Lemon oil is imported from the company’s orchards in Tucuman, Argentina. In this location, Citromax grows, produces, and processes lemons from its more than 48 privately owned orchards. Lemons entering its “state-ofthe -art” processing facility are processed into industrial products, namely, juice, peel, pulp, and oil. Through Citromax’s ever expanding orchards, conventional and organic lemon oil is sold as single and folded oils to satisfy its customers’ requirements.

CORBION HIGHLIGHTS SOLUTIONS THAT “PRESERVE WHAT MATTERS” AT GULFOOD MANUFACTURING 2022

Well-known for its leadership in the global market for lactic acid and its derivatives, as well as for its expertise in food preservation, Corbion will promote a much wider array of nature-based preservation solutions that includes vinegars, ferments and plant-based antioxidants at Gulfood Manufacturing, 8-10 November at the Dubai World Trade Center. Attendees who visit the Corbion booth (Hall 8, Stand H8-4) will learn how the company’s approach to food preservation extends well beyond effective pathogen and

spoilage control to protect other important aspects of product quality and performance.

“Food manufacturers have too often found that ensuring adequate safety and shelf life in their products leads to compromises in certain aspects of quality or product performance,” said Dr Mostafa Karzazi, Corbion’s Director of Sales for Western and Southern Europe. “But Corbion customers have been learning that those sacrifices aren’t necessary. This is why we talk about ‘preserving what matters,’ because there’s

more to preservation than controlling pathogens and spoilage organisms. Cook yield, waste reduction and other performance factors also make a big difference to our customers’ businesses.”

Corbion takes this comprehensive approach to preservation in key categories across the food industry. In processed meats and refrigerated foods, this includes prolonging freshness and food safety, as well as reducing sodium content without sacrificing the functionality salt provides.

According to the report, European apple production is forecast to top 12 million tonnes, while French apples will see levels of around 1.35 million tonnes, putting the harvest on par with 2020 and 2021 despite the testing conditions faced during one of the hottest summers on record in Europe.

A range of well-known apple varieties will be available, including the Golden Delicious, which remains the most produced apple in France, Gala, Pink Lady, Granny Smith, Red apples, and Juliet.

This innovative agroecological approach is based on the principles of integrated fruit production, which focuses on the supervision of orchards, biological control methods and cutting-edge techniques to ensure quality products for all consumers. In 2022, the apple crop of eco-friendly orchards will account for more than 70% of French production.

Another factor contributing to the great taste and long-standing production of French apples is the eco-responsible production process of apple growers. This includes following environmentally friendly methods that respect biodiversity in orchards while ensuring the economic balance of their fruit farms.

BEL MIDDLE EAST LAUNCHES NURISHH IN THE UAE

A new report by the French National Apple and Pear Association (ANPP) has revealed that Middle East consumers can look forward to sweeter French apples this year due to naturally occurring increased sugar content, a result of the Bel Middle East, a major player in the dairy branded cheese and healthy single serving portions, is launching a new plant-based alternative to cheese in the UAE: Nurishh. The company’s first native plant-based brand, set to play a key role in furthering Bel’s mission to become a major player in the healthy snack market – diversifying through growth in dairy, fruit and plant-based.

With 42% of the global consumers considered as flexitarians, meaning decreasing their consumption

of animal-based products, and vegans and vegetarians accounting respectively for 4% and 6%, these shoppers have become a key target for plant-based manufacturers.

Coline Tatibouet, Marketing Director of Bel Middle East says: “Bel Group practices a consumer-centric approach to innovation that focuses on products that meet evolving demands. Today’s households are full of different diets and food preferences – from lactose-intolerant to vegan, and everything in between – making it quite complicated to gather everyone

In a bid to support French apple producers export their products to the Middle East market, the European Union and Interfel, the French fresh fruit and vegetable interprofessional organisation, have confirmed a three-year plan which involves a series of activations targeting consumers, retailers and young chefs. The program will include over 442 in-store tastings, retail seminars and culinary training sessions, pop-up stands in several malls throughout the GCC, and activities with retail chains.

around the table sharing the same meal. Therefore, we have seen a growing demand for vegan products globally during the past few years. At a local level, this trend is reflected in the UAE, the Middle East window spreading trends coming from Western countries where a lot of restaurants are now offering vegan options for instance. Thanks to our expertise, we are aiming at democratizing plantbased alternatives to cheese with Nurishh which invites everyone to “Eat United”.”

