LORENTEGGIO LIBRARY
II place - architectural competition - Milan municipality working collaboration _ BAN
Milan, Italy - 2018
The new library is a nude structure; Not iconic and permeable, where spaces are flexible and transformable through the furnishings. A strong relationship with the context, completely traversable and transparent; It is a brutal and flexible object: fluid and open space where everything is moving. The library is an experiential space; The grid is a neutral space ready to be modified. The library is a laboratory of creativity that involves the community.

River front redevelopment and new cultural center
Lisbon, Portugal - Masterthesis 2016
The thesis deals with a design analysis and redevelopment of the area of the eastern front of the Tejo river in Lisbon. Taking place on the East side of the Baixa along the Tejo; fragmented and characterised by the presence of port activities that prevent the connection between the urban front an the water, This area is affected by a particular conditon: it is defined physically by two limits, from natural sources and other infrastuctures.

04 OPHEM working collaboration _ SHSH architecture, V+
Brussels, Belgium - 2016/2017
This project is a new apartment building which is located in the corner of the Ophem street and De Witte de Haelen street in the centre of Brussels. The new 6 floor apartment block has a curved corner in order to respect city scape and use the line of the existing street. The volume and height of the building is not going to disturb the neighbour by considering to protect as much as open skyline for neighbourhood buildings. Each apartment has a terrace which provides fresh air and a open plan living and dining room. On the top floor, there are two duplex apartments in order to give the best view of the street side from each apartment. The facade of the building is slightly textured in stainless steel, which will beautifully spread the street lights. The project has been considered as a lowenergy building.

06 Eterotopia organiser - workshop _
La Maddalena, Italy - 2018
Eterotopia proposes a frame dedicated to the production of a vision for the future of La Maddalena. A meeting place of competences and intentionality, which conjugate research and territorial policy. It is a necessity to bring Architecture back on the transformation of our territory, intended as a set of phenomena and physical elements, processes. A country of wonders often handled with disregard and superficiality. On the contrary it deserves an interpretation of the past and of the present which has to be translated into a project, a vision and a strategy. Eterotopia wants to inspire 8 design visions. 8 because almost after a decade of a missed G8 we take the opportunity to imagine the next scenarios of a precious land, which is refuge for contradictions and potential. The tone is critical and provocative on the one hand, subtle and visionary on the other.

NON PLUS ULTRA
Spatial installation at the belgian Pavillion EUROTOPIE - Traumnovelle 16th international architecture exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia
Venice, Italy - 2018
Mythology says that Hercules, in one of the 12 labours, built two columns at the Strait of Gibraltar to mark the edge of the known world. Non plus ultra was what the ancients wrote over them, as a warning for sailors to go beyond, but also for monsters to come through. Today Europe comes at a critical stage, alternating social media agitation and vacant civic spaces, materialising a barrier of emptiness which forbids people to discuss face to face the sorts of our present. The column embeds an obstacle which corrupts the practice of interaction; it’s a disturbing element that reveal the importance of this civic space through a condition of crisis. The alteration of the space raises a critic toward the distortion of collective confrontation and the precarity of individual political commitment. 46

08 A.MAZE.ING Design proposal workshop
Nida, Lithuania - 2016
Get inside the maze and find yourself, in a detached place from reality, it’s another place. You can choose between two possible paths, the white and the black, both mutually visible but never reachable with each other; like in a mirror. Once you enter, you see without meeting, you observe without touching while being part of the same totality. The labyrinth is created by repetition of the base module, interchangeable in position and direction. The L-shaped interlocking allows a solid joint, ensuring rigidity to the structure. The structure is covered with a black semitransparent fabric that allows you to see every possible path making the orientation difficult.

Obsessively I dreamt of a small, clean labyrinth at whose center there was a jar that I’ve almost touched with hands, wich i saw with my own eyes, but the roads were so twisted so confused, that one thing appeared clear: I’d be dead before you get there. the Aleph, JL Borges

A SACRED SPACE
finalist - architectural competition _ Archmedium
Rome, Italy - 2017
A travel to the center of Rome, the shops, the doors, the temples, then a square. Underneath it a moment of peace, meditation. Beyond the dark, light, the maze of the city. Between the great heterogeneity of Rome, our project returns to the city its place, so long an incomplete parenthesis of the historical urban fabric. The square is accessible by all, the tower amplifies its essence. A place that becomes a moment of aggregation, a place of eternal experimentation, and its very existence is determined by the differences that coexist there; So many doors will announce your arrival, but no border stops you. It introduces a space that develops inferiorly and it’s accessible through two monumental entrances. The light comes from the top of the tower and illuminates the altar and all the surrounding places. main view photocollage
