ *The oscillatory harmonic flash of consciousness units occurs not unlike our respiratory process through mechanisms of the inward [matter] and outward [antimatter] conversion via black holes and white holes, respectively. *The inward-outward harmonic flash defines the threshold rate of consciousness perception in each simultaneous lifetime that occurs in a stroboscopic manner. *It is of a quantum scale and so very small in terms of our linear earthly time that is impossible to decipher. *As a result, what is clearly a discrete consciousness process seems to be continuous and without interruption that really occurs in a frame by frame and static manner. *However, analogous to the process of animation or ‘movie’ making, as the progression of frames pass in a quantum scale flashing instant, it all seems seamless and utterly continuous to our perception in the particular ‘parallel’ reality in question. 38 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

*Most of us perceive and measure our development by observing events occurring in our exterior world. *However, divine creational forces are at hand and operate above the level of the 12th dimensional field, which is the realm of Creator God, and much beyond the realm of physicality. *In this realm, there exists a ‘conscious generator’ pulsating with creational energy, flashing ‘in’ and ‘out,’ generating divine particulate units of consciousness light energy. *These consciousness units of light energy are embedded with codes of life, which are made available in all time-dimensions with their own time-space continuum, providing for all sequence of probabilities. *And, this was referred to as the ‘Engine of Life.’ *And, all of this is made possible through the advent of black Holes and white Holes and their mechanisms of operation.

*The process of operation of the black-white holes is essentially geared to two mechanisms: the black holes consume stale and useless matter as an energy source within the cosmos [either micro or macro] and relay them to infinitesimal white holes that revitalize, rejuvenate, and pump them out and back into the cosmos.

*Imagine that our Oversoul, occupies the hub of a bicycle wheel.

*Our scientist postulate that black holes are imploded supernovas; of extremely compressed energy, whose gravitational field is so immense that they practically devour all matter and light energy.

*It then emits this light equipped with its adamantine units of conscious light, and emits it, while stroboscopically pulsating to each soul residing at the periphery or outskirt of the wheel through the spokes that, in essence, represent the ‘fiber-optic spokes,’ of the light energy.

*However, they do not recognize that at the end/bottom of the black holes there are infinitesimal white holes that generate and supply new vitalized energy into the cosmos. *And, indeed, it is the ‘while hole’ that is responsible for constantly supplying new energy into the cosmos. *The ‘in’ and ‘out’ sequencing of energy conversion creates the oscillatory or the ‘flashing effect’ that is commonly referred to as the ‘flashing universe.’ *It is, indeed, intimately related to the nature of our consciousness in ‘time’ and the sequence of our reality. *Our oversoul [mother earth] receives this flashing sequence of light energy, and in turn, imparts it upon our soul.

*This hub, receives the flashing sequence of light energy from the depth of cosmos that comes to us through our sun.

*In turn, the soul creates 12 different ‘aspects’ of itself by sequentially experiencing life sojourns as an incarnate within distinct time-space continuum indigenous to a particular dimension of consciousness. *The reincarnation ‘aspects’ of each soul are bestowed with the light of consciousness through the spokes of the wheel, and receive units of conscious light, consciousness units, that flash ‘on’ and ‘off’ as a ‘lightening’ strobe at a quantum scale. *Each pulse simultaneously received by the oversoul sequentially animates a particular soul ‘aspect,’ giving rise to an individual lifetime in the continuum of time and space within a distinct ‘parallel’ dimension of reality. *Lifetimes, are not linear. *They co-exist in the quantum field of what is known as the eternal NOW moment. *Furthermore, the moments of ‘time’ we experience within a particular lifetime are, strictly speaking, nonlinear. *It is only in 3-D and lower dimensions that the sequential passage of time has been made to ‘slow down’ so significantly so we have the opportunity to observe the pixels of life more easily. *After all, due to the infinitesimal nature of our consciousness that spans within a single frame of static existence [what the author has referred to as the ‘discrete’ nature of our consciousness within a quantum scale], it is possible to superimpose the piece-wise linear sequence of events occurring in our 3-D lifetime to form an overall function of events that is clearly nonlinear.

39 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

*And, the perceived linear sequence of time as a result of it ‘slowing down’ has created the illusion of past, present, and future, which all clearly occur simultaneously and within the NOW moment. *The cosmos and the myriad of all its probabilities coexist irrespective of the nature of our consciousness or our limited perception regarding time and space.