Provacuno, a Spanish beef interprofessional association, organized a delegation of top UAE beef importers to visit several Spanish plants and farms as part of its Wonderful Beef 2.0 campaign as a trade mission. Participants learned about the safety and quality of EU/Spanish beef, which follows a strict and safe European production model.

Five UAE Beef importers - namely Excellence Meats LLC, Hope Gourmet, Parker Migliorini International Food Trading LLC, Sunlife General Trading LLC and Unique Seven Star General Trading LLC – participated in a 4-day trade mission which was conducted in Spain. On the first day, the group of UAE importers travelled to a renowned cattle farm, which stands out at the national level for being one of the largest producers of calves born and raised on its own farms through the development of homogeneous lines in breeds, sexes, conformations, and fat. The participants learned about Spanish Beef, which

emphasized productive capacity and extensive control from the source to create a recognized quality meat. This farm also selects specimens with exceptional characteristics from the “Aquitaine Blonda cattle breed” and are given special care in the breeding process. On the second day, the UAE participants travelled to Buñol, Valencia and toured a massive 55,000 square meter Slaughterhouse facility in Buñol (Valencia). This facility has a slaughter line for up to 100 animals per hour, a cutting plant and veal with a capacity of 130 tons per day, a chamber of meat products to produce snacks, minced meat, and burgers. They also have a massive cool storage center of fresh and frozen beef products, at a capacity of forty thousand cubic meters.

The third day of the mission involved a trip to Barcelona, where the participants were treated to a tour of one of Spain’s most long-standing beef production organizations in Barcelona.

ARCHROMA LAUNCHES APPRETAN ® NTR BARRIER SOLUTIONS FOR FOOD PACKAGING

packaging.

Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals towards sustainable solutions, today announced that its ground-breaking Appretan® NTR range based on 30% renewable raw material can now be applied to impart barrier properties to selected types of food

Consumers are increasingly frowning upon being served their favorite street foods or fast foods in polystyrene or plastic based boxes and wrappings. Paper-based packaging can offer a much more sustainable alternative if they are not lined with a plastic film which can make them unsuitable for recycling and composting. The solution is to carefully select paper coatings and barriers solutions which are fit for purpose and that are designed to make food packaging both safe for food contact and more recyclable.

Archroma is well known for its innovations and sustainable solution systems aimed at helping packaging & paper manufacturers to optimize

productivity and/or create value in their markets. Just a few months ago the company launched Cartaseal® VWAF, a PFC-free and ammoniafree* barrier for odorless paper-based food packaging, as well as in 2019, a ground-breaking binder, Appretan® NTR, made with 30% active content based on natural, renewable raw materials, designed for use in nonwoven articles such as tea bags and coffee filters.

In line with the principles of “The Archroma Way to a Sustainable World: Safe, efficient, enhanced, it’s our nature”, the paper & packaging R&D experts of Archroma decided to explore the properties of Appretan® NTR for paper-based packaging applications.

TETRA PAK AND NUITREE FOOD INDUSTRIES ESTABLISH SPECIALIZED END TO END PLANT-BASED FACTORY IN UAE AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Tetra Pak, the global leader in food processing and packaging solutions, held a signing ceremony with Nuitree Food to establish a specialized plant-based manufacturing facility in the UAE to provide a comprehensive End-to-End processing and packaging solutions delivery.

The collaboration is set to be one of the region’s premier solutions by Tetra Pak, a regional pioneer and Nuitree Food, a UAE based company which is part of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Qasimi Group of Companies. The solution comes in line with both entities’ visions on sustainability. Tetra Pak’s

strategic vision is to provide sustainable food packaging that ensures food safety and availability, while reducing the environmental impact on our planet.

According to a Tetra Pak study, by 2032, the market for plant-based foods is expected

to be worth $34.5 billion, as consumption habits and patterns are changing rapidly. Together with a better awareness of the food production process and the rise of today’s more ethical consumer, there is a positive perception that plant-based products are nutritionally sound. Whether it is local manufacturing, GMO-free ingredients, packaging, or transportation; transparency, sustainability, and sourcing are crucial factors.

