Now, WalletHub.com, a financial resources site, has ranked Scottsdale, Arizona as the 10th best place to rent among 180 rental markets across the country. The rankings are based on 24 key measures of rental attractiveness and quality of life.

Among those 24 key metrics studied are Rental Vacancy Rate, Share of Newer Homes, Rental Affordability, Cost of Living, Weather, Recreation-Friendliness, Job Market, and City Satisfaction Ranking.

While Scottsdale is considered a top-ten destination for renters, it’s also been named the No. 1 city in the nation for Highest Median Rent Growth Forecast. That’s certainly good news for investors purchasing rental properties.

And of course, it comes as no surprise to us that Scottsdale was ranked No. 3 for the Quality of Life metric in this study.

What better way to embrace the season, than with a front porch that welcomes guests with an enthusiastic nod to fall? With so many different ways to spruce up your front door, we thought we’d highlight just a few of our favorite themes that have us melting with inspiration and anticipation of that first night when a real chill hits the air. Can’t wait!

Yes, autumn is all about the rich colors of turning leaves. Crimsons, oranges, browns, and yellows.

However, we’ve fallen in love with a front door décor comprised of a palette of whites, creams, and beiges.

Think varying textures and varying tones of this classic monochromatic look. Use white and cream pumpkins and gourds, neutral-colored foliage and flowers planted in bleached driftwood planters, a nubby cream-colored throw, and textured accent pillows in tones of natural beiges.

While this look has made its way into many, many homes recently; we still love this relaxed, homey, and comfortable style. Think classic lanterns filled with twinkling candles, hay bales, milk jugs filled with the quintessential autumn flower – mums, galvanized tin accessories, and of course, the iconic chalkboard sign.