*The soul aspects can combine to create a completely complex, new form of totality of consciousness, with infinite potentials, and probabilities. *At this point one is confronted with different challenges for instigating further growth.

*Each flashing pulse of light creates the consciousness unit within each lifetime.

*And, the soul becomes fully aware of the fact that it does, indeed, possess a greater identity as being a constituent part of the the Prime Creator, the SOURCE of it ALL.

*We are only individually conscious when our awareness or attention is pulsed.

*And, of course, there is always another level above to grow into within the omnipotent Prime Creator.

*These seem to be sequenced and linear, but in fact, there is a great timeless void in between each pulse that the author has referred to as the ‘darkening period.’

*Beyond our Oversoul, beyond our divine SELF, there is another Higher SELF [Avatar] and beyond that, still another [Rishi], of which our Oversoul is apparently aware of.

*As each lifetime soul ‘aspect,’ expands its consciousness and becomes more resonate, more capable of holding the energy of consciousness pulses, it becomes able to consciously expand back into the center, where the parent soul or oversoul resides, and becomes aware of the unity of the multi aspects of the hub and all the other spokes. *And in doing so, one evolves more, eventually becoming a constituent part of the center of consciousness. *All occurs in a pulsing sequence. *We are, indeed, a flashing ‘aspect’ of our oversoul, which resides at the center of wheel of consciousness. *This hub is a conduit of flashing conscious light and emits an infinite pulses of light to the end of each fiber optic spoke, to germinate one of our incarnational soul aspects. *When a soul aspect becomes aware that it coexists on many layers, irrespective of the seemingly pulsing aspect of time sequence, it becomes ‘one’ with the parent soul, and becomes conscious of the eternal NOW.

*SELF tells us that there is a reality beyond this human reality that cannot be adequately described using human vernacular. *Truly all reality, all consciousness, has no beginning and no end. *Indeed, ‘time’ is circular in nature. *There is, indeed, an expanding universe, newer timelines that are ever formed or created in the eternal NOW of our present. *Simply stated, we co-create our own reality in a multidimensional manner beyond what we are ordinarily capable of perceiving. *The mechanism of conscious creation involves crystallized awareness entailing impeccability or purity of thought, thought that is the image our soul strives for. *Our existence on this planet of duality, upon this Omni Earth, is somewhat limited in perception, yet quite purposeful by design.

*When one becomes fully conscious in the NOW, one can literally go backwards and forwards in time and can be in all places and in all times simultaneously.

*In reality, our matrix of reality is manipulated and controlled by outside sources who strive to enslave and parasitically feed upon our light of consciousness.

*It is then said that the soul aspect becomes actively multidimensional.

Dr. Mohsen Paul Sarfarazi is a retired professor of “Micromechanics of Materials,” an area in science that was introduced by him and soon made popularized by other scientists in 19980s. Dr. Sarfarazi’s Ph.D. thesis entitled “A Micromechanical Constitutive Modeling of Brittle Crystalline Solids,” is an abstract theory marrying the qualitative experimental account of Material Science and the advanced quantitative theoretical mathematical modeling of Continuum Mechanics. The formulation employs only a single constant referred to as the“Coefficient of Microcrack Nucleation,” which is completely verifiable through experimentation, incorporating fundamental parameters defining the geometrical configuration of the crystalline structure, as well as relevant material properties. Several articles were extracted from the thesis and were published and archived in the International ‘Journal of Fracture Mechanics’. The field quickly took off by many other scholars, soon culminating in numerous publications, complete symposiums, and even new University Departments dedicated to the subject area of ‘Micromechanics.’ The author soon stopped pursuing a further career in research after engaging in research and teaching at such higher research and educational institutions as University of Maryland, Army’s Ballistic Research Laboratory, Atlantic Research Corporation, Institute of Paper Science and Technology of the Georgia Institute of Technology, etc. The author came to the intuitive understanding that ‘we contain the knowledge of ALL THERE IS within us’ and that ‘we can discover, and we can invent; but ALL THAT CAN BE CREATED FROM ABSTRACT already exists. Furthermore, his direct experience with facing the Dark as exemplified by his recognition of ego, as exhibited by selfservicing other ‘scientists,’ clearly disappointed the author from further venturing in science. The author diligently embarked on a quest to comprehend the ramification of ego on man’s integrity, realizing that ego-based ambition is not virtuous but destructive, as are anger and fear. Furthermore, the inter-relation between positive thinking and defeating the Dark was well understood.