Obtain a competitive edge with Bioprotection – and make a contribution to reduce food waste

of consumers avoid purchasing food and drinks with artificial preservatives

The global food industry is experiencing strong demand for safe, healthy, tasty and natural products with fewer additives but also demands for excellent shelf life and sustainable production /distribution ensuring that food does not go to waste in the process.

What if you, as a producer, could extend shelf life and keep your dairy products fresh longer? In an all-natural way?

You can! Through Bioprotection the art of using natural microbial food cultures to inhibit unwanted contaminants to prevent food spoilage and enhance food safety.

Building on the ancient traditions of fermentation, and relying on the newest scientific insights, we can use good bacteria to prevent and slow down the growth of bad bacteria, yeast and molds in our food.

Chr. Hansen has successful bioprotective cultures on the market to do the trick. Highly recognized by the global dairy industry, our range of carefully selected food cultures to protect dairy products is called FreshQ®.

worry about the long term health impact of artificial ingredients

Working on several fronts

In short, bioprotective cultures work by a combination of mechanisms that attack harmful microorganisms in dairy product. Such attacks include:

Eating their food: As good and bad bacteria compete for the same nutrients naturally present in our food, the good bacteria can eat the food that bad bacteria live on – starving bad bacteria and wiping them out.

Outnumbering them: Good and bad bacteria also compete for space which means that good bacteria can outnumber and defeat bad bacteria.

Fighting them: Like the coolest of troopers, good bacteria can produce natural organic compounds known as metabolites that attack bad microorganisms.

Sending signals: Good bacteria can even “signal” preventing other species from spreading.

Good bacteria are nature’s way of keeping our food safe and fresh – longer. Or as we like to say: “Keep it great!”

Protecting and strengthening your brand

What is bioprotection?

Bioprotection is a natural way to inhibit spoilage and protect against harmful contamination in food.

Bioprotection is the art of using microbial food cultures to inhibit unwanted contaminants –preventing food spoilage enhancing food safety

This not only helps you keep your products fresh and safe, it also helps you to build and protect your brand!

Chr. Hansen’s portfolio of bioprotective solutions gives dairy manufacturers a competitive edge without chance to keep their products fresh and safe by using nature’s own resources.

While it takes time and diligence to build a strong brand, everything can be compromised in one moment. Word spreads faster than ever, pictures of spoiled food and scary stories about dangerous food travel far on social media. And if the worst come to the worst, product recalls can be catastrophic to a brand and the relation to retailers.

Bioprotection can contribute to strengthening the trust retailers and consumers have in a specific brand and will enable everyone to benefit more from the products. Because when the food reaches the consumer it will be the way the food manufactures intended it to be each and every time.

It not only helps food manufacturers create a great brand experience – it helps them to Keep it great!

Kickstarting a plant-based cheese manufacturing

Plant-based cheese has steadily found its way to the mainstream supermarket shelves, and both dairy companies and food manufacturers are busy supplying us with the best plant-based alternatives to traditional cheeses made from cows’ milk. The potato is a great crop since the starch forms a clear, solid gel that does not affect taste or color. It can easily be combined with the cheese’s other plant-based ingredients, such as pea or soy

protein. Pizza cheese, spreadable cheese, block cheese and hard cheese, are just some of our plant-based cheese alternatives. Finding the right recipe for plantbased cheese requires advanced understanding and know-how –Which you will find at KMC.

THE ART OF BELGIAN MEAT

Belgium

may be a small country in Europe, but it is a big player in the European meat industry. Why do Belgian meat suppliers play such a prominent role? Because they have transformed their small scale (seemingly a disadvantage at first glance) into significant benefits— thanks to their specialisation, their tailor-made service and their pioneering work in food safety.

Belgian meat suppliers are first and foremost family businesses who strive for maximum added value for their customers.

Belgium’s efficient and modern meat processing industry is particularly known for its flexibility.

At the same time, the customer’s needs are unique. That’s why the Belgian meat suppliers want to cooperate closely with them to work out the tailor-made solution they need. Generations of perfectionists seek to bring safe, high quality meat to the market. From the production of feed to veterinary services to the slaughterhouses and cutting plants—each next link in the chain is as important as the previous. That’s why in every part of the process, you’ll find professionals who are expert in their field, and who are passionate about their job.

