arr-Ag Ltd is a Canadian Family Farm based operation growing 37,000 acres of forage crops, cereal crops and oil seeds. Barr-Ag Ltd is the largest Canadian farm-based forage, processor and exporter. The ability to grow, harvest, and process allows Barr-Ag’s staff to ensure a higher and consistent quality. This begins with the selection and preparation of the fields, rotation of crops, the attention to harvesting equipment, (with our own fleet of cutters, and balers) and then the ability to select the quality product to process and export. Barr-Ag Ltd farms both irrigated and dryland farms. Barr-Ag Ltd have invested

significantly in new state of the art equipment for drying, pressing and processing of their alfalfa, timothy, dehydrated corn silage, plus the wheat, barley, canola, mustard crops. This includes importing and installing state of the art drying, and re-bailing equipment from the top manufacturers in Europe. This new equipment will provide the ability to increase the quality and consistency of products that are processed and exported. Barr-Ag Ltd markets are Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Middle East, Europe and USA. Over 90% of products produced are exported from Canada. Over 80% of the product exported is grown on the farms of Barr-Ag Ltd.
Barr-Ag Ltd has 2 processing facilities in Alberta. These are located on the plains in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. As a result of our climate, soil fertility and elevation, the use of Pesticides is very limited, and pests are controlled naturally. All alfalfa and timothy crops grown are non-GMO. Barr-Ag Ltd has experienced farm operators, production staff and export staff who have been with Barr-Ag Ltd for many years.