in SERVICE to God and humanity, with the underlying mission to raise consciousness in this era of preascension for humanity. It is hoped that through publication of these articles together with instructional videos, books, and by appearing and giving lectures in myriad of international conferences, symposiums, and spiritual retreats, eventually a ‘bridge’ is created between the two disciplines of metaphysics and mainstream sciences, uniting the mind and the heart, leading to a unifying collective consciousness for humanity. It is time for ALL to wake up from slumber NOW. This is the time of ascension. It is a new Golden Era. It is time for mankind to awaken from amnesia and start to remember. It is time to be, once again, multidimensional, and welcome the new consciousness that the accelerating Light and the speeding time is bringing us via raising our vibration frequency in order to be able to resonate with the higher frequency of vibrations of “Heaven.” Dr. Sarfarazi’s efforts are done in respect and appreciation for the Almighty’s directives, the ‘Divine Plan’ for humanity, and in SERVICE to God and the mankind. Enjoy. With Unconditional Love

CONSCIOUSNESS The LIFE and DEATH of HUMAN EVOLUTION by Michael White Ryan www.languageofspace.com

The great Albert Einstein knew??? We have forsaken all to become a world of positive thinkers! While busy being/doing the right sociable acceptable thingies we have forgotten to look beyond the selfie at what is evolving in the largest areas of our lives. This is a thank you to the awakening/passing of Brian Allan Edwards. Life and death surround us in a kaleidoscope of continuing challenges, which we are consciously aware of and yet totally obvious of, at the same time. We have lived in an era of idealism, a time when we were led to believe we are the manifestors of our own lives, which is absolute rubbish. Think about this for a moment, we live out a life of destiny of our own choosing. Ask the question, what is destiny? DESTINY The hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future…..fate! The events that will happen to a person in the future. If our, yours and my destiny has a hidden power, it is most surely that destiny and manifestation are one and the same. We have bypassed this divine universal gift by stinking positive thinking that we are somehow the creators of our own lives. It’s a total misconception of “who we are”. For thousands of years we have followed an idea based on an idealism, which has absolutely no foundation. We have managed to screw ourselves over so cleverly, we have built towers of beliefs so tall we can no longer see ourselves. Yes we 42 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

are definitely clever, of this there is no doubt! How did this all come about? The word was spoken and that word is that you have “choice”. What if it aint so? What if we were never meant to choose our own destiny path but instead have a choice in altering how we function while on the path? We travel through life how? Imagine this, that destiny is factual and we were born in a little boat (intuition) traveling down our individual current/path of a pre–destined life. While in this boat (life) we have a choice to decide how we live, what we wear, taste and do, all choices in the confines of the boat are ours to choose and ours alone. The boat represents the divine gift of intuition, always guides us towards our true unique path. Under its own steam the boat passes through rough weather, calm seas, travels through the wonders of the world, and we adapt by choice to the challenges or not, via our own thinking! Big T, the Silverback of motivational speakers teaches you to create your own life via disciplines that allows your growth to expand into the choices/goals you desire to have. This now qualifies you to be the creator/manifestors of your life. It’s so logical it is a natural perfect fit for logical thinkers, which constitutes most of the western population. Why do they follow, because they are sick of being out there as a minority, they want to fit into socially, to have their desires met. That crazy YES movie with Jim Carey is a great example of not creating your life by choice, could this have some deep hidden secret to living life to the max or do we limit it by educated choice???

In my leadership programs, expanding leaders to go beyond the self in their thinking to include the external is rather challenging on my part. The result orientated ideas coupled with the power of individual choice has all but closed the door on personal development/ evolution. My eighteen year young son and many others emphasize the idea we have infinite possibilities, but we don’t. For example, we get out of bed every day, the one habit repeated from life till death. Hence a single pattern repeated an infinite number of times. Our single patterns are infinite, our choices are not, until we become aware they need to be constantly updated.

