GOALS OF NEXT:

“Don’t be afraid to say next!” The employees and entrepreneurs at NEXT are encouraged to WELCOME new ideas and throw out or modify the bad ones. Once a dandelion is blown, the seeds fly away and spread out to connect all over; this is the goal at NEXT. The dandelion resembles nature, INSPIRES CREATIVITY, and creates the willingness to move on, around, and through the known to create the best possible products all over the world. The yellow, orange, teal, and deep turquoise color scheme encourages a CREATIVE, CALMING, CONNECTED, and CONCENTRATED workplace, while the hexagons and nodes throughout the floor plan produce COLLABORATION zones for group thinking. Multi-functional magnetic whiteboards throughout the space can be used for projections, displays, and jotting down new ideas. In addition to improving the work environments, NEXT is also environmentally conscious. All of the lighting fixtures are ENERGY EFFICIENT and the use of movable glass walls and lower partitions let as much day lighting as possible flow through the space. Privacy glass will be installed to provide CONFIDENTIALITY while supporting the open concept. Workers have access to workstations; however they are encouraged to MOVE AROUND and work in various spaces throughout the day. Project rooms can be reserved, collaboration nodes are placed throughout the space, and workers are also encouraged to bring their work to the café.