Belgian white blue

The story of Belgian beef is above all one about people. People who are concerned about their animals,

have a keen eye for quality and safety, who are concerned about the people who buy and eat their meat. The Belgian meat supplier has consciously chosen to export. It is a goal in itself. It is thanks to this focus that Belgium has succeeded in becoming an important player. Tradition and expertise form the foundation of that success. Belgian companies are flexible in meeting your needs and they create added value not only in terms of quality and return, but also with regard to service.

The dominance of the Belgian white blue is unique in Europe.

The production of beef is greatly specialised and there is barely any link to the dairy industry. Thus over 70% of the cows slaughtered are class S or E with regard to

conformation. The greater majority of the animals are fattened to a warm carcass weight of 450 to 600 kg (for cows and bulls respectively). The absence of fat leads to a very high muscle mass.

Slaughterers and cutters strive for maximum added value for their customers. That is why they have a very flexible approach to finishing, cutting and packaging. They adapt to meet the customer’s requirements. The great strength of Belgian companies is that they offer customised products. And often that is what distinguishes the Belgians from their competition. The possibilities are almost endless.

The diversity of companies and the competition between them results in a high degree of professionalism whilst preserving the individual character of each company.

CAPTURE COATED SNACKS MARKET WITH CENTRIFUGAL ACTION

Defined by their crunch, freshness and flavoursome ingredients — coated snacks are created when food-based ingredients in the form of liquids (or solids) are sprayed onto a product to enhance its texture and taste.

In addition to flavouring the product, coatings are also applied to help protect the primary ingredients of the product, and for decorative or product differentiation purposes, and to enhance shelf life.

Coated snacks hold a significant market share in the global snacks market and consumers are drawn to experience the exciting taste, texture and appearance of these products. Changing consumption patterns and a shift towards more sustainable, plant-based and immunityboosting products is increasing demand in this segment and processors must be ready to take advantage.

The Asia-Pacific region is seeing the fastest growth in the snack and nut coatings market, and this is driven by increased consumption of overall snacks and edible nuts. In addition, improved economic conditions in major snack consuming countries like China and India, is expected to have a positive impact on this market longterm.

The snackfood industry is now exploring new flavours — beyond savory, salty and sweet. Advancements in food processing technology is helping food processors take advantage of this opportunity and create new and exciting coatings for their products.

Dough-coated nut snacks, candy coated nuts and their chocolate, honey or yoghurt variations are widely popular with consumers, but the right equipment is needed to create the product consumers expect. The Spray Dynamics range of

SNACK COATING SYSTEMS Food Business Gulf & ME | www.foodbusinessgulf.com46 October-December 2022
The Spray Dynamics Centrifugal Batch Coating System can apply uniform dough, Tamari coatings, topical oil, and other dry seasonings or liquid coatings to a variety of products

coating systems offers industry leading accuracy and coating control to evenly apply liquid and dry ingredients.

Whatever your recipe or application, a solution can be designed to apply your powdered seasonings, oil and water-based coatings, slurries, chocolate, yogurt, and release agents.

Centrifugal Batch Coating System

The fully automated batch coating system from Spray Dynamics has a unique, centrifugal coating action — which provides precise control of batch size and delivery of liquid and powder to maintain consistency of the finished product. The centrifugal coating action of this system is ideal for products like dough-coated nuts, flavoured coffees, nuts and sunflower seeds.

How does it work?

A base product supply hopper (with pneumatically controlled

slide gate) delivers the product to a PLC controlled weigh scale. Accurately measured batches of base product are then fed to a coating chamber. Rotation carries the base product out to the coating chamber wall and solution is introduced to a high-speed spinning disc liquid applicator via a positive displacement pump — at which point powders are then delivered in alternating cycles via a Uni-Spense® Dry Ingredient Distributor.

Uni-Spense ® Dry Ingredient Distributor

The Uni-Spense Dry Ingredient Distributor is used to accurately dispense or distribute dry coatings to your tumble drum, blender, scarf feeder, or conveyor belt. It keeps coatings moving to minimise bridging and voids, and is designed to reliably transfer powders, granules, chopped, shredded, and natural seasonings, without flow agents. The Uni-Spense Dry Ingredient Distributor has been developed specifically for

the food industry and is easy to change over and clean.

Heat and Control are industry experts in product seasoning and coating. Don’t risk your business with inferior, out-ofdate technology. Let us help you select the best application method for your coating process and help you bring your best products to market.