You are not here to discover your purpose, you were placed on this earth to have experiences. Go out and get all you can eat, experience is energy!!! Blessings to one and all…..Michael.

Albert Einstein had it down pat when he said these words of reality wisdom.., “The intuitive source is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift” The gift is intuition and combined instincts, the servant is our rational mind, choice. Take heed, check your level of awareness, not the one you use in everyday living, but the awareness where you may have some level of connection to reality. Choice was never about desires, wants and needs, it has always been about which path you follow. A path by choice or the path gifted at birth by the divine universe filled with wonders far beyond the thinking servant mind. The “Intuitive Source” is like a boat flowing under its own steam, floating to where ever the current takes us. Females have known the power of intuition since time beginning, we males have some catching up to do. When I learned of this intuition, I decided to put it to the test. Living on the shores of one the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Barrier Reef, you need a boat to visit. The boat was three thousand miles away and $60,000. I purchased it unseen and had it delivered for $4,000. Everyone said I was mad, I had no idea what I was doing and it was the wrong boat for the open ocean conditions where we lived. We had hundreds of wonderful family adventures and after 5 years I sold it for $6,000 more than I paid for it. Follow your intuition. The choice is yours as always. The path of the mindset where you believe you control your destiny, or the path where intuition guides you to all the challenges you were put on this earth to experience.

Animals and Spiritual Evolution by Barbara Y. Martin and Dimitri Moraitis

46 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

Metaphysically speaking, animals have auras! They’re not going to have as large or as complex an aura as humans, but they have strong auras just the same. A cat, for example, will usually have an aura that reaches out about a foot in all directions. The colors will often be pink, red, and yellow. A dog will have a slightly larger aura, extending maybe a foot and a half. Blue, red, and pink are often seen in a dog’s aura especially if it’s loyal. The aura around a horse will be even larger, extending three feet in all directions often with green, yellow, red, pink, blue, and violet spiritual colors. An animal’s aura changes depending on its feelings and moods. They express anger, fear, sadness, and joy in their auras like humans do. Animals are instinctually psychic. They can often see spiritual energies around each other and people. They can even reach a place of tuning into their own higher nature. In this way, they go through a type of enlightenment and take on qualities we would start to identify as human. In many ways, they are more in tune with the spiritual realms than us, until we have learned to awaken our spiritual nature. Animals serve the divine in so many ways, but mainly by the giving of themselves. Humans gain strength and support from this miraculous part of nature. So, do your best to honor your relationship with the animals. Help them and let them help you. In turn, you will be fulfilling an essential part of the divine plan of life.

Animals play an essential part in the grand plan of life. Yet too often, we think of animals simply as things to serve us when in fact, they have souls and are on an evolutionary path just as we are. Animals look up to humanity for love and inspiration. We in the human kingdom have a sacred duty to help them in their spiritual development. Evolution unfolds at every stage of life— mineral, vegetable, animal as well as human. Just as the angels and archangels help us in our evolution, humans and meant to help the animal souls. Domestication is a key way of helping the animals. When you take in an animal as a pet, it’s not just for your pleasure. You are giving that animal an opportunity to develop spiritually. Animals are like spiritual sponges. They absorb and are uplifted by the love you give them. If you have a farm or ranch, you have an even better opportunity to help. Organizing a rescue shelter or adoption organization, becoming a veterinarian are all ways to contribute to the welfare of animals.

When I was a little girl, I used to live in an enchanted island of the exotic Caribbean, where I surrounded myself with the most beautiful dreams I loved to imagine as realities for myself once I would grow up and become the adult that could live them. This may sound like a cliché to you but only until I tell you that the reason why I am writing this article about my childhood dreams is because it wasn’t until recently that I realized the amazing creator I have always been since birth – and even before that – but most importantly, to remind YOU that just as me, you too, are the most amazing creator of worlds there could possibly be. If you believe what I just said and you are already creating and living the life of your dreams, I congratulate you and want you to know how honored I am to have you as my reader.

