Here is my report about this beautiful, elegant and modern typeface called Bodoni.

Bodoni A typeface by Giambattista Bodoni I loved doing this project because I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge about a specific font, all fonts in general, because the sources for the fonts have distinct characteristics and reasons for that. I chose to work with Bodoni typeface because it caught my attention after learning as much as I did about fonts. It is an elegant, modern and very powerful visual source. It can be used as either delicate or potent.. It was very difficult to find an identity for my project because I did not have many examples where this source was applied. For this reason I chose to develop a deconstruction of typography in a way that you only looked at it, the beautifully detailed, elegant and contrasting forms, and its impact on a page when manipulated in different positions.

Bodoni was developed in the mid1700s by an Italian named Giambattista Bodoni. The fact that source have been drawn in 1700 fascinates me because it has very modern traits that stamp pages of important and powerful magazines worldwide today. The contrasts between thick and thin serifs are of extreme beauty and make them unique to be applicable to various printing options, such as magazines, displays, and design projects.

6 The extremes of typographic refinement were achieved in the late eighteenth century when the Italian typographer Giambattista Bodoni further reduced the thin strokes and serif to fine hairlines and virtually eliminated the brackets. This modification created an elegant typeface with extreme contrast between the thin and thicks strokes.

BODONI is characterized by a contrast between the strokes.

Its unique, style and pronoxunced contrast make Bodoni suitable for headlines, logos or displays. Is not certain that these covers are Bodoni, but they are very similar and they have the same characteristic. As you can see, this typeface have been used in modern and famous magazines taking by side the fact that the type is an old one.
