H MY, it is August already and September will be soon be upon us. The Guild board and our members are ready for the 20162017 season of Events and Programs. The “Fun” raising begins. So Get Ready as we ask our loyal volunteers to help out at each Event. The 54th Halifax Art Festival will be held on Saturday Nov. 5th and Sunday Nov. 6th. All hands on deck as we prepare for this key fun raising weekend whose profits benefit the Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum and the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art. It takes many volunteers from our members and friends to put on this successful weekend event. Why not think about becoming a Patron of the Halifax Art Festival! Next is the Festival of Trees Gala, which this year will be held on Thursday Dec. 1st from 6-9 pm.. Feast and imbibe with complimentary champagne and delectable eats from over 20 local restaurants. There is a silent auction for the beautifully decorated holiday trees, plus a holiday boutique for wreathes and unique gift items. And this is just the beginning......The Guild board and event chairs have been working through the summer to offer you, our members, some interesting programs and the time-honored events. So mark your calendars and save the dates. Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday Sept. 13th at 10:00 am. Welcome back! Come and have some fun, and volunteer. We await your smiles.