You ARE Living the Dream by Roxana Jones

http://roxanajones.com/ https://healthruwords.com

If you are still having a hard time believing in your skills and gifts as a creator, just know that I completely understand because I too had a lot of difficulty getting to the point where I find myself right now, confirming that with some extra effort, discipline and dedication it is completely possible to believe in those powers of yours and BECOME them. You see, in this fast-paced reality we are currently co-creating as a global community, the majority of us don’t have the time to connect the dots. Many have forgotten their dreams and desires from the times when their tender minds were beginning to make sense of what they were imagining as their world. What I now understand is that we are ALL living our dreams, even those who have not been able to connect the dots and see if this is true for them. Why do I say that? Because if we are alive, if we are experiencing reality, the only possibility to do so is by previously dreaming about wanting to be alive and experiencing our current reality. Now, it is also true that as we have not been conscious of our power as creators, we might have created dreams that are completely different to what we ‘think’ we could have previously wished for. No matter if you are living a life that you love or a life that you dislike, the process is the same: that life of yours right now has been a ‘good’ or a ‘bad’ dream of yours.

49 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

Using a personal example, in that enchanted island where I grew up, my father had a small library where I used to have some favorite books with pretty amazing photographs with many ancient sites of Mexico and Egypt. At age 10 or 11, I didn’t know that admiring and studying those images so carefully could bring them to my reality later on. But this was what truly happened! I visited Mexico and Egypt on different trips afterwards as an adult, and in both journeys I got to step in those same EXACT ancient ruins that in photographs I had admired so much as a child. This was only one of my dreams that came true but I have hundreds of them, if not more.

You are already living the dream. If it is not good enough, change it for the better. If it is bad, erase it forever. Until next time and don’t forget to be love,

As I grow older, I often find myself doing the mental exercise of connecting what I imagined in my past with what I lived later on, or I am still living as part of my present. This is such a compelling exercise that I truly recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their dreams, therefore their lives. It allows you to understand you do have the power to redirect whatever it is you are living right now. This is how you change any circumstance you no longer want to live: by knowing that if you created it, you too can change it! Identifying that moment in your past where you created something of your present, is a sure way to connect with the magical creator in you. My point is that anyone can remember the good and change it for the better, or remember the bad and erase it forever. We don’t have to continue living something we have fully experienced and has brought us the lessons it needed to bring us. We need to question if what we are currently living is still teaching us something, something that is making us grow, because if it is not, we must leave it in the past and begin to create a new dream. This is the way a healthy and healed mind works. Life is a continuum of dreams that a single person brings to life, from the day he or she is born until the day he or she dies. In that sense, we must stop believing that we only have ONE dream to accomplish because the truth is one dream leads to another, and then to as many as we want to live in this specific lifetime.

Q&A The

The Stranger Inside

In the February 2016 issue of The Eden Magazine, we are very pleased to feature international actress Sofia Milos who is best known for her role in CSI Miami and the hit HBO TV show The Sopranos. At the time of the photo shoot for the magazine, Sofia was very busy working on two feature films and a sitcom pilot. The two features are Stranger Inside, and an Italian film, which she shot in Rome, Odissea Nell’Ospizio. The sitcom pilot that was shot in Los Angeles is called Hail Mary.

Salas on CSI: MIAMI which I played for seven years, or THE SOPRANOS as Mafia Boss Annalisa Zucca, or my role of Homeland Security Agent La Garda in the Canadian produced show THE BORDER, among others; all women with guns on either one side or the other of the law. In this new movie THE STRANGER INSIDE, I play a Fertility Doctor Bianca Hartlin, who is in pursuit of love and yes, revenge. It’s a crazy story with twists and turns and some fatal attraction thrown in there too.

Here is The Eden Magazine's exclusive interview with Sofia Milos about her three upcoming projects.

3. How was your experience working on this project? It was fun and fast! In just a few days after reading the script, I was shooting EVERY DAY non-stop. It’s crazy how much we got done on a tight and short schedule. I love working and I love what I do, so when I get the opportunity to play something fun, I'm happy. Normally you shoot a feature film with a lot more time than what we had and so you get to hone in on more details and depth. You get more takes and coverage and you take your time in making every scene the best. We didn't have a big budget or a lot of time, but I think that everyone did a fantastic job given the short time available to all of us. I’m very excited to share it with everyone when it comes out. I had fun with the cast and crew and I loved the director who also wrote this Thriller.