NEW ISHIDA MULTIHEAD RAISES THE BAR ONCE MORE IN WEIGHING TECHNOLOGY

As it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its invention of multihead weighing technology, Ishida is launching its 11 th generation model. The new CCW-AS range has been specifically designed to offer the highest weighing performance to further increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), particularly for more challenging products such as sticky items, while at the same time delivering significant energy reduction benefits.

In particular, the AS weigher provides significant increases in productivity, enhanced hygienic design and simultaneously

addresses environmental concerns, all combining to maximise profitability in highly competitive markets.

Among its many performance enhancements is product transportation to the weigh hoppers with both increased control and power of all feeders, this is especially beneficial in high volume or sticky product applications.

Furthermore, each feeder channel contains an integrated optical feedback system that uses sensors to monitor product depth in real time. This allows both the feed amplitude and time to be independently adjusted on each vibrator ensuring the perfect amount of product is conveyed to the weigh hoppers.

The result of these enhancements are higher efficiency rates with more hoppers available for each combination to deliver even higher speeds and greater accuracy, which in turn reduce giveaway and improve production output.

Additionally, an advanced vision monitoring system with multiple cameras can be positioned at the top of the weigher to monitor the product feed so that production efficiency can be maintained and further enhanced. Live camera footage can be viewed from the 16 inch colour touch

screen HMI operator screen, a further CCW-AS enhancement.

From a hygienic perspective a slanted weigh drive unit cover and main body frame also enhance cleaning efficiency, thus reducing labour, increasing uptime and saving on cleaning consumables.

Despite its enhanced performance, the Ishida CCWAS delivers a 20 percent reduction in energy consumption compared to previous models. Noise levels have also been further reduced with the weigher around 16db quieter when operating at full speed.

In summary, the Ishida CCW-AS is an exciting evolution of an already advanced weighing system, bringing further advantages to customers in productivity and also in connectivity, enabling integration with existing packing lines and factory systems as part of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.

SOMIC READYPACK - THE PERFECT ENTRY INTO CARTON PACKAGING

With high-tech, exceptional flexibility and line expertise, the family-owned company SOMIC has developed into one of the leading manufacturers of end-ofline packaging machines.

From the idea to a globally active company

The family-owned company SOMIC Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1974. The visionary approach to the automation in food industry still contributes to the extraordinary success of SOMIC today. With passion and maximum precision, carton packaging machines of the highest technical level are produced for the world market at the headquarters in Amerang (Germany).

In addition to the headquarters, the company includes a production facility in Haag (Germany) and a subsidiary in Eagan (USA). Customers are large, global corporations as well as medium-sized companies,

primarily from the food industry, but also from the pet food and non-food sectors. Despite all its internationality, however, the successful machine manufacturer has remained a family business at heart.

Depending on customer requirements, the diverse product portfolio offers individual solution options. SOMIC end-of-line packaging machines impress with their long machine life, outstanding performance and exceptional flexibility.

The SOMIC ReadyPack – high return on investment

At Gulfood Manufacturing 2022 in Dubai, the packaging machine manufacturer will present the SOMIC ReadyPack for standard packaging tasks. SOMIC has developed an extremely compact packaging machine model that is preconfigured as a tray or wraparound packer for one-piece carton packaging and can be delivered in the shortest possible time. The reason: the design and basic construction of the

machine are already finished, only the format parts are custom designed and assembled. In the tray packer version, the SOMIC ReadyPack can later be upgraded to a wraparound packer if required. This standard machine also addresses companies that increasingly want to switch from manual packaging to automated packaging. With amazingly compact machine dimensions of about 3 x 3 meters, the SOMIC ReadyPack has full functionality and the proven SOMIC quality in terms of control, operation, format changeover, technical availability and safety. The SOMIC ReadyPack was developed for applications where a high return-on-investment with attractive packing performance is achievable.

This rise in environmental awareness has led to a higher demand for sustainable packaging solutions, and switching from plastic to carton packaging is one of the steps towards cleaner planet for next generations. Indian plastic ban, Moroccan Zero Mika law are only a couple of legal acts around the world in a line for single use plastic reduction.

The latest consumer insights gained through international research reveal opportunities for

of packaging applications — from water to snacks, from cereal to sugar, both on retailer shelves and in HoReCa segment.

