English not important ? English is a very important language because it's the language the most spoken in Europe and all around the world. But here we're going to show our interest about English in Europe.
- Is English better than our language? English language has good and bad aspects. The good aspects of the English language are: understand everybody, speak with everybody, etc...... - Is it the most spoken in the EU? In the working world the English language is the most spoken because it's an international language but isn't in mother tongue; it's German. -Say yes to a multicultural Europe! If Europe is a multicultural continent is a very good thing because there is a certain diversity around this continent. So English language is very important to communicate with the others persons from all around the Europe and the world.
ENGLISH AS A LINGUA FRANCA FOR EUROPE
Why English should be the lingua franca of Europe ? • First it would be a way of communication between the different country of Europe because actually English is the language the most talk in Europe. • Moreover, “it could intensify the linguistic hegemony of English” said Robert Phillpson. In fact English will have a place more important that today because more people will speak it. • Finally it will be very useful for the exchange because when you travel in the country , most of the time the population doesn’t talk the same of the traveller.
THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE English language is known worldwide because it is the universal language. Many countries speak this language in the world and now, it’s almost normal to speak English. When you go in a foreign country, you can often communicate with people in English.
It’s a rather an easy language with easy conjugation and accent. You learn it really early at school and you have many other ways to learn it (watching movies in VO or listening songs).
Hollywood is the most dominant force. Most movies are in English and the most powerful music industry is located in Los Angeles so most famous songs that we can listen in radio are in English. It’s the same operation for technology and video games.
English is everywhere so even if you never take class to learn this language, you know some words that you see them everywhere.
