With long awaited attractions like the Mountain Mayhem Coaster opening in the upcoming months and the expansion of the WaterPark breaking ground, there has never been a more thrilling time to be a Massanutten owner. We also recognize the importance of staying true to the community and the culture of our unique mountain life, and continue to strive to bring both excitement and value to your travel experiences and ownership.
Travel is a collective story. With Massanutten and the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains as the vibrant backdrop, owners are destined to create incredible memories with their family and friends. Many owners talk to me about generations of ownership and recollections of holidays, birthdays, and special celebrations at their home resort. Whether you’ve been coming to Massanutten since you were a child or are preparing for your first trip as an owner, it’s time to add the next chapter in your travel journey. We want to hear your stories, and opportunities abound through owner engagement activities including welcome events, owner surveys, newsletters, and a variety of robust social media options to connect with us.
Today’s owners value deeper experiences that leave a positive impact, time spent with loved ones, and wellness moments that last well after check-out. We know this season you will be choosing destinations carefully, slowing down to enjoy the silence and the stars, getting suited up for snowy mountain adventure, and indulging in the love of sharing fresh foodie provisions. Are you a fixed or float weeks owner? Points Ownership
Fixed vs Float
Timeshare ownership can be an exciting and cost-effective way to travel on a regular basis. Always, be familiar with your ownership requirements and know your deadlines. Find more reservation resources and calendars here.
The most common type of ownership is a fixed week timeshare.
Some owners want to vacation at the same time every year. Massanutten provides a calendar listing the weeks starting with the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday calendar week of the year. You can book your week up to 30 days prior to the start of your week. Go online at owners.massresort.com. Email reservations@massresort.com. If your plans change reach out to reservations at 540.289.4904 option 2 to request one-call banking with RCI.
A floating timeshare week is going to have more flexibility than a fixed week when it comes to the dates that you can travel. Floating weeks are typically used during a specific season or specific weeks you can reserve depending on the season of your floating week ownership. The key to a floating week ownership is to plan ahead. Reserve your week early to ensure better availability. If you are planning on banking, reserve first and reach out to reservations at 540.289.4904 option 2 to request one-call banking with RCI®. Floating owners are required to reserve first and then make the request for their time be deposited with RCI. Find all your ownership FAQs here. Get more information on RCI weeks membership here.
Points Ownership Deadlines
A points week ownership program gives owners a number of points equal to the level of ownership. The owner in a points program can then use these points to make travel arrangements through their points membership with RCI.
Deadlines for Points Owners
HOME WEEK
Reserve 13-12 months before check-in date
You own a fixed week and want to reserve the week and condo type you own. There are no exchange fees for a home week reservation if made 12-13 months prior to check-in.
HOME RESORT
Reserve 12-11 months before check-in date
You own fixed week and want to reserve an available condo at your Home Resort other than the one you own. Booking early means a nominal fee to change the week you stay at your home resort.
HOME GROUP
Reserve 11-10 months before check-in date
You want to reserve an available condo at a resort that is part of a larger group of properties in your Home Group. Massanutten home group includes Regal Vistas, Woodstone at Massanutten including Casa de Campo, Eagle Trace, Shenandoah Villas, and the Summit.

Protect Your Vacation Against Surprise With VacationGuard
By Brian Rock, VP, VacationGuard
VacationGuard® products were built not just by insurance experts, but consumers and parents. We’ve been on lots of vacations, and the one thing we’ve learned is that having the right protection is immensely valuable, regardless if we were flying or driving. We’ve seen it. Sicknesses that made us cancel a trip, where we got back our non-refundable costs, and annual dues. Trip delays from winter weather, road closures, and airport delays, where we got the comfort of a hotel room and a meal, instead of drama. And Emergency Medical Expense, which covered the cost of urgent care for us, or our kids, from kidney stones to broken bones.
Backed by Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, VacationGuard® adds some valuable peace of mind, so prepare against surprise and make your trip a lot smoother. At just $83, we never travel without it. Visit the Owners lounge or enroll with ease via this link.

OWNER CONNECT
Our Heart, Our Resort, Our Community
Massanutten thrives on building strong, long-lasting relationships in the communities where we work, live, and play. One of our core values as a Resort is taking care of each other and our community. We do this by regularly volunteering and donating to local organizations in the surrounding communities.
The Massanutten Resort Community Service Committee leads the Resort’s community service efforts. This September, we launched a new event, Massanutten Cares Day, where the Resort partnered with community non-profit organizations for a day of service.
• EAUS: Elkton Area United Services is a comprehensive social service agency serving eastern Rockingham County since 1972. EAUS aids with housing, electricity, heat, food, GED classes, school supplies, books, transportation aid, and senior citizen activities. The volunteer team at EAUS helped to sort donated clothing and furniture to make shopping easier for the community.
• First Step: A Response to Domestic Violence is a domestic violence shelter located in Harrisonburg that has provided free and confidential services to the community for over 40 years. Volunteers worked to deep clean and paint a new secondary location so that First Step can open its doors in support of more survivors in the community.
We are looking forward to making this day of service an annual event. Find more information on the Resort’s community service initiatives here.
Massanutten hosts four annual festivals that benefit local non-profits.
We celebrated on May 25, 2024 to benefit Rotary Clubs of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County.
We celebrated on July 3, 2024 to benefit Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA.

The Resort strives to find creative ways to reduce our overall carbon emissions, and become more energy efficient so that our neighbors, owners, and guests can coexist more harmoniously within the beautiful mountains for many years to come. These efforts are accelerated by our Sustainability Committee that was formed in 2021.
In 2024, the Sustainability Committee focused their efforts in finding new ways to have an impactful voice for sustainability with their youth education opportunities in the surrounding community, such as hosting educational field trips to teach about solar power and sustainable snow making. You can find a glimpse of the most recent field trip and what they covered here.
Taking Care of Our Property is not just one of our values, but something we practice. Massanutten has initiated three annual Resort wide clean up days in partnership with Adopt a Highway to help improve the appearance of our property and its roadways. Through this initiative, the Resort has almost 100 employees come out to help make our Resort clean and beautiful for all of our owners, guests, and neighbors to enjoy.

What is one standout guest memory you have had since working at Massanutten?
• In 2018, my second year working here a guest at Regal Vistas had a vehicle accident in front of his condo. The guest had health issues and needed to eat very soon. I went inside with the man, helped him cook some dinner and made sure he was ok.

How would you describe Massanutten in one word?
Why did you choose that word?
• Restoring – this is how I feel every day when driving to and from work and being able to embrace the Resort Drive scenery.
What is one place that you love about Massanutten that owners may not be aware of?
• The beautiful scenery from behind the stables. I stop almost daily to take photos from that spot. Also, there is a secluded place near Eagle Trace at Killy Court that is a peaceful and relaxing place to visit.
What is one standout guest memory you have had since working at Massanutten?
• About 5 years ago I was working in one of the model condos for Woodstone Meadows when a lady asked if I was able to help her with an issue with her door. I told her that I wasn’t able to help here, but I could call the maintenance team for her. When I returned to that condo the lady came out to give me a hug and thank me for taking the time to get someone there to help her.
What do you enjoy about your position at Massanutten?
The work, my colleagues, and making sure that we provide the best quality for our guests and owners.