At the same time switching to carton packaging can be challenging for small and medium-sized enterprises, which occupy an increasing share of the consumer goods and food market — high-capacity equipment is a significant investment. That is why there is a growing demand in the world for small and medium capacity filling machines designed for the production needs of SME.

The machines work with various types of blanks, forming both standard packages with or without caps, and non-standard ones such as Mini, Maxi, Diamond Curve, Sense.

From Argentina and China to Middle East

The Citromax Group has expanded its global footprint with two new locations, Citromax Ingredients Shanghai Co., Ltd., established July 30, 2019, and Citromax Singapore Private Ltd., established March 15, 2019, to provide its expanding customer base with excellent service and regional support.

We have an excellent working relationship with many local distributors and sales coverage with a focus on citrus oils, juice, (both concentrated and NFC) and other lemon by-products. The technical team works with local customers and together develop citrus based drinks meeting the taste and aroma requirements of the local market. In addition, the technical staff developpes proactive “market ready” beverage prototypes for promotion covering all categories popular in the local market. Some of the company’s technical product offerings include specialty citrus fractions, citrus top notes, the preparation

of extracts and emulsions, and the development and promotion of lemon juice and lemonade beverage bases.

From Citromax we are committed to strengthening our relationship with our customers based on direct, transparent, and confident information.

Considering the many economic and environmental challenges at play in today’s marketplace which include climate change, localized drought,

basic food ingredient and chemical shortages, logistic and transportation challenges, living through a 2-year global pandemic, inflation, and a slowdown in GDP, the need for F&F consumer products and basic citrus ingredients has remained on a relatively stable growth trajectory. These challenges have resulted in businesses and consumers being overly “cost conscience” more than ever. As a privately owned company which grows, produces, and processes lemons from its own orchards in Argentina, Citromax is well positioned to maintain its leadership role in its ability to supply the industry and its customers with cost effective lemon and citrus oil offerings.

FRUIT ATTRACTION CONFIRMS ITS POSITION AS THE WORLD’S LEADING EVENT FOR THE FRUIT AND VEGETABLE SECTOR

The fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, with Andalusia as the Guest Region, registered a participation of 1,740 exhibitors from 57 countries, and an occupation of more than 58,300 net square metres of fruit and vegetables spread over 8 pavilions of the exhibition centre. This represents an area growth of 42% compared to the 2021 edition, and 4% compared to prepandemic levels in 2019. The figures have turned Madrid into the fruit and vegetable capital of the world as well as ratifying Fruit Attraction as a critical

instrument for global fruit and vegetable marketing with the capacity to promote worldwide exports in the sector.

The convention has established itself as a showcase for national fruit and vegetable production, which has occupied 65% of the exhibition area, with the participation of all the autonomous communities except for the Balearic Islands. In total, there were 861 Spanish exhibitors.

Once again, Fresh Produce, the exhibition area for fruit and vegetable producers and traders, was the most represented segment, accounting for 72%

of the selection. However, this year’s edition also saw a notable increase of 57% in the Fresh Food Logistics area, as well as in Smart Agro, with an increase of around 99%.

International participation has grown strongly, representing 35% of the surface area and with exhibitors from 57 countries. The European presence was noteworthy, with a significant occupation from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium, in addition to the increase in participation from the Americas, from countries such

as Ecuador, the United States, Chile and Colombia, and from Africa.

Fruit Attraction also provided participants with a platform for international promotion and expansion with the ‘International Guest Programme’, financed by the fair, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and ICEX, which attracted 669 large buyers, retail purchasing managers, importers and wholesalers from 65 countries to Madrid. In this context, the ‘Guest Importing Country Programme’ was also notable, featuring Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam this year.

In the field of innovation, Fruit Attraction hosted a new edition of The Innovation Hub with

the exhibition of a total of 46 products and services. Along the same lines, the Innovation Hub Prize was awarded to Surinver in the Fresh Produce category, Syngenta in the F&V Industry category and Granada La Palma in the Sustainability and Commitment Actions category, each of which received 2,000 euros.

Fruit Attraction once again promoted the donation of fruit and vegetables from exhibitors for the Madrid Food Bank, which collected 39,000 kilos of fruit and vegetable products, distributed among 565 charities registered in the Community of Madrid, which serve 186,000 people every day.