1. Tell us about your latest movie "stranger inside'. THE STRANGER INSIDE is a thriller directed by Danny J. Boyle, written by Guy Nicolucci and Danny J. Boyle, and produced by Cartel Productions. We have a good cast. My co-stars are Kelly Sullivan and Gabriel Hogan. Kelly and I are the two women in Gabriel’s life when his past comes back to ultimately hunt him down. 2. Why did you choose this script? The role was offered to me by the producers Stan Spry, Eric Scott Woods, and the director Danny J. Boyle. When I read the script I thought to myself, what a twisted interesting story and what a crazy character. I really wanted to do it because I would get to co-star in a very juicy fun role. I accepted the part on short notice and we started shooting here in Los Angeles a few days later. It's also different from the roles that I have played in the last ten years like my role of Yelina 54 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

4. When is it going to be in theaters? We will have a first private screening at the end of September and I will know more then. It could be as early as this fall/winter 2016. I'm excited to share it with all my fans and friends.

Hail Mary

1. Tell us little bit about the pilot “Hail Mary that you recently shot. It's a hilarious comedy created by comedienne and producer Kiki Melendez and writer producer Craig Moss. We shot the pilot presentation for the sitcom, directed by comedian Paul Rodriguez, and we will present it to the networks at the end of this month. Emilio Rivera and I are also executive producers. Hopefully the sitcom will sell as we think we have a very funny show on our hands and I think our fans and friends will really enjoy it! 2. Who were your co-stars in this Sitcom? My co-stars were the very talented Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy, Gang Related), as my forgetful and stingy but loving husband Henry, Noemi Gonzalez and Gabrielle Walsh (from Paranormal Activity), as our daughters Mary and Stella. Mary is our innocent daughter and a novice nun who is pretty much our

Savior. She is the spitting image of her dad. Then there is our other daughter, Stella, 23, a seductress and double divorcee, who is the spitting image of mom. In all the comedic dysfunction they are also a real family who cares about each other’s well being. 3.Which character do you play in this Sitcom? I play Gina, a hot-blooded Italian who is a mother and a wife. The hot-blooded Italian part was quite a stretch for me… (hahaha) I get to have so much fun with this character. Emilio and I discovered that we have great chemistry and understanding on the set and that made it fun for both of us. 4. What is the message in this Sitcom? That in all the possible dysfunctions of a typical crazy loud Latin and Italian family, the love and protection for each other is always above all else.

Odissea Nell' Ospizio 1. Where did you film the feature film “Odissea Nell’Ospizio"? I was so happy to be filming this comedy feature film in Rome, my hometown. It allowed me the time to spend a month with my mother, which of course was wonderful for both us as we are very close, yet live so far apart. I always welcome any opportunity to spend time with her. 2. What is the story of the feature film ? It's a fun campy Italian comedy about the reunion of I GATTI DI VICOLO MIRACOLI after thirty years. The protagonists are famous Italian comedians, Jerry Cala, Nini Salerno, Umberto Smaila and Franco Oppini. I played Carla, Jerry Cala's ex-wife who is 20 years his junior. When we meet again, he makes the moves on me in

his wishful thinking. Italian actress, Francesca De Andre, plays our daughter. 3. How you feel about your role in this movie and why? After shooting the American thriller THE STRANGER INSIDE it was fun to switch it up with a campy Italian Comedy. Once I was told I'd be shooting by a poolside in a bathing suit, it sure motivated me to get into the best shape of the last several years and I'm very happy that I did. I feel great, fit, healthy, and sexy over 40. 4. When and where would be in Theater? The film will most likely have its world premiere in Rome, in February 2017. 55 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e September 2016

I see it often enough: a client comes in wanting help with certain issues. They’re unhappy and suffering emotionally and in some cases desperate for help. However, the most important pre-requisite for change is asking ourselves whether we’re really ready. Are we ready to explore the depths of our behaviour, and are we ready to be really honest with ourselves? Most people think that they are ready, willing and committed to changing, but are they really? Being ready, willing and committed means that you will have to put in constant work, as real change takes dedication and patience. It means that we have to be aware of our thoughts and actions on a frequent basis; it also means that we have to be willing to go deep and question the validity of our strongest beliefs. Deep change requires that we observe, question, strip away our masks and look at ourselves for who we really are. This is a process that requires us to be ok with vulnerability as it may be the first time that we are really exploring our innermost thoughts, feelings, actions and fears. Quite simply, it may be the first time that we are getting to know ourselves – and it may be uncomfortable in parts.

