Change is upon us as we Spring Forward
O
Guild Fashion Show and Luncheon on February 13th “Love is in the Air”
n April 3rd we “Play for the Kids” at the Children’s Museum Golf Classic. If you haven’t signed up, please contact Chair Mike Armstrong now. There is something for everyone, even if you don’t golf. After the players enjoy a round of golf, we celebrate with an amazing turkey lunch followed by the Awards presentation and Silent Auction. This is truly a fun day, which benefits the Charles and Linda WIlliams Children’s Museum. On April 11th flowers are blooming at the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art courtyard for our annual Guild Garden Party and Luncheon. This event is always sold out as we gather to purchase flowers, herbs, and decorative pots. How fun it is to meet and eat in the courtyard, sipping wine or tea! See you there. Finally on March 14th the Guild members present at the general meeting voted unanimously to approve the amendments
to our By Laws. The changes will shift our election of a new board and the Annual meeting to more closely align the Guild with the Museum’s Executive Committee and Trustees timeline. The changes appear on page 6 in this issue of The Musings. I also wish to thank our current board for staying on for a few months during the transition. Each board member is dedicated to making the Guild the best ever. You all are awesome, as we work to bring additional funds for the Museum throughout the year. Don’t forget that during the summer months we will be working on the 55th Halifax Art Festival which will be held on Nov 4-5th and a new Family Festival of Trees on December 9th. Sign up because we need you! I promise that you will have fun.
