From the Publisher Finally!
One of the most memorable lines from any movie was “Build it and they will come.” (Field of Dreams, 1989.) Our version is “Print it and they will read it,” and we finally have. After several years of planning we have finally launched the initial issue of Hawaii Real Estate Guide! The publication you are now reading evolved from the Maui Real Estate Guide, which our company purchased last year, for the promotion of that island’s real estate. Our plan was to double our printed copies per issue then expand onto all islands by the end of 2012 and we accomplished that goal with the last issue. Now it is time to change the name to reflect our state-wide exposure for our readers for all islands, not just Maui. We saw a niche in the Hawaiian real estate publishing market for an ‘island-wide’ magazine; with sections for each island and that’s what we have created with this issue. We asked, “Why read several island publications when you can discover real estate properties on all islands in one magazine?” We feel we deliver a more complete product for the visitors to Hawaii and residents as well. This publication is different from others in several ways: first we have ‘Hawaii-wide’ advertisers in the front section, with specific island advertisers in each following section, one for each island. Then the reader can browse through the properties and companies on the island they are visiting AND those they may not see on their current trip. This way the reader can compare the values and unique properties on each island in one publication they can take home with them. We feel the advertisers represented in this issue represent a unique cross-section and diversity of companies, agents and properties Hawaii has to offer—from oceanfront mansions and rental units to condos, golf course villas, timeshare properties, building lots, farms and ranches on all islands. With one publication you can peruse the Hawaiian Islands and contact agents on each one. While some Realtors and companies feel ‘print is dead’ we disagree and these clients have concurred, which is why you see they don’t just rely on the Internet for their listing and company promotions. They proactively present the finest properties and products that Hawaii and its people have to offer, on their websites AND here in print as well.
