01. The U.S. Embassies & Consulates

I have worked for three U.S. embassy and consulate complexes from design development to construction drawing phases. The contents shown here are only unclassified information. Due to the confidentiality, the majority of information including the plans, details, the name of countries/cities the projects happened are not allowed to be disclosed. My roles included but not limited to developing assembly details to construction drawing level, coordinations with consultants and contractors.

02. University of Portland - Lund Family Hall

Lund Family Hall is a student dormitory of University of Portland. I contributed for this tenant improvement project of cafeteria during I was working with Studio Petretti Architecture. The building was newly built in 2019, and the space was left unfinished for this tenant improvement.

The team composed of the plan with a careful consideration of the site lines, which eventually concluded in the simplest circulation.

As efforts to create comfortable space for the students, the team adopted Trauma Informed Design, and chose the warm materials that create at-home atmosphere. The simple site line with two exits are based on TID as well.

03. First Interstate Center for the Art

Renovation

First Interstate Center for the Art was originally design for the The Expo ‘74 in Spokane, WA by WMFL, the former company of Integrus Architecture.

Most of the interior finish, mechanical & systems were intact as the original condition.

This 22 million-dollars project aimed to revitalize one the most prominent symbols in Downtown of Spokane.

The focus of this renovation included Lobby, Rehearsal Room, curtain walls and roofs.

I was a project architect for this project from SD to CA.

I was in charge of most of the drawing production, presentation, code compliances, also worked for CA & consultant coordination.

Reception Room

This room used to be used as a rehearsal room. Since the construction in early 70’s, the interior finishes were not up to date. The room was entirely repurposed to welcome guests who come in earlier for shows. The bar and lounge were furnished to relax while listening music.

This is a renovation project of a classroom in an ex-junior high school in Tokyo. Currently, the whole building is being used as a gallery.

My peers and I, who belonged to Shibaura Institute of Technology, were offered this project by the client to open her new gallery which her collections would be exhibited.

The client also needed the space for storing her collections. Thus, we designed the gallery and storage in a 390 sqft small room.

I contributed to the overall process, design, presentation and construction. In addition, I was in charge of material purchase and estimation.
