For Superintendents 3-Part Series Throughout the life of a construction project, there are countless tasks that need to be documented, edited, and shared with the entire project team including the prime contractor, subs, and design partners. This three-part series will provide information, insights, and strategies for all to utilize Procore to its fullest capability in the areas of managing field work, safety, and sub-contractors. This series is ideal for anyone involved in a superintendent or similar field leadership role on construction projects.

Managing Field Activities (iPad, iPhone, and Android) April 4, 2024 | 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Procore’s basic tools are what superintendents are going to be using most. This is a baseline of transitioning from paper copy documents to Procore’s digital tools. Bring your iPad in the field to look at drawings, specs, and details instead of walking back to the field office. Track daily progress, manpower, deliveries, and more while walking the project. This session covers Procore’s Drawing, Specifications, Photos, and Daily Log tools for the iPad and other mobile devices.

MEET THE TRAINER

David has been working within the construction industry for nearly a decade. He has developed commercial and healthcare projects ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000+, while working in various positions, including Estimator, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, and Assistant Project Manager. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was an Owner’s Representative on a large healthcare campus in Michigan. This project had several Construction Managers on it using different software products, which Mr. Mills successfully taught team members to use efficiently. David joined ZenTek Consultants as a Technology Specialist in early 2023. During his time at ZenTek, he has developed custom solutions and training for clients, as well as written numerous articles and blogs on using Bluebeam and Procore efficiently. His knowledge of software does not end at Bluebeam and Procore, as he is proficient in Microsoft Office, Revit, PlanSwift, PlanGrid, Smartsheet, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Superintendents need to document, notify, and track resolution of hundreds of problems, potential issues, injuries, incomplete or poorly finished work items and much more. Controlling that immense amount of information across dozens of trades and subcontractors can be daunting. Procore has built-in tools for tracking all construction issues, notifying the necessary parties, and coordinating responses that makes a Superintendent’s life much easier. This session covers Procore’s Inspections, Observations, and Documents tool.

Superintendents are the leaders of the jobsite and are the primary individual responsible for overseeing their subcontractors. Let Procore assist managing & tracking your subcontractors. By adding subcontractors to the project, they can see the drawings updated on their devices. Keep up to date with all contracts, ensuring they have their insurance and a signed contract prior to working on site. Ensure the product they are installing is an approved submittal by the project team. This class covers Procore’s Directory, Prime Contracts, T&M Tickets, and briefly the Submittals tool and how simple it can be to use on the iPad.
