Hey everyone! I hope everyone has been planning for the school year. Things might get hectic as we settle in, so please be prepared to start holding meetings and service projects with your club! As always, if you need any help or advice, you can contact me. I’m greatly looking forward to seeing your clubs grow and serve over this coming year. Please stay vigilant with your work both in school and for Key Club, and I wish you good luck with your new classes! -Matthew Gendreau mrgendreau@gmail.com 757-727-3993

Do not forget to send monthly reports! These are one of the most important things your club can do for me. Even if your club hasn’t done much yet, it’s better to leave it blank than to not send it at all!

Contact Information

District Committees

Please send me the contact information for all of your club’s members! This was due a long time ago, and many clubs are still very late. This is all extremely important, as I need this information to be able to include your club in division/district operations and update you on the state of the division. Forms can be found on the division website.

Capital District now has openings for club members in District Committees. If you are interested in possibly joining one, please contact me. Feel free to email me with any questions about the duties of committee members.

Division Mascot

Recruitment

Divisions in the Capital District are officially allowed to have mascots. If you have any ideas for what Division 13’s mascot should be, please send them to me. Division mascots can be absolutely anything. We can possibly use our mascot to represent the Division on tshirts or at DCON. We will vote on a mascot at a later date.

Please get ready to start recruiting new members when school starts. You can try holding a large social gathering or other sort of event to entice newcomers to join your club. It’s also helpful to set goals for your club, and work together with your officers to reach these goals. I’ll always be available if you need help, and you can consult this page for more ideas: http:// goo.gl/bDU3z8

SLP Subcommittee

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

Key Club International is now accepting applications for the Eliminate Project SLP Subcommittee. If you are passionate about the Eliminate Project, please consider applying. If you have any questions, please contact me. Application can be found here: http://goo.gl/ epOgXp

With Halloween only a few months away, consider doing a related service project to help support UNICEF and the Eliminate Project. You and your club can collect money door-to-door, hold a themed dance or party, or other similar events. You can find more information here: http://goo.gl/ Us7cV8
