This edition starts with Proven sires, showcasing that in the World of Genomics, many of our most popular bulls, stand the test of time. The stars of this proof run are Pellegrino (Topnotch from the Missy’s) & Letsgo (Applicable from Laurie Sheiks).
Pellegrino added 139 daughters in 75 herds & increased overall Type from 1.36 to 2.15 & Udders from 2.79 to 3.07, ranking him 6th and 4th respectively. He added 399 production daughters in 188 herds & added 132kgs of Milk, improved on his Healthy Cow index, now ranked No 4 in the UK, & Calf Survival, now ranked No 7 in the UK, while maintaining a Top 10 position for SCC & Lifespan.
Letsgo added 57 daughters in 29 herds for Type & remained stable. This is remarkable, as the proof comprises a total of 857 daughters in 418 herds, spanning 4 European countries. Over half of these daughters in the proof are classified in Switzerland. He added 86 daughters in 174 herds for production & again the proof is consistent, now totalling 1225 daughters in 563 herds.
