BALANCE: the new success for ambitious women

BY LEANNE ZECCHINATI

We all dream of building a successful business that helps our family live a fulfilling life. As ambitious women, we chase more money, freedom and joy. But along the way, chaos often sneaks in. Responsibilities stack up, calendars fill, and suddenly, the time we once spent with family, on our health, or simply having fun disappears.

I get it. I’m right there with you. I love pushing myself in my career—it energises me. But through life’s challenges, I’ve learnt an important lesson: when I prioritise the essential areas of my life, I have more energy to focus on my career without guilt. I refuse to let my business ambitions come at the expense of my family, friends, partner, health or happiness.

Life comes with its hurdles. It’s not about avoiding them; it’s about navigating through uncertain times and growing from those experiences. My perspective shifted dramatically when I lost my second daughter. The pain was beyond what I thought I could handle. It could destroy me or inspire me to create something meaningful, a life with purpose. I chose the latter, using that pain as a reminder to cherish every moment. I am forever grateful to Angel Tayla.

Sometimes, we become so focused on chasing the next goal that we delay our happiness until we achieve it. This mindset steals away the love, joy, and adventure available to us right now. Life is too short to ignore the things that truly matter. It might feel like hitting pause when we spend time with family, care for ourselves, or enjoy our hobbies. But is it really? Or is this where we discover the heart of what life is all about?

I believe embracing these moments is key to enjoying a successful life. When we focus on what matters most, external success follows more easily. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients— from parents and solo entrepreneurs to corporate leaders. No matter their goals, they all had one thing in common: a need to understand who they truly are. Once my clients gain clarity on their identity and values, they are reignited with passion to create a life of true meaning, prioritising what truly matters over simply chasing career-driven results.

At Inspire Your Focus, we support ambitious women driven to succeed. These women thrive in their careers but have started to realise that their ambition isn’t meeting all their needs, and important parts of their lives are being neglected. These women crave genuine connections —not just with their families, partners, and friends but also with themselves. They want to share more laughs, create lasting memories and engage in activities that light them up. Yet, as life gets busier, they often feel overwhelmed and disconnected from what truly matters. They need practical support to help weave these special moments back into their lives, allowing them to rediscover joy and their true selves amidst the chaos.

If this resonates with you, I encourage you to take a step forward. Take my free self-assessment quiz to help identify the areas in your life that may need adjusting. Remember, taking care of yourself and nurturing your relationships is essential. Let’s prioritise what truly matters.