It is also worth remembering that the journey of deeper healing will most likely be a life-long occurrence. I tell my clients that their journey does not stop with the end of therapy, but rather continues as they begin to experience life through a renewed perception. I tell them that they will still face challenging situations, thoughts and feelings, but their task is to continually remember who they really are. I ask them to remember what they need to do in order to take care of themselves physically and emotionally; and most important of all, I ask them to continue exploring and engaging in activities that will continue to propel them forward. But it all starts with you. How willing are you really to look at yourself? If you find that you have faced continual challenges and if you feel as if you’re always stuck, then perhaps it is time to ask you yourself whether you are your greatest obstacle… If you would like to learn more about how you can heal emotionally, then check out Sunita Pattani’s book ‘The Transcendent Mind – The Missing Peace in Emotional Wellbeing.’ Which published in March 2015. For more information please visit www.sunitapattani.com.

You have done so well in your life journey, continuing to move forward in the direction of a greater knowing of truth, though it may seem at times that you are lost. The truth is you are being guided all the way. You are always receiving assistance by your masters, angels and guides who love and adore you. Your authentic self is always sending you loving guidance, gentle whispers of the heart, inspired thoughts to guide, uplift and bless. How Can We Stay Calm When Our Children Don’t Listen To Us? by Allison Carmen

68 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e August 2016

To conquer oneself is a greater task than conquering others” ~Buddha Last year, my daughter came down with a sore throat and cold, but she really pushed herself to keep going to school. She kept pushing until one morning I forbade her to go to school and took her to the doctor. All that pushing of hers had resulted in a case of bronchitis. In my mind I decided that she had gotten bronchitis because she was rundown from staying up late doing homework and it therefore followed that this would need to stop. So that night I put my almost fourteen-year-old daughter with bronchitis to bed at 8 pm. She was very angry about the early bedtime and sat on the floor and refused to get into bed. She came out of her room at least 15 times during the evening and the anger in me escalated. I took away her electronics but it did not seem to make a difference. I had made the decision that she needed more sleep and I had put my foot down. Yet three hours later I was still dealing with her defiance. At this point in the evening, around 11pm, I temporarily lost my mind. I screamed at the top of my lungs, insisting that she go to sleep. But no matter what I did or said, at midnight I could still hear her moving around and not sleeping. As I lay in bed that night, I realized why I had lost control of my emotions. I saw that I had bought into my own linear story that she must go to sleep at 8pm for her well-being and that every moment she was awake was terrible and would lead to more illness. In hindsight I saw that I was parenting without Maybe. Of course there are imperative moments when our kids must listen to us, like taking a particular medicine if they are sick or mandatory safety provisions during certain activities. Yet much of what we believe is “imperative” is a story that we are writing in our minds making us believe that there is only one way for our children to be safe and okay. In reality, most of the time there is some wiggle room in our mandate and our children will still be fine. I am not saying we should always give them wiggle room, but if it happens and they take it, often it still works out. For me, however, it is not just the wiggle room that we give our children that concerns me, but also how I acted and felt when my daughter didn’t listen to me. Yet, when I started to say “Maybe everything is okay” in my mind, I gained the perspective that I had lost in the heat of the drama. I still wished she had gone to sleep earlier,

but I recognized it was not the end of the world. Just allowing the thought of Maybe to play in my mind lets me pull away from the INTENSITY of the parenting moment when it seems like things must be one way. The next morning my approach had softened and we were able to talk with less anger and frustration. Because of what had happened the night before, would it take longer for her to get better? Maybe it would, but she would still get better over time. In retrospect, would I still have taken away her electronics? Absolutely. But I would have remained calm and been able to communicate with her for an acceptable resolution. And Maybe if I had communicated better she would have fallen asleep at 10 pm instead of midnight! So today, as you face your screaming child who won’t put on her coat or his socks or won’t go to sleep or do their homework or even your defiant teenager who broke a curfew, remember Maybe. Pause and Breathe and think Maybe everything will be okay. It will help you remember parenting is a long road and our child’s well-being generally does not come down to one moment. Let Maybe lighten your heart and bring some softness to the situation. It will also help you communicate with your child and open all of you to other possible solutions to what you are facing. Who knows, Maybe it will make all the difference!
