About MBI’s Sponsorship Program Sponsorships are one of the fastest growing form of marketing in the United States – captivating target markets and prospective clients for businesses. With this in mind, you can find unlimited opportunities to broaden your competitive advantage by increasing your credibility, image and prestige by sponsoring Master Builders of Iowa (MBI) events. MBI holds many events each year that provide unique opportunities for sponsorships. From an industry standpoint, you will be hard pressed to find a better opportunity to network with construction colleagues than the many programs offered by MBI. And beginning this year, we are elevating the level of sponsorship opportunities with the transition to our new headquarters building in West Des Moines. Throughout this sponsorship guide, you’ll find new and exciting training, education, safety and networking opportunities to get in front of new audiences. It is important to know that for each event, there are limited sponsorship opportunities and should none be available for one particular event, MBI staff will work to find an appropriate sponsorship investment at another event. MBI is very appreciative of our sponsors and work to ensure value from each dollar invested. All of MBI’s current sponsorships operate on a first right of refusal basis. This means if an organization invested in the sponsorships last year, they have the first opportunity to take that sponsorship again. THE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE Entering its 12th year, The Leadership Experience is designed for a select group of members who “get” leadership. Participants of the program will leave with a personal leadership plan that will positively impact the way they present themselves both internally, and to owners. They will leave with powerful influencing skills that are necessary for success in the construction industry. Participants will range from any area of construction: executive, marketing, pre-construction, estimating, project management, field production, equipment and fleet management, accounting and finance, human resources and safety.

MB EYE ON THE FUTURE This will be the 20th year of this popular leadership program, which offers attendees a tremendous opportunity to become more involved as leaders in Iowa’s construction industry. Participants are nominated by executive management in their companies, and then the applicants are carefully considered by a selection committee. Participants have a variety of backgrounds in the industry: executive, marketing, pre-construction, estimating, project management, field production, equipment and fleet management, accounting and finance, human resources, and safety.
