YBUILDERs are a group of young dynamic, enthusiastic and eager individuals who are connected to the commercial construction industry and are looking for networking opportunities to attach a “face to that email.” We recognize that our industry does a mediocre job of offering networking opportunities for young professionals and it is our belief that contractors, designers, and others within the Iowa commercial construction industry can use YBUILDER to change that. What is “young”?
This group is primarily comprised of 22-35 year old professionals, though we certainly will not exclude anyone!
Why become a YBUILDER?
We want you to connect on a personal level with your industry colleagues. We’ve put together a comprehensive list of events for 2025 - social, networking, educational, and community-focused. Additional information will be released when we get closer to each event. Other perks include:

Annual Dues:
MBI Members: $55 per person
Non-MBI Members: $70 per person
(Includes, but is not limited to, the design community, the development community, financial services & legal communities, unions, construction management programs, and any interested party that has a connection to the commercial construction industry)
*Dues are annual and run on the calendar year. If you join before the completion of the Fall events in September, you will pay the full membership fee. If you join after the Fall events, you will be paid in full for the next calendar year starting January 1.
