VANS X ZHAO ZHAO YEAR OF THE RAT
Client : Vans Field : Environment Design Year : 2019 Brief : To bring the guests from the main door to Zhao Zhao artwork while introducing them to the concept “tunnel vision of the rat”.
To celebrate the year of the rat, Vans collaborated with the artist Xiao Xiao for a special collection. The concept of tunnel vision, the way rats perceive the world, was the main topic. Xiao Xiao artwork was set in a large room and the visitor was led through a maze before discovering it. The space is transformed in a progression making each visitor become a the rat. Through space compression effects, people change their perception of their environment. The circulation bring them from one experience to the other until arriving to the main room.

YOHO RISING Client : Vans Field : Environment Design Year : 2019 Brief : To create an environment introducing 4 pairs of Vans with their unique identity, while keeping a coherent theme throughout the venue.

2019 How We’ve Grown Yoho Rising - China Collection For this collection, VANS collaborated with 4 upcoming chinese streetwear brands. Each brand designed a classic pair of Vans inspired by their memories of the 90’s culture. Presented in a penthouse, it was the occasion to create like a slumber party with each brand embodying a special activity : street culture, rock music, retro gaming and kung-fy movie night. Using both the furniture already in the room and adding some custom made items, the shoes where presented within the brand concept and with the unique vibe of Vans.
